The White Hart at Moorwood Moor
renovation. Reclaimed brick and stone walls with solid oak beams mean the original character of the building has stayed intact but expect
plenty of 21st century touches. Bedrooms feature stylish fabrics with on-trend wallpapers, crisp white bed linens and chic scatter cushions.
Downstairs the welcoming wood-panelled bar serves real ales, cocktails and everything in between while the restaurant dishes up homemade meals using locally sourced ingredients.
Fabulous outdoor seating area. Lovely comfortable seats, very clean and tables evenly spaced. Very nice atmosphere and service and food really excellent.
Food very good but the service let them down. Very nice outdoor seating area but no idea how to get there or booking it.
First time out since March and was a little worried due to the current situation but there was no need to be worried at all. All well set out and staff were fantastic.
Great surroundings great service and food good price would recommend friendly staff
We stayed over night at the hotel and had the dinner bed and breakfast deal. 3 courses and a bottle of wine. Fab deal, food amazing just paid extra £4 for steak which was worth it! We where stuffed! Breakfast in morning was fantastic too! Staff friendly and a nice atmosphere lovely seating areas outside too 😀 would definitely come again and highly recommended. Thank you.
Great meal, excellent service, lovely place to eat , really enjoyed the whole experience and will be definitely going again x
Expensive relative to the quality of food served. Nice setting and attentive staff.
Lovely place, great food and lovely setting would really recommend a trip here.
We have been coming to the White Hart for a number of years now and have always had a lovely meal.
However our visit on this occasion was a little below your usual standards.
I t all semt a little chaotic, service to be acknowledged at the bar and also to be shown to our table was very slow. And the food for the 3 of us was also below your normal standard
Hopefully it was just a one off.
Already contacted the white hart moorwood moor.
It's has been a regular of ours for some time however the food was terrible still waiting for a reply from them??
They need to up their game. One word terrible
We visited very early on a Friday evening and were the only diners though trade did pick up as the evening went on.
The restaurant is clean, comfortable and in fantastic rural location.
The staff were really friendly and our food was served promptly. The food was really well cooked and clearly made with quality ingredients.
The only down side was that the service was a little poor. We waited too long for the order to be taken, there was no check back and as a result we never got to ask for any sauces or condiments. We were not offered the chance to order a second drink despite our glasses being empty when food was served. We ordered got drinks with our desert but they never arrived.
Great location, great food, friendly staff.
Food was really lovely and very good value. Service was poor though as waiting for food for a very long time and other tables were being served before us even though they’d arrived after us. The scheduling of food clearly needs working on. It may have just been a very busy Fathers Day I’m not sure
Family meal booked for a birthday celebration plus Fathers Day on same day. Limited Sunday menu. Food was ok, beef was very tough and chewy and cost overall was very expensive. When we came to pay the bill we had to inform staff about a number of drinks that had been added to our bill that weren’t ours (over £20 worth!) Overall, lovely place and decor, but food overpriced and disappointed overall. I could have had same quality at a much cheaper price at Toby Carvery.
Throughly enjoyed our Anniversary meal at the White Hart.
Easy to book and was lovely to receive a email double checking the booking. Arrived early but was happy to seat us, was given plenty of time to look at the menu and the lady even offered side which wasn’t on the menu and double check with the chef if he could do them (onion rings), food was delicious and hot, even got a surprise treat as it was my birthday with a free happy birthday chocolate moose (which I shared with friends)
The food was delicious, my only problem is that if you want to sit and chill all afternoon, the chairs are a bit hard except for the ones with the sofas but they are always booked
Food was absolutely amazing! I have fussy kids and they ate every last bit of their food! Very good size portions and reasonably priced too. Staff we're very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning
The dinning experience at the White Hart is always pleasurable the fo
Starters excellent, one of our party’s main course was very over cooked and was sent back and was taken of the bill.
Lovely Sunday lunch served by very attentive staff.
