Very good food and experience. Drinks from the bar were terrific. Would definitely come back.
Excellent service and the crab cake are the best in DC!
Birthday dinner. Service was great. Food was good and the ambiance was really nice.
Our waiter was very thoughtful and patient with us since we had to delay ordering. Restaurant Week
Menu was a great value.
Thursday was a great evening to got for dinner and the Warf provided a casual dining experience with good good. Would recommend it for a date night.
The food was amazing! I ordered the crab cakes and my boyfriend had the garlic shrimp pasta, both amazing dishes!
Great food and service!!!
Food came out fast and was very delicious.
Great food, great place, oustanding service, 100% great
Over an hour wait with a reservation. An hour wait for the food. One dish was severely undercooked, the other sat under the heat lamp for a very long time. Hosts and waiters were rude. No reason to patronize this restaurant again.
We had a 9:30 pm reservation but it took an hour for a table to become available. Service was a little haphazard but food was good.
This was our second New Year's Eve dinner at the Wharf. Last year, due to the government shut-down, the restaurant wasn't that crowded. This time, even though we had a 9:30 reservation, we waited until after 10:00 to be seated. It wasn't any fault of the Wharf staff...just that other diners had finished eating and paid their bills but just weren't leaving their tables! However, once we were seated in a nice, cozy table near the back, we received speedy, excellent service. Our food was delicious. We all had raw oysters...yummy.. and for entrees two people had Ahi tuna, one had salmon and one had the surf and turf. Rave reviews from all diners! We shared desserts of key lime pie and still made it to the fireworks display on the Potomac (only a block away) in plenty of time. We will be back at the Wharf again next New Year's, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
The Restaurant is great for fine dining. The food is amazing. The only thing we didn’t really like, was how busy it was. We got our reserved table 30min later than supposed, as ghey were delayed. And it was all served pretty fast, cause they had still a lot of people waiting. So we expected to leave later and were almost “shown” the exit. For a New Years Eve it wasn’t what we actually expected.
New Year's Eve dinner was outstanding and we were so pleased at how quiet the restaurant was so that we easily could talk. Our server, Edwin from Guatemala, was excellent. We are so pleased that we were able to get a table. We will go back many times for special occasions.
The food was good but we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time and we were seated next to the door and exposed to a cold breeze every time someone walked in.
Very happy In went to this nice restaurant to celebrate New Year’s Eve with my sisters family. Really nice atmosphere, food and service. We had a great time 🥳🎉❤️
Went again on New Year’s Eve. Waiter and service were very good. Food was lukewarm and not very good. This is consistent with the last couple of times we have gone to the Wharf.
Went for New Year’s dinner. Even though it was full, the food and service were superb
The Pace of the service was rushed.
We were done dining in 45 minutes.
This place doesn’t feel like a upscale
Restaurant no more.
This was our second year having our New Year’s Eve
Dinner there. We come all the way from California.
Our waiter’s name was Ishmael (seated upstairs) and he was fantastic! Our only negative experience about our evening was the long wait for our table (we had reservations). We will definitely go back and will request to be seated in Ishmael’s section if at all possible.
Excellent atmosphere and service (it was NYE), very, very good food (the steak was outstanding!). Really good portions (not too large).
Put us by bar, too noisy to have conversation. Meal was cold, service great!
Nothing not to like. Excellent seafood. Broiled deafood platter was outstanding. Service was efficient and non - intrusive. Historic atmosphere. Staff from reception to Miguel, the bartender, were polite and courteous
Everything was perfect! Food and service was absolutely wonderful! I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
We returned to The Wharf for our New Year’s Eve celebration, and were not disappointed. Even though we arrived 45 minutes early for our reservation, we were promptly seated. Our server, Tim, was exceptional, and we were very happy with his food and wine recommendations.
God willing, we will be returning there next New Year’s Eve.
Took the wife out on date night for dinner. Food was awesome.
Terrible food the steak was dry even though asked for rare, server was miserable and not very attentive. Food was same as you get at red lobster just cost 3 x more
Great food and service. Lovely venue. Wait staff read my instructions for a birthday and delivered it right on time at the table. Staff was very accomdating for our party. Will definitely recommend and return.
A great dining experience during the holidays! The calamari was exquisite, their seafood sampler was even better!
Great food and normal DC prices -- with good service!
Delicious food and drink in a variety of options to please most anyone. Prices are comparable to other upper echelon seafood restaurants. Facility itself is vintage old town Alexandria located about a block from the Potomac River with ample, nearby parking options. Dinner for four with appetizers and drinks was $300.
Wonderful place to have dinner. Nice people and real taste food.
We had an amazingly delicious dinner. My partner said it was the fest steak he has ever had, I felt the same about the crab cakes. Only disappointment was there is no side option it was green beans or green beans. Ordered side salads because neither of us liked green beans.
Good crab cakes My wife’s salmon was way under cooked. They corrected it right away. Great service,
Delicious meal, wonderful service.
We went for brunch for my grandmother’s 88th birthday. The food was great and our server Kenneth was outstanding! The running water from the nearby restroom was noticeable, but should not take away from the lovely atmosphere and wonderful dining experience. Will certainly return!
The food and service was great. The portion size was very small.
Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a table in the back corner that had plenty of room for the six of us and some privacy, which was perfect for us.
Great appetizers. The wine recommendation was just right.
Nice atmosphere, Had lunch there. The Maryland crab soup was Luke warm- not hot enough. Great service.
