The West End Wine Bar & Pub
West End Wine Bar & Pub is located in historic Purcellville, VA, and features two concepts; a dining room and wine bar on the main level and a gastro pub on the lower level. Private dining and event spaces on the upper level.
We love West End! Food is unbelievable and always consistent, and the service is great. Fit for foodies and families alike!
Great meal, thoughtful service. A real gem in Purcellville!
Unique dining experience in an elegant converted mansion.
The staff were very attentive and very friendly. The food was great and there was live music also. I ordered the Bonnie and Clyde drink that was delicious. When we left we said "see u soon."
Food, ambiance, service are as close to perfect as my wife and have experienced.
Perfect place for brunch!!! Waitress was on top of it!! Food was outstanding ! Compliments to the chef! Nothing could have been improved !
Love it!!! Also enjoyed the bar downstairs .... great ambience and service ..... always enjoy anytime we come!
Wonderful. Elijah Craig - VA oysters and the Woodgrove salad. Ask for Belle. Brenda is rocking it
Had a great brunch at West End! The chef was very accommodating to my vegan guest and the food and service was fantastic! Definitely going to come back to check out the dinner menu!
Everything was wonderful - food and service. We arrived early for our reservation, but they were able to seat us right away. The red blend from Leesburg was a very nice wine. I could not finish my filet and potatoes, and the only disappointment was when I got home I discovered only the filet was in my take home box, the potatoes were not included (which would have been wonderful for breakfast). Nothing life or death, but I expected them to be included since they were part of my meal. Anyway, very nice restaurant - will definitely return.
Super!!! My birthday was perfect!
We have eaten here 3 times in the last 6 months and the food keeps getting better and better! The crab rangoon appetizer was unbelievable, as was the chicken confit. The food service and ambiance are tough to beat in Western Loudoun.
We went to the West End for their Valentine's Dinner. We arrived early, but they seated us before our reservation time anyway. Very quaint old home converted into a restaurant. We were seated upstairs and treated to a lovely 4-course meal. I am a vegetarian and was able to find something in each of the courses to eat, even though it was a pre-planned menu! The wait staff was spectacular and very attentive. We drove 90 miles for this meal and it was totally worth it!
An exceptional Valentine’s Day experience start to finish. Would definitely return for any special occasion.
That Valentine’s prefixed menu was amazing! I only wish I had enough room to finish the strawberry shortcake tiramisu. It was by far one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. My filet was perfect. The burrata spinach salad was pure heaven and the mushroom and chèvre tartine was perfect. Our server was super friendly and did an awesome job. I love the view there too. It’s such a charming restaurant which has become our favorite date night spot.
The West End Bar and Pub never disappoints. It is has the warmth of a neighborhood gem and the allure of a newly discovered gourmet delight. A young professional friendly staff, good food, generous glasses of wine, and great ambience. Treat yourself whether in the neighborhood or willing like me to go for a drive to Purcellville.
We’ve been to West End many times. This particular visit was disappointing. The server was just OK. He couldn’t explain what the special was for the evening (which he kept referring to as afternoon). He said “the chef always does something different”. In addition, all entrees were cold upon delivery to the table. Lastly, a very loud large group was seated with us upstairs which sealed the deal on this not being a great experience. I will chalk it up to an off night at West End and will return to try it again.
Food was good. It took a long time to receive my drink, which I had to ask where it was and then when I did receive it I had to send it back as it was not made correctly.
Great fresh food. Great service. Hidden local gem.
The choices for brunch were delightfully tasty! The bottomless mimosa also was well received by both of us eating....
Overall experience was great (food, service, value). Only somewhat negative is that we were seated upstairs, which is definitely not the same vibe nor nearly as nice as the main level dining area - visited the pub on the lower level after dinner - great drinks and energetic - we are looking forward to our next visit (will definitely be requesting main level dining)
The food was absolutely delicious, cute place and service was awesome
Our server, Bella, was absolutely delightful. Our only problem was that one of our dishes the grits were only lukewarm.
Very good and creative food and excellent cocktails. Thai mussels appetizer was enjoyed by everyone at the table.
Polite and welcoming staff but service was poorly coordinated among and between the wait staff and the bartender.
Great food and experience.
Fantastic meal. Highly recommend. Service was excellent. We went for New Year’s Eve and I was a bit nervous it being a holiday evening. The restaurant did not disappoint. I look forward to returning.
As usually the dinner was fantastic, the service was great and it couldn’t have been anymore better.
Great all around experience. Looking forward to going back!
Lovely interior. Tables spaced out nicely. Could easily carry on a conversation. Service was timely and pleasant. The downsides: there were no chicken entrees available on the menu other than a chicken sandwich or adding grilled chicken to a salad. The green beans and duck fries were the best part of the meal. My husband ordered the strip steak which consisted of large portions of fat and was overcooked. I ordered the sirloin which was undercooked. We just ended up swapping rather than waiting for refiring or replacing. Both steaks were oddly dry-tasting, though ... kind of sawdusty. All-in-all, we didn’t leave with a feeling that our dinners were worth the price.
Consistently excellent food and service. The mushroom risotto was a standout!
As always, the food and service, at West End, was top notch. Started with the West End salad. I recommend this salad to all. The greens, salad dressing, etc. are great. But, their deviled eggs (included with the salad) are the best. Main course was the halibut, served over kale and creamed spinach; also excellent. Topped everything off with very good coffee, and their always super chocolate sundae. This restaurant, on the western end of Purcellville is a must for all who enjoy fine dining.
Another fabulous evening on the patio at West End. With the heater, it was a perfect place to watch the fall sunset. Delicious food (burger and duck fries for me and scallops for my friend). Good wine recommendations and attentive but not intrusive service.
Great overall experience from food to service. Our third or fourth time there and we look forward to returning.
Stopped by for dinner after a beautiful day driving through wine country- wanted to have a great dinner outside- had halibut and crabcakes, bottle of wine- all were excellent-will be back soon.
We celebrated my birthday here and I couldn't have been more passed. The ambiance on the patio was beautiful with nice live music. The service and good were terrific. This is one of my new favorite restaurants.
Overall great service. The food was not up to its usual high standards this time. The roasted pepper goat cheese dip was over soaked in a tomato soup (tasted like Campbell's) that was just too much. The chicken pasta primavera was rather bland (though in all fairness, we did order it without mushrooms).
We will be back and hope it was just an off night for food prep.
We greatly enjoyed the outside with the live guitar player/singer. Alas, not too many such nights left this season.
The food is great, the service exceptional and the price is very fair. One note of caution, if you plan to sit inside, I advise you to sit away from the door leading to the patio.
Always special and enjoyable. Great food, outstanding service, cosy inside and on good days can't beat terrace. Highly recommend.
Food was excellent. I was surprised that we were offered no bread or a salad or something to accompany our meal. Restaurant is nice, main meal was great, just need some tweeking
