   Fabulous Sunday lunch. The quality of the cooking was such that we are looking forward to returning to try the a la carte menu one evening.

   Fantastic lunch on a sunny afternoon in the garden. Everything was perfect for a birthday treat.

   We were somewhat disappointed with the food on this occasion. I had the belly pork, which I’ve had and enjoyed previously (a few years ago). Unfortunately it was rather dry this time and eating it all was a bit of a challenge. Service was very good.

   Not a good welcome, no smiles, didn’t make you feel positive. It was busy and service was slow. Forgot the drink we ordered when reminded said it was on the house so that was positive. Dessert was beautiful but moules were tasteless. The food however was not a problem, it is a nice place to go. However the staff were very busy and did not seem very happy and this feeling transferred over, it did not make us feel like coming again.

   We both had dishes from the lunch menu, salt and pepper squid and moules mariniere, both were delicious and washed down by a splendid glass of SA Chenin blanc. Service was also very good from all the staff. Many thanks.

   Lovely food, great setting and very good friendly service although not cheap and should offer a lunch special menu at weekends

    Excellent place - welcoming service and great food. The pace of the service is good, not too fast, if still attentive. We were impressed by staff knowledge of the menu, allergies and wine. Had lamb, pork belly and hispy cabbage and all were very good indeed. We’ve been coming here on and off for 30 years, and it’s better than ever.
