Pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price of the wine bottles and food. Food was outstanding, I had the fettuccine and blackened chicken and my girlfriend had the andouille sausage, shrimp, and grits. Both were excellent, I am a southern boy and very particular about my grits. These were spot on.
It was wonderful. Excellent food and drinks. Service was great as well.
Several items were buried in salt. Pointed out to waiter and he was polite enough to apologize but did nothing to rectify situation or comp the dishes.
Diverse menu with a Cajun theme
Another great experience at West End. The food is very good. But what makes it the great experience is the service and atmosphere. Last night Dominic was our server. Along with Jim, the Pub manager, they make you feel like welcome guests. We had the cheese board, tomato salad, steak and dessert. We look forward to our next time at West End.
This is a beautiful restaurant located outside of Purcellville. Good menu, wine and handcrafted cocktails. Their steak dinners are excellent. Also ordered the salmon but server accidentally selected the scallops for me instead. They apologized and although I was fine with scallops, brought me the salmon and a to-go box. Enjoyed it next day. Great service!
This was our first time at this restaurant. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Everything we had was very good. The location was nice and clean.
Second time there and the food was outstanding ! My friend and I shared a meal and they kindly split it for us. A very nice atmosphere. Great wine options
A nice surprise. We had the wings (on the sweet side) and calamari (robust crust) to start. Both solidly good. Mains were well prepared. The creamed spinach was amazing. Pleasantly renovated interior with a spacious layout.
West End is a terrific restaurant. The food is always top notch, as is the service. It has been one of our favorite restaurants since its opening. Highly recommended.
I had the seared scallop dish which was disappointing in flavor. Usually I love the West End but the service was average and the food mediocre.
Ambiance, dinner and drinks were fantastic the ownership team was very accommodating. Wait staff was very knowledgeable. We love coming here!
Loved it! Great food, good wine choices. We will be back!!
Nice hidden gem that backs to a golf course. Very good food and service here. Nice wine and beverage selections as well, highly recommend!
We have been to West End numerous times and have spent 3 anniversary dinners there. We never have had a bad meal; the service is always fantastic; and the atmosphere, ambiance and view is amazing. It’s our favorite restaurant in Loudoun.
The food was excellent as was the service. The chef is from Louisiana, and the shrimp and grits were outstanding, especially the andouille sausage. Must visit if you're near Purcelville!
Always great food and an overall great experience.
Our sever was very nice but they were out of multiple items in their food and wine menu. My steak came out very charred as well as the dish my friend ordered. They also began setting up for a large event for the next day right by us and it made it difficult to enjoy our meal. It was also a little unwelcoming and made us feel as though we were in the way.
Everything was wonderful! But especially our waitress, Olivia, was exceptional!
She was quick, efficient, and so responsive. She had inside AND outside tables, yet managed all very well!
IF I had a restaurant, I would try to swipe her away from West End!
We had a great dinner with friends. It was a first time visit for our friends and they enjoyed it very much.
We frequent WestEnd on many weekends, and especially have during the pandemic. The quality, and service are exceptional and very consistent! Love the burger and perfect fries! Pretty much everything we tried is delicious. You must try the créme bruleé...nowhere else have I had this perfectly subtle and creamy balance of flavor of honey lavender.
Another wonderful experience at West End. The food is very good, and the service and ambiance is outstanding. This time Lachlin (ph) was our waiter. He is terrific. He is poised, and professional. It was also great seeing Jim, the Pub manager. He is engaging and makes you feel truly welcome. We apologize for not knowing the hostess' name. She greets each guest warmly starting you off positively. All in all, an experience we look forward to repeating.
Overall, awful. I have been to dinner here many times and it WAS one of my favorite places. Went there for brunch today, though, and food was awful, service was very slow, house flys were buzzing all around (inside), and it was very loud in there. My son ordered the French toast and it came out so burnt that it looked like obsidian (i.e. like a shiny black rock). I am dumb-struck that any self-respecting chef would let that out of the kitchen. They tried to cover it up with some sauce, but did a sloppy of job of that too. For me, this place is black (like the French toast) listed.
Beautiful setting and amazing food
Great restaraunt - easy to find location, great ambiance, can be dressy or casual, fantastic food and drinks. The hostess greeted us warmly when we came in, our server was efficient and attentive. Loved our experience - will definitely return!
I am sorry to have to report that the crab cakes were awful. I could not even taste any crab and too much filler. There was no lump crab meat like it use to be served. The crab cakes use to be a favorite, but not anymore.
So glad to have spent our anniversary at West End Wine Bar. Food was fresh and delicious. The service was exemplary and unrushed. If you're looking for quality farm to table food in a charming setting, look no further!
Overall the experience at West End Wine Bar was good. The service was good and the food was tasty.
The food was excellent as was the service. I was surprised by the excellent choices in draught beers and the wine selections were good as well. The staff is polite, professional and prompt.
Went on a Sunday early evening, so noise level was very low, which we loved. Don't know about different that would be with a full house.
Lovely hidden gem in Purcellville, VA. Cute old renovated home, great wine selection and really delicious food.
Food and service excellent.
Enjoyed a nice drive out to West End Wine Bar. They have a beautiful dining room and nice patio out back to sit on a nice evening. The wine selection was great and food was very good. We had the scallops and pork chop both of which were prepared perfectly. Will be back for more!
Had a nice table by window overlooking the green. Salad and chicken pasta was good. However my crabcakes were a big disappointment- almost entirely filler with only specks of crab meat.
Tonight we dined at Clyde’s Willow Creek. I was looking forward to their crabcakes which have large chunks of lump crab meat — however their menu said they have regretfully taken crabcakes off the menu due to rising prices and scarcity and will put them back on menu when sustainability measures are successfully implemented.
I would rather that all restaurants remove crab cakes from menus or else warn diners that they will be getting seasoned fillers instead.
Food was not up to West end’s standards. The mushroom tartlet had very little flavor and there was too much dough. Crab cakes were OK and fries were not what they have been in the past. Fried green tomatoes were very good as was the ptarmigan risotto. Service was slow but friendly.
Great. Food was delicious and service was great.
Went with another couple for dinner; service staff were very friendly and knowledgable; the appetizers and entrees were lackluster at best and over priced; the appetizer special that night was duck wings--so tough that we couldn't eat them; the mushroom risotto was undercooked and the big mushrooms underneath were so tough. One of the diners had a steak that was great.
So overall not a good food experience and expensive for the poor quality.
Not cheap, but great place for date night. They offer local wines, good food selection.
sat outside under nice big tent. heavy iron chairs were very noisy on stone patio. need some kind of hard rubber feet on every chair to minimize noise with minimal friction.
dogs are allowed. 2 dogs at neighbor table were barking and disruptive.
Another joyful experience at West End for great food and fine service (by Dominic our server). We look forward to returning in the near future.
