   Ordered the cheese board appetizer; the cheese was delicious, but it was served with only 4 small pieces of bread. Why they are skimpy with bread I don't know, last time we had the same problem. When we got the appetizer this time I immediately asked for more bread and it took about 20 min (at least) but they finally brought it and we had just enough bread (no extra) to pair with the amount of cheese served (two people). So the right amount is twice as much bread as they serve. Many places routinely serve bread before or with a meal, not sure why they are miserly with it. Food was good. Salads are always excellent nice and fresh.

   This was a repeat visit. There were 4 of us, 3 of whom had the Scallops with risotto, and 2 had the trout. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. Our waiter was superb. We had a very leisurely evening chatting and did not feel rushed at all. It was a very enjoyable experience as always!

   Tool my BF for his bday dinner on a Tuesday. We enjoyed everything about this place. Great service, delicious food, charming feel in the dining area where we sat. Wine list offered many international labels we were familiar w/from our travels. We’ll def go back!

    We were visiting Loudon County for a wedding and our Innkeeper recommended this restaurant. Wish we lived there because it is an amazing restaurant. Everything was perfect and delicious. My husband had the halibut special and I had the shrimp and grits. Excellent! Lovely atmosphere and highly professional staff.

    We have been there several times with children and just adults. They have made us comfortable and feel like we were welcome company that came to visit. Food was great service couldn't have been better. One of the times we had a child with a lot of special food allergies and they prepared special dishes for him that we were all envious of.

    Passing through northern Virginia for a horse clinic. After a hard day riding an amazing meal with friends was the perfect way to end the day. I will need to find a reason to come back to the area, to dine at west end.

    This was our second time dining here. Both times the staff has been very friendly, helpful, and professional. The atmosphere is very relaxed and a place where you want to spend about two hours for dinner. The buildings exterior and interior are nice and have a homey feel. The food has been excellent both times. This trip we tried the crab beignets, lobster bisque as appetizers, and the tenderloin and chicken as entrees. All were delish. We also did the cheesecake dessert, which was amazing! If you're looking for a great dinner in a cozy spot, I would highly recommend.

    Overall it was a very nice restaurant, with a nice atmosphere. The food was outstanding. I order the braise short rib with collard greens, and the collard greens was the best color greens I have had.

    Amazing food and service. This was our first time and we both ordered the specials: prime rib and the chicken and waffles! They were amazing. We also had some appetizers and desserts which were also incredible. Great taste, great portions, and best of all great service. Ally was our waitress and she was personable, attentive, and helpful!     We truly enjoy Sunday brunch here so much. The food is amazing. They have had a chicken and waffles with pecan butter special which is so flavorful!! Plus the service here is always above and beyond! Ally is our favorite and she always makes us feel like family. One of our favorite places!

    Had the lobster bisque which was definitely not made in house, probably more than like from a can/jar and it was not hot just above room temperature. We were thinking that we all ordered something different but yet all three entrees came with French fries especially biscuits & gravy.

    Last night was the worst dinner experience ever!!!! We arrived for our 8:30pm reservation and was told that our table was not ready yet and we would have to wait a few minutes, which was understandable as it was New Year's Eve. Two couples ahead of us were sat and then a couple that came in behind us was sat. Yes, you read that correctly a couple that came in behind us was sat before us. We were then asked if we would mind sitting upstairs. Having never been to the West End before we agreed. Wrong decision on our part as we were sat next to a very loud table and the only others upstairs besides the loud group. My husband and I could not carry on a conversation without shouting at each other until the table finally left. Our waitress finally came and told us about the specials for the evening. My husband and I each ordered a cocktail at this point. It took 20 minutes to get our cocktails. We then placed an appetizer order of mussels and tried placing our entrée order. I say tried as they were out of half the menu - no special, no scallops, no short ribs, no veggie lasagna, no chocolate dessert and one other dessert. We should have gotten up and left at this point but were to go on New Year's Eve at 9:30-10:00 and still be able to get a table, thus we placed an order. I order the tri-tip and replaced the asparagus with the Brussel sprouts. My husband got the trout. After ordering, once again the waitress comes back and tells us they are out of the whipped potatoes that come with the tri-tip so I had to substitute them for something else. I got the potato hash. Dinner finally arrives and must say the best thing was the Brussel sprouts. The tri-tip was chewy and had little flavor. My husband liked the trout ok. After our entries we decide to order dessert. The waitress told us that they have cheesecake and ice cream, so we ordered the cheesecake. And would you believe after ordering the cheesecake the waitress comes back again and tells us they are out. Check please!

    I previously gave good review to this place, however the new year eve dinner was very disappointing: slow service, bad tasting cocktail (long island iced tea), error on the order which was corrected but of course arrived 20 minutes after the dish of my wife,meat cooked rare while medium was requested and coffee not warm. Big difference from last year new year eve dinner which was perfect

    The West End Wine Bar & Pub is always a winner. From Tom who greets us and Dominic who serves us, we cannot expect more. The food is prepared to perfection. We drive over a half hour to go there and look forward to each time there.

    Excellent service, the food is simply outstanding! We had the PEI Mussels for appetizer, simply delicious. Main course we had Beef Tenderloin and Trout. Last not least, the desert was very delectable, crème brulee and the Raspberry Cheescake (not in actual cheesecake form...) and a nice scope of ice cream to accompany...We highly recommend West End Wine Bar & Pub!!!

    Had Sunday brunch for my son’s birthday- he & his girlfriend were down from Philly where they have awesome restaurants. We all loved our food & drinks. My son & I love eggs Benedict - this was the BEST we’ve ever had!! They use a tasty biscuit instead of English muffin - so good!! We all had specialty drinks & the bartender was great.
