The quality and quantity of the food was unbelievable. Great value with nice ambiance.
Excellent food and service, every time! The food was delicious and there were so many choices! We love going to brunch here!
It was sooo good!!! Food was delicious! Service great! We love this place! We will come back:)))
Sunday brunch is wonderful for special occasions, the rooms are beautiful. The brunch is bountiful, sashimi, sushi, caviar, fresh seafood, wide variety of entrees, and excellent dessert selection. New feature, "made to order" Eggs Benedict so fresh poached eggs. Pianist with good repertoire, attentive service. Only negative change, down graded the dress code. This setting is too beautiful to allow shorts, tee shirts and flip flops.
It has been a few years since my last visit for Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, the quality of food has gone down and prices have gone up. Family loved the sushi, especially the sashimi option. Lamb was good but breakfast items were limited and just ok. Drinks were strong (!!) and included in the price. It is missing the flair of quality fine dining dishes from before. It is still a beautiful location and a nice formal dining experience with excellent service. Enjoyed the experience but for the price and food, will probably not return.
Great experience to take your friends to. Service by waiter just OK. Food servers great!
The musician was great and attentive to clients' taste and the bar waiter before we were shown our table was really fun and professional...made it seem like there was not wait time.
Truly enjoyed the experience and food. The service was absolutely perfect.
We love the Westgate brunch, it is our favorite. They have an amazing selection of delicious food and impeccable service. We hosted our 50th anniversary there and our guests raved about the venue.
The Westgate Sunday Brunch is my favorite anytime I am in San Diego. The ambiance, food and service is excellent.
My only negative is that they do not have a dress code. The hotel and brunch is elegant but it is a shame that people no longer dress appropriately for a restaurant of this caliber. Business casual should be enforced. No shorts, no sweat shirts or T-shirts. I would also enforce no denim or at least denim that is not ripped or holes etc. Frankly, I was shocked at how some people were dressed or lack of dress for this restaurant.
Perhaps it was because we arrived late, but most of the food hot foods were either cold or lukewarm. Additionally, having the buffet in the general areas seems rather odd. It made it feel as if the hotel decided on quantity of people rather than quality of food and atmosphere. In all, I felt like I was attending a conference rather than having an enjoyable Sunday brunch experience.
Enjoy the brunch when downtown attending a Sunday matinee! The champagne is excellent and the food is outstanding! Of course, the service is impeccable.
Great variety and qualiry
Amazing food - such a huge variety and great quality. Many different seafood and meat selections. And don't miss the crepe station for dessert! Beautiful setting as well. Highly recommend!
awesome experience :)
Hands down, this is the best Sunday Brunch in San Diego!
Amazing! Holiday buffet had the most amazing appetizers, desserts, salads and the entrees were great also. Elegant decor added to the overall experience.
Hotel in need of facelift. Pianist was terrible. There were plenty of food choices but the quality of the food was just ok. The ambiance was nice though. Overpriced for what you get.
Third time we have gone to the Christmas Brunch. Menu hasn't changed much. Most of the main dishes were lukewarm at best and dry. We will try another location/restaurant next year.
Most of the time I've been to the brunch the food was very good. The Christmas day one was not as good as usual.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas overall a delightful experience.
Every year I take my family for a special Pre-Christmas Brunch. I choose a different venue every year. This year was Le Fountainebleu at the Westgate. By far, this has been the best we've had so far - in over 10 years. The dining room is gorgeous, our server was attentive to whatever we needed. The food was excellent and I loved the way it was served in small dishes so you could just pick up a small dish. My family enjoyed it so much and all agreed it was our favorite so far. If you're looking for a brunch with a vast menu, this is the place.
Had an exceptional Sunday Brunch ! Everything was excellent !
We went for thanksgiving brunch. Overall it was a great experience. Great service and beautifully setting. Food were not as great as we expected. But it is good.
We chose the Westgate for our Thanksgiving meal this year and were delighted that we did!
It was wonderful from start to finish from the convenience of the valet to the opulent food item choices. Everything we tasted was fresh & delicious.
There was even a chocolate fountain at one of the dessert stations!
What a wonderful experience!
Thanksgiving buffet very nice except the guy who likes in front of me at a sushi buffet ...really couldn’t eat much after that !
Consistently stellar best brunch on the west coast
Thanksgiving brunch was great
The food and selection was amazing, but it was the service that made our day so enjoyable!
Great as always
For our family Thanksgiving Brunch his was a wonderful choice. Vera, our server was attentive and the myriad choices from the buffet were mind boggling, a chocolate fountain, caviar and blini, fine seafood raw and otherwise, turkey. As well as many other preparations. Rather than the ubiquitous common spreading germs, many of the cold dishes had been prep later into miniature plates and bowls.....much more sanitary! Of course lots more dishes to be washed so thank you dishwashing team.
The rooms were elegant, flowers beautiful and the ambiance of the piano perfect in the background.
Price steep but worth it for an of so special occasion!
The food that we had was delicious, but there was so much you couldn't possibly try it all.
This was my go to place for Sunday Brunch. Not anymore. Food quality has gone south. But service and ambiance still excellent.
The Westgate Hotel has the most wonderful Sunday brunch! The food is delicious, the champagne is flowing and the service is the best! The Westgate Hotel has old fashioned charm and is a great place to relax and enjoy good food and drink.
I was very impressed with the amazing varieties of food from seafood to desserts and everything in between.
The staff was all very friendly and the champagne just kept on flowing.
Our brunch lasted almost 4 hours and we never felt rushed to finish.
After reservation mix-up we finally were moved to the nice table for 2 we had reserved. After that everything was excellent. Before that we had trouble with our server coming around and with people walking right next to us with their plates over our heads as they went to their tables. 3 previous experiences were absolutely excellent. This one was too but after...
By far the best brunch place we've ever been to! Including ones in San Francisco, New York, Florida. Amazing, good fresh food. Huge selection; great service!
the food was very good and kept clean and fresh, we will go again. we thought for the price this was great it includes an assortment of adult beverages. this is a classy place to to go, not for the discount eaters.
Loved the free flowing champagne and being able to eat many different small plates over two hours with live piano music with no hurries or worries!
Overall it was very good the sushi wasn't cold and eggs Benedict egg was not hot so just perhaps a little more freshness. Also there was no one tending the ice cream and we had to wait around until someone came over so perhaps a little more staff as the crêpe lady was stressed out.
