Excellent meal, great service. Little cold in the bar area, but otherwise another great meal at the Wharf.
Great food great atmosphere! I would definitely recommend it in the future.
First time we ate there. Outstanding meal and service. Arguably the best seafood I have had in the DC area and no doubt in Old Towne!
great place to dine in food and service are great. nice place to share a romantic evening or just a get together with friends.
We had a table for two at 7pm on a Friday.
(Covid note: The restaurant had limited seating outside but it’s January and freezing so we didn’t mind. Most places on King street in Old Town had tents out front with seating, but the Wharf did not. The seating inside was distanced and servers seemed to follow correct safety procedures)
The food was great. The crab cakes were worth the hype and the rest of the seafood we had (Bacon wrapped Scallops and risotto) was done perfectly.
The service was good. Not quite the level of a true fine dining experience but servers were polite and professional.
Ambiance was decent. Had a nice Old town feel with exposed brick and “wharf-like” decor. It was reasonably crowded by 730pm and the mood seemed calm for a Friday night. Made for a great date for us.
Price was a little high. Entrees were in the 30 - 40 dollar range which meant our conservative dinner with drinks was about $130 after tax and tip for two. Expensive, but not outrageous for a not-quite fine dining dinner.
Food and service was great! A little pricey but it was worth it.
Stuffed Shrimp was really good
Decided to eat here for a 2nd time at the Wharf for the new year! Never a disappointment love the food, service staff and the charm of the overall charm of the restaurant. Its very romantic and fun! If you love seafood and old Town Charm then this is the place that you need to be!!!!
We went on New Years Eve so it was a prix fixe menu, but everything we had was delicious and not an outrageous price. Will definitely go back on a normal night.
NYE. Always great food & great service
3rd time back at this place and we love it. Couple of the staff there recognized us. Planning on being back before we head to Kansas
A wonderful Christmas Eve meal with outstanding service and even better food.
During the pandemic, I would think restaurants would be more conscious of food quality and service. The Wharf was disappointing in both areas. The restaurant was basically empty, but my wife’s meal was not what she requested and my food was for the most part room temperature.
My wife requested her rockfish only be broiled with lemon (no butter), but it instead came with some type of mustard sauce. I ordered crab cakes which were fairly meaty, with little filler, but were undercooked... and barely warm. We are not the type of people to complain and I don’t think it would have made a difference to be honest.
Definitely not worth the money and there are better restaurants in Old Town. Save your money and go elsewhere.
We had a late lunch on a Friday during Covid before Christmas. You have the choice of eating indoors or out. We chose indoors, because the old restaurant is so cozy on a cold winter day.
We each had a bowl of the she crab soup. I had a rockfish sandwich, which was ok. My wife had a lobster roll, which was pretty spot on—probably the best sandwich in town.
Excellent restaurant. So good we went twice in less than a week!
The ambience is great in the lower level. I don't really care for the upper level area. The staff is professional and attentive. The food is excellent.
Great food and great service! Definitely would recommend for a date night
This was a wonderful Saturday brunch, We had the Chesapeake eggs and the Eggs Benedict sd er;; as the Crab Cake Benedict. All wonderful. What was truly spectacular was the wonderful and personal service. we will be back
The food was superb. We had a lobster roll and cioppino. Delicious. Served promptly. Nice atmosphere. Genuine Old Town Alexandria.
Our server Miguel was INCREDIBLE!!!! He was very attentive and accommodating!
I loved the food and the service was excellent!!
I went with my family to celebrate my mom's Birthday, my 9 yo wanted a plate for herself and my mom was going to share with her, our super nice smart server got it right away and took my daughter's order and came the food came in two plates!! That was great!!!!
My mom received her Birthday cake with candle. It was excellent!!!
My hubby and I like to share our plate because I am a small eater. We were real impressed when our meal came out in separate plates - something so small can mean so much to others. We ordered the Seafood Platter and it was delicious!
When this Pandemic is under control we will return.
We had a wonderful experience!
We were the only ones in the restaurant, everyone followed COVID guidelines, and the food was absolutely delicious! We split a salmon salad & lobster pasta!
Highly recommend!
A mouse was running around the entire time we were there. It made me so uncomfortable.
First time at the Wharf and we found it to have a nice setting, attentive staff and good food. We were well spaced out and felt comfortable. Hade the seafood plater well cooked as requested and multiple choice of condiments. the couple near us had lobster and it looked delicious. Will try it upon our next visit. Only down side was the deserts, the assortment was a little on the slim side, we had hoped for Creme Brulee, but they no longer serve it. Would I recommend this restaurant Yes, especially for couples.
Brunch with a friend
The food was terrible, me and my spouse couldn’t even finish our food. A big waste of our time!
A wonderful place.Great food and service for a fair price. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves seafood. Great team at the Wharf.
The crab cake and she crab soup are insanely delicious.
Our server Kevin was awesome! This place never disappoints! Food and cocktails always on point!
If you go for any reason, go for the She Crab Soup. My sister and I wanted a quick get away, stayed at National Harbor and Uber-ed here for lunch. Our waiter was outstanding, the soup almost as good :) and the setting was gorgeous on our beautiful fall day. I can't wait to go back.
Great place for a nice, quiet meal in a great pat of the city. Food is always very good and ambience is excellent.
The Wharf never disappoints. Took my parents here for the first time and they thoroughly enjoyed it. My Dad is still raving over his stuffed flounder and my stepmom over the wonderful wine she had which was a move from her normal moscato. We went early to avoid any crowds so social distancing and masks were in full effect. Definitely recommend even during this times we are currently in.
Wonderful brunch experience! Staff was extremely professional. Food was awesome!
Great food and service. Always a pleasure to dine at the Wharf. Lots of great choices. Great wine list.
Wonderful evening with fantastic food!
Great seafood and great service! My wife had the pasta with lobster and I had the seafood platter. Both were extremely good!
The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and the quantities were generous. This is one of our go-to places in Old Town.
Great food. We had the paella and salmon. Both were excellent. Everything was great
Absolutely incredible service and experience. Our server Juli was extremely attentive and made our anniversary dinner a perfect experience. Food was impeccable. They even brought us out a nice little celebratory dessert. Plan to return and will definitely recommend.
