Outside seating is limited and will be based on first come first server basis and during high volume days limited time duration may apply.We are providing both Indoor, outdoor seating and takeout. History has been written inside the walls of the Wharf, with its 1790's style architecture featuring original wood columns and beams that are charred black from a Civil War fire. Since 1971, satisfied diners have been heading to The Wharf in Old Town for whole Maine lobster, local soft shell crabs and prime steaks. The restaurant has recently been renovated and remodeled and the menu updated to include many contemporary seafood items along with their traditional Chesapeake Bay creations.

It’s was an wonderful out. Beautiful evening music was lovely to the ears. We ate outside. Drinks were more juice than alcohol. Best course was appetizer to which I had deviled eggs with tuna. Salad wedges were excellent. After that all down hill. All food that arrived at the table was cold, no steam from anywhere. Strange bc no one was there. I mean for the food to come out cold there wasn’t a crowd for that

I chose this restaurant for my birthday and anniversary celebration. We also celebrated with another couple as one of them was deploying soon. We let the staff know of our celebration. Service was slow but they were also busy. The location is beautiful, the vibe was fantastic but the evening fell flat with a rude server. I ordered the jumbo soft shell crab. While the server did not cook those, they were not jumbo at all and they did not taste good. After having a bite of that, I didn’t want to spend $48 on something I didn’t like and wasn’t going to eat. So my husband politely told her I didn’t like my food. She snatched the plate and said “well you ate half of it” let me see if my manager will do anything. Mind you, she said this loud enough other diners turned to look at us. Not only were we embarrassed it was clear she had said something like this before based on her confidence. She also gave my friend the wrong side dish and after that display my friend didn’t want to say anything. While we did eventually get management involved and I was given a discount and a different meal. Melissa (server) ruined the experience and part of the evening for us. The manager apologized on her behalf. I can say the food is decent but service was not at the level I expected for the location and price point.

My server was extremely attentive. The dish I ordered (shrimp stuffed with crab emperial) was delicious and the calamari was great as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend

A family group of 8, had dined at The Wharf, happy for a long-awaited gathering with relatives who travelled from out-of-state. Our table was ready & waiting for us at our appointed reservation time. Our group which included children were well taken care of by the staff. Cocktails put us in a relaxed experience from the outset. Food was fresh and all dishes were well-executed and enjoyed. We started with oysters and calamari, both excellent. One in our party gobbled up with gusto the Maryland Seafood Chowder; steaks were cooked perfectly accompanied by tasty french fries; seafood dishes were all terrific. A bottle of sauvignon blanc was the perfect pairing to our fish dishes. Being fully satisfied, we forgo dessert. A lovely evening was had by all.

The manager and staff, including our waitress Rochelle were absolutely amazing. We had some issues with the soup when it first came out and the manager made sure to correct it. The food was very good and the environment was pleasant, although a little warm. Thank you very much!
