Exceptional Place. Jum, our waiter, was highly knowledgeable and always instantly there. To have this happen during Valentine's day with all the busy-ness was truly amazing!
Warm, friendly greeting on arrival . Knowledgable and friendly waiter ....not too obtrusive . Good range of dishes on the menu . I had Fillet Mignon and it was probably the best tasting and tenderest steak I have had in all my travels .
Calamari appetizer was heavily breaded, the cocktail and tartar sauce that accompanied it was very bland.
Lobster fettuccine was ok. I had the special of wild caught abalone. What a disappointment. Two slices of abalone over 1/4 inch thick so heavily seasoned and breaded that you could not taste any abalone. It was tenderize almost to the point of being mushy. I am somewhat suspicious that it was not really abalone but maybe manta wing. I mentioned this to the manager Freddie. He said to make sure to let him know when we come back that he “ will take care of us”. Interesting though he did not assure me that what I had was really abalone.
One of the better steaks I can remember eating. Great wine and atmosphere!
We used to come here years ago when we lived in Northern California and always loved it. It didn’t disappoint. Same great food and amazing service. Nothing seemed to change which we loved.
Fabulous steak house! They only have a limited amount of cuts of meat, but all prime and beautifully cooked. No choice on the side dishes, but we were very happy. Service was impeccable - we loved the hand-tossed Caesar salad. Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.
We've been to this establishment several times over the past 30+ years, so we've seen significant changes to the menu and decor. Our visit was for a special occasion and we were treated very well, although the noise level was a little over the top. Today's menu is upscale steakhouse with some fresh fish thrown in. Everything is well prepared and the presentation was very well done. The wine list is wide ranging with a few gems thrown in at a reasonable price, you just have to know what to look for. We'll come back again when we're in Monterey.
Dinner was superb! Service excellent and ambiance beautiful! The Cesar salad was amazing!!
The steak is the main reason to come here. Out of this world. The pasta dishes are ok but not quite as good.

Firstly, all of the employees couldn't have been nicer. Service was great. Biggest problem is given the high cost of dining there, the restaurant is not in the same class as Ruth Chriss, Spencer's or Mortons or many other top of the line premier steak houses. Tables are way to close to each other. There is very little ambiance and it is extremely noisy making conversation difficult.
Hands down very best service.. from the hostess when we walked in, the manager saying happy birthday with out even being told, to the server (Brandon) was fabulous. The meats there are just so delicious.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening here. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the dessert (we shared the pavlova) was fabulous! All of the waitstaff were very engaged and friendly.
This is the best resturant in the area hands down. My Cowboy steak was cooked to perfection and the service by Paul was outstanding!!
The prime rib was reportedly not quite as good as other times we’ve eaten there, but otherwise fabulous as always.
