Located in downtown Old Worthington, The Whitney House serves made from scratch, refined yet rustic, American comfort food. We utilize fresh and local ingredients and constantly look for new and innovative ways to serve our community.

The Whitney House pays homage to the homes and kitchens in our past that welcomed all, treated everyone like family and offered drinks and food made with love.

We opened the Whitney House because we love our mothers. Our menu is based on the glory days of Sunday dinners when the entire family would pile into the dining room (and the living room if we ran out of chairs) to sit, catch up and enjoy a delicious meal together.

We want for you to feel at home when you stop by the Whitney House. We are looking forward to serving you!

We offer Happy Hour Tuesday-Friday 4-6pm in our Tavern

Our patio is open and is sat on a first come, first serve basis and weather permitting.

I feel like we were a random neglected table. No one knew who are server was including us. Every one was very nice but no one actually waited on us. The hostess took our order because no one ever arrived to do so. Things we asked for never arrived. After sitting at the table by myself for 30 minutes I had to hunt someone down to pay the bill. I feel like I over paid for a below average experience.

There are new owners, a new menu, and a new vibe! The place is busier than ever, but tables are two close together and it is difficult to hear. I could touch the person in the table next to me!

Came here last year for my birthday and had a phenomenal time. This year the overall experience was mediocre. The server we had was new at wine service and he kept dripping wine when he poured for us. His service overall was great other than that. I was surprised they only had 1 meat option for entrees. They had a Walleye, a Salmon and on special was Red Snapper. Seafood overkill. And then two veggie options. The Walleye needed salt but the succotash was delicious. I was disappointed they hit the lights as soon as the check was paid. We were on our way out, so we found that rather rude and an abrupt end to our meal. Especially on a Saturday night. There was still one other couple in the dining room as well.

Food and service were outstanding. Noise level was off the charts, especially for lunchtime. Conversation with my friend was almost impossible. We will need to go elsewhere the next time we want to catch up.

Salmon is absolutely off the charts AMAZING! Service was very good. The manager was kind enough to discuss private party options with us during the hours they close between lunch and dinner. Wonderful experience !

I'm really glad we finally tried WH! Upon arrival we were greeted by multiple staff members and given our preference of seating location. Our waiter Natalie asked if it was our first time in and explained the menu specials and helped recommend cocktails/starters. Even though we sat outside, Natalie and other staff checked in on us regularly, ensuring the flow of our meal was well paced but not at all rushed. The cocktails were excellent and I could have eaten the whipped goat cheese and bread all day. Our entrees were prompt and delicious. I had the Sunday Supper, a Rigatoni pasta with mushroom Bolognese, and it was a super cozy dish that I finished the leftovers of later that evening. The atmosphere of the patio was quiet and relaxing. I look forward to visiting again!

The restaurant was busy but our waiter was extremely slow and really ruined our experience. They took our drink order and took forever to bring them and when they did they were not our drinks that we ordered. Sat for at least 30 minutes before they took our food order.

Went for Saturday morning brunch. Server was personable but service was slow and took a while even though restaurant was not busy when we got there. Ambiance was great. Cocktails were great. Food looked appetizing but was lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting for a while. Taste was overall good.

Our first time here for brunch after many enjoyable dinners. Big surprise was the gluten free Belgian waffle, which was delicious. Also had the steak and eggs, with the chimchuri on top of the perfectly done steak a nice touch. Only shortfall was our server couldn't keep our coffee cups topped off. He was on top of things otherwise.

Our group of 5 ladies had another wonderful experience at The Whitney House. We started off with a glass of Prosecco to toast a birthday. Three of us ordered the grilled fish sandwich, and it was very good. One of the ladies loves the grilled cheese sandwich so kept her tradition of ordering one for herself. The birthday girl ordered the gnocchi. I got to taste it, and it was delicious. Maybe I will order it next time - and there will be a next time!

I first dined at the Whitney House a few years ago with friends and really liked it. Since then I have been back twice. (I live 65 minutes west of Columbus) This time I brought a good friend for her birthday. The food was exceptional especially the coffee cake which I had for the first time. Not your run of the mill coffee cake for sure. Glad we ordered to share. Generous portion and oh so delicious. The servers are always kind, courteous and prompt. I also love the setting in Worthington. I will continue to recommend it to friends and family. Keep up the good work.

Great birthday celebration at the Whitney House! Service was right on. Very friendly and efficient. Cocktails were great. Food was great. Started with the Brussel Sprouts and Prosciutto appetizers and ended with a wonderful ice cream cake for dessert! The Short Rib entree was the best!
