I have been going to the Wharf for years! I actually make it a point to go! Unfortunately this time I was not satisfied to say the least! The air conditioning was broke. The food was mediocre and the service was very slow! My server was very nice, however I think the work laid for her on this evening was overwhelming.
Active bar with live music that penetrates the dinning room making it even more noisy but still tolerable. We were there on a busy Tuesday evening in the summer and service was fair at best. The food we good and well prepared - we especially like the steamers and king crab Mac and cheese. Mains were solid and flavorful. Enjoyed the salmon Oscar and the crab cakes. We weren’t offered dessert which was mainly the reason for the poor/fair service rating. Usually a better experience but might have just caught an off night.
Great food! Our waitress Eileen was awesome! Very attentive and wonderful! The restaurant was beautiful, we had a very great dining experience!
On vacation. We come to the wharf every year the night before we leave. Down in wildwood for 10 days. Love it there. Our server Hannah was excellent. She was fast and efficient.
We were there 2 nights in a row and the food and service (Lisa & Marisa) was great, along with the entertainment that we stayed for. Excellent place, we will be back!
We came for my husbands Birthday. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She made our dining experience great! Food was amazing as always. We were there to see the sunset off the bay. All in all it was wonderful! Cant wait to go back!
My ahi was served over raw cabbage and poorly cooked and priced rice. I found it offensive and when I told the server twice, she brushed me off.
Way over priced and no one seemed to be in a good mood.
Food was outstanding steamed clams are the best I've ever had. Nick our server could not have been any more helpful. 4th time here and they take reservations.
Our waitress was very sweet. Our food was delicious and our view of the bay was beautiful!
I have a mixed review of this restaurant. We had reservations and were seated immediately by a window overlooking the bay. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal of broiled lump crab cakes and my husband enjoyed his raw clams on the half shell. He did not feel the large slab of prime rib was the best and his baked potato was cold. He did not mention this to our very pleasant waitress or to me until after we left the restaurant. We enjoyed the ambiance and the band. We would return.
I DON'T THINK THE FOOD WAS WORTH THE $90 WE PAID. THE CRAB CAKES WERE DRY AND THE CHICKEN THAT MY FINANCE GOT WAS THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. ALSO, THERE WERE FLIES ALL AROUND US THE WHOLE TIME AND WHEN WE SAID SOMETHING TO OUR WAITRESS SHE JUST LAUGHED IT OFF! I DON'T THINK WE WILL BE COMING BACK AGAIN. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Food good However a family member tried to call in and pay for our dinner in the restaurant will not allow this country is very disappointing
Food ok-nothing special. Broiled crab cakes were fairly good. Definitely NOT “super lump crab” cake. Sup “steak fries” for seasoned rice. Hardly steak fries, they looked like the ore-ida thin crinkle cut frozen fries-tasted like them too. My husband had shrimp cocktail -hard to peel otherwise-ok. Magi mahi-said it was fine. Took home a piece of cheesecake-yuk. The worst part is for my $100 dinner for 2- was the LOUD music and the even louder screaming children. My husband described the scream as sounding like a pterodactyl . After 1 particularly loud primal scream—1 of the men said “ that was a good 1” and laughed heartily. Unreal. Why do restaurants allow this to go on? When my son was little-I took him out to the lobby until he calmed down. Please think of all other customers who may bot come back because you allow such behavior. I surly won’t.
The service and food was both excellent. You can't have a bad meal at this place or I never had nor my family. Service was impeccable! Can't wait to go back again real soon and sit on the deck outside!
Hostess, Food, Server 7103 Patricia all Excellent. Great sangria too. Seated promptly at reservation time. Ample space between tables so didn't feel crowded. I always read reviews before going anywhere and found any negatives I read completely unfounded. Dining room quite comfortable, music not too loud, not one fly to be seen. Maybe on the outside deck but not in dining room. Would definitely recommend and will be returning next time in Wildwood.
I order the Neptune meal and there was no crabmeat or Holliday sauce it was awful and awful customer service
Overall, very nice experience for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was very sweet and the food was delicious. Only complaint was as part of my birthday, I really wanted to see the live band play but by the time we were done dinner, there was no place to sit outside to see them!
My family and I came to beach for the weekend for my daughter’s 15 birthday. The Wharf came highly recommended by our hotel staff. The locals know where the good food is. Due to the time of day, I easily made the reservation online. When we arrived for our 8:45pm reservation, our table was not quite ready and I was extremely disappointed about that, but luckily we only had to wait a few minutes and were seated shortly afterwards. Our waitress, Marissa, was absolutely a sweetheart and an excellent server! The food was spectacular! We will definitely be returning to The Wharf our next visit to Wildwood Crest!!
C'est la deuxième fois qu'on y allait, encore aussi satisfait que la première fois. Très bon, frais et de très bonnes portions. Un peu bruyant par contre, mais pas assez pour nous empêcher d'y retourner.
We wanted to try it out and see the band after dinner. We get there and had to wait even though we had a reservation. Then we were bummed out because we were told the band we came for wouldn't be playing because of the rain. Food was so so for the price. We won't return.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food
Such a great find! Great menu and service and experience. Julia was an amazing waitress and it was fun to watch Danny the busser doing his thing. This place was packed and yet the service felt attentive and we weren’t rushed at all. This is our favorite find in the area!! We will definitely be back :)
My fiancé and I came here while visiting Wildwood. Our apps were delicious - we ordered crab mac and cheese and mussels. We also ordered scallops as our main meal, which were good. The service was great also!
My only complaint was the rudeness of host station. It was our first time there and I assumed I made a reservation for outside. When I asked they acted so rude toward me as if I should have known.
Food was excellently prepared with fresh seafood and sides. Appetizers and salads were delivered promptly . Some time elapsed before main entree arrived . Overall great dining experience.
Our favorite restaurant at the shore! A must go place for amazing food and atmosphere. Best sangria at the shore!
Restaurant inside is a bit on the noisy side for dinner - but the fact that you take reservations and provided us with a quiet table by the dock (not deck) more than made up for it.
Overall, I love bringing new friends here.
We took some friends who were visiting in Wildwood Crest there for dinner. Our friends like the Wharf so much they took some family members back there the next evening.
Service was great! Food was awesome !!
Theresa, our waitress, was very good. Our table was right by entrance door which was constantly opened and slammed shut. We all ordered surf & turf and it was burned, including the potatoes. Would not recommend surf & turf. Have been there a few times before and their other menu items are much better.
Vacation- great spot. Would go back for sure
We waited an hour and a half to get our food. Soup was cold. Too loud to talk to each other. Beautiful location but couldn’t enjoy it.
Food & service was very good. Very good dinning experience. Stayed indoors.
Overall good experience. I wouldn’t rush back but I would willingly eat here again.
We were out with friends and everyone enjoyed our dinner.
We vacation in Wildwood every year, and have been for about 10 years now. We discovered the Wharf 5 years ago, when we went to see a Band " The Juliano Brothers" and have been going there ever since. The Prime Rib melts in your mouth, and the staff is very attentive no matter how crowded it is. This is our Favorite Restaurant in Wildwood, and I think it always will be!!!
Great atmosphere, service was superb and food excellent. Bartender mixed up a batch of tasty Sangria that was fabulous. Would highly recommend this restaurant for everything noted here
too much noise for a dining area....too close to the outdooor stage. won't be back
Seated upon arrival at our reserved time. Waiter Joe very attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meals blackened mahi mahi, prime rib, lobster tail special. Very accommodating for childs meal.