I have been here many times for food and drinks and had a lovely time no and complaints or faults
However the bottomless brunch exprience yesterday was disappointing, service was slow, the drinks was lacking alcohol despite them being "cocktails" and the full english breakfast we all had was bland and dry.
the server appeared to avoid eye contact for further drinks after maybe 2 rounds of "cocktails" leading us having to que up at the bar for drinks. which mentioned above were certainly not the same cocktails being made for the other paying guests.
at 1 stage we were quing at the bar for atleast 15minutes then wait a further 8minutes for our drinks which is a fair enough if there wasnt a 2hour limit on the bottomless brunch.
we wouldnt recommend the bottomless brunch and it was not worth the £25 each we paid.
we arrived expecting a lovely treat and left very deflated.
Had the date night meal for two; two stone baked pizzas, two sides and a sharing dessert, all for £32. The food was fantastic, had a Farmhouse and Peking pizza with dough balls and hand cut chips, then a sharing cookie to finish (which was a bit sickly). Other than that, the meal was great. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere was brilliant. Fantastic value for money and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Very enjoyable experience. Food and service good and tables are set sufficiently far from each other that other people's conversations do not intrude. Good ambience.
The noise in the bar was loud but when we sat down it was ok. Service was faultless. Really impressed. Would definitely re-visit.
We called for a late lunch on Sunday and the team looked after us very well. Food was very good and arrived quickly and the service was very friendly.
I would'nt recommend for the food at the moment, sorry. We have always loved the food but not so much this time, sorry. I had haddock and chips. The haddock was very very greasy and the chips had been fried a while beforehand and kept warm. My Dad had crumble for pudding and the cast iron pan was so hot he almost burnt his hands. I do feel that it has gone down a little in quality, sorry.
Fantastic service, food came out quickly and all tasted amazing! Thankyou for the great service and tasty food as always
This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be going again. I would recommend The White Hart to all my friends and family.
Sunday lunch wasn't as nice as normal. very short staffed had to wait ages for ordering desert and then ages receiving desert ..not the normal service we have received.
Restaurant looked little untidy too.
We often visit on a Sunday, good food and great value for 2 courses. Service seemed slower than usual this week, we dined at 5.20 (we were late for a 5pm booking I did ring to say and staff were great about it) everyone had eaten. I think it’s better to visit slightly earlier.
We usually love the White Hart and look forward to visiting but on this occasion we were disappointed. The staff are very good and the food is tasty but we had to send back a Sunday lunch as the Yorkshire pudding was cold. The meal was returned but the rest of the it was also barely warm. It was a shame as the starters of breaded prawns were delicious.
As an assistance dog user, I was very disappointed to be told I wasn’t allowed to eat in the main restaurant and that “dogs” have to stay in the bar side. I have never been duscrinated against previously in one of their sister venues before so this was a bit of a shock, I also didn’t appreciate a “pet dog” having a barking fit at my well behaved dog under the table by my feet.
As our visit was for my mothers 83rd birthday, this wasn’t what I expected or should have had to accept.
The food was quite average, and it wasn’t particularly hot. The waiting staff however were friendly bringing my dog water and a treat.
After visiting previously for a drink sitting in the beautiful gardens, I was in no doubt that this is where to treat mum for her birthday.
I will think twice before visiting any of these related venues in the future.
We were first in at twelve but God knows how long the plates had been under the warmer. Average food for above average prices.
The food was nice but the service was poor, food arrived but no cutlery, had to ask twice whilst food was getting cold. Roast dinners served with no roast potatoes despite them being listed on menu, nobody asked during the meal how the food was. Great shame.
lovely food, fantastic customer service. thank you
Great place for the best Sunday Lunch and you can even take in dogs who were treated to their own water and dog chews
Service excellent, Food fresh hot and generous portions. Some noise from a wedding reception disrupted table conversation
Nice lively pub/ restaurant.good food served with a smile
Wonderful meal for mother’s day but the music was too loud
Easy to book on-line, friendly greeting, dog friendly (staff provided dog chews!).
Relaxing atmosphere, not rushed.
Good choice on the menu & specials board.
Service efficient & wait for food minimal.
Presentation excellent & quality very good.
Overall very enjoyable meal experience.
Noticed as we were leaving that staff were preparing to serve late comers despite them arriving well after last orders for food - nice to see.
