One of our favorite restaurants on the Oregon Coast. Been going here for years. Very nice remodel since we were last there. Service and food was excellent, as always. Thanks for making our birthday celebrations special!

Our waiter was fantastic. Did not lead us astray on anything. The oysters on the half-shell were local and so good. The cheesecake dessert was the best cheesecake I have ever had. The recommend salmon cooked perfectly.

Amazing food great views!

Good meal, a little on the pricey side.

The view of the ocean and beach as well as the food was amazing. We had the halibut, crab cocktail, chocolate cake and cobbler. All of these items were delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was great too.

The hostess secured us a premium view booth straight in front of Haystack Rock on Cannon Beach. The view was amazing. However, the food was really not that fantastic. The meal started with really great bread at the table, and the side salads were decent. All three of us ordered salmon, and they were not very good cuts of fish and were overcooked. Additionally, we asked for a simple grill on two of them and they came covered in a tarter sauce.

Great service and great food. Hard to beat dining with a view of the Haystack rock outside. Our waitress was really nice and helpful, and the overall service really good as well.

Our dinner was good. We had the filet with veggies and the salmon with risotto. For dessert we had the cinnamon cheesecake, vanilla creme brûlée and marionberry cobbler. Everything was great. We did not like the cabbage or sweet potatoes as a side dish. We wish they offered something like asparagus, mash potatoes and Mac n cheese. Those are always a good favorite of ours at various restaurants. Server was fantastic. The location is beautiful as well as the ambience.

By far the best place to eat in the area! Cast iron chicken will make all other food disappoint you! Clam chowder was amazing as well. We had an oceanfront table which was spectacular. 2 people, 1 soda, 2 bowls of chowder and 2 cast iron skillets came to $85 ish, plus tip we spent $100 even. It was absolutely worth it!!! Our server Trinh was a gem!

Overall was a great experience. Got very noise a couple times. Our waiter did forgot to bring out our bread until the end and we waited a good 30 mins for our waiter to come to our table at the end and offer a dessert menu but was very quick unfortunately to give us our check before we even finishes our dessert made us feel rushed. The food was AMAZING.

Amazing. Great food, great view, great staff.

We had reservations at 715pm. We we're seated about that time and brought waters, not by our waitress. Ten min go by and another couple and family were seated in our area. After about five min the waiter comes by both their tables and takes their drink orders. As we still sit there looking around waiting. It's now almost 745 and still no sign of a waiter. We decided to give it another 5 min as they were busy. 750 and we were done, being busy is no excuse for the poor service our family received. We always made it a point to come to the Wayfarer when in Cannon at least 2 to 3 times a year. I am so disappointed and wont be recommending this place to others.

this was a stop on the way to Manzanita beach chosen from a restaurant review site. We made reservations about 2 hours before arriving, then arrived almost an hour early. While making the reservation and being greeted when we walked in we were treated professionally by a well trained staff. We waited in the pleasant bar for our table. They apologized that they could not set us when we came in, even though it was clearly our fault we were early. Our waitress was professional and attentive. The food, razor clams were excellent and the clam chowder some of the best on the coast I have had ( and as a life long Oregonian I've had ALOT). My husband really enjoyed the wedge salad. There was a family with children behind us and with the high backed seating we hardly noticed them.

My husband and I enjoying our yearly visits to Cannon Beach, this was the first time that we had dinner at the Wayfarer but it won’t be our last. My husband had a cup of clam chowder the Hazelnut Crusted Halibut and whiskey neat and I had a salad with the filet mignon and a gimlet. Everything was amazing, our server was great and we got a table with a view of Haystack. I would recommend checking out when sunset is for the bright and booking your table a little earlier so you can enjoy your dinner with a view.

The food was terrific. I had the halibut and others had the salmon. both were very good. Ambiance was very good as well, I'll be back.

Tomahawk Steak was amazing as was the crab cocktail.

We were there on a Friday night for the Wife's birthday. The waiter(Jeremy I think) was very attentive and did extras that we asked for with a smile. We felt that we were more than a filled seat. We had a great dinner(razor clams and Dungeness crab)and never felt hurried. Beautiful view of Haystack Rock at sunset.

Engagement was made special.

This place is a gem! We went there to celebrate an anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. They are one of the few places I can find with beer cheese soup. Their special was a whole Dungeness crab, and it was HUGE! I was so crab drunk when we left there. I will definitely be back to this restaurant!

Good food at a fair price. While not gourmet, the flavors and quality are good and understanding the restaurant provides a good view of the beach, the price is worth it.

The price is a little too high. Food is good, but not as good as the cost suggests.

A pleasant and unexpected surprise dining experience in Cannon Beach. A nice variety of entree options. Very personable and informed server. We will definitely dine here on our next visit.

Great food for a Valentine Dinner. Service was very good.

Yummy dining experience with a great server. We had dinner one night and room service twice as guests at the Surfsand Hotel. It was all delicious! Interesting and well-prepared menu items. The only thing that was not perfect was the coffee. They need to invest in grinding-brewing equipment and higher quality beans.

We love the Wayfarer. It’s one of our usual places. The filet, though spendy, is pretty much the best we have had anywhere. The location is perfect for a beach scene. The staff is wonderful.

I have had dinner at this restaurant several times over the years and it was always good. This time it was absolutely exceptional!! One of the very best dinners I've ever had in my life! I'm anxious to go back again.

Nice pub, friendly staff, good happy hour prices and selections. There are a couple TV's with sports on them, but the volume is turned down. Not a loud place, casual and relaxed. Good bar service.

Outstanding seafood selection and great wine menu albeit a bit expensive for typical Oregon coast fare. But if the occasion is special and special dishes are appropriate, this is the place. Romantic dinner, date night, or special occasion is best.

Service was exceptional. I only gave a 4 star for food as my pork chop was under cooked so I was only able to eat about half. However, the Chef completely comp'ed my meal which was unnecessary, but appreciated. Other than that hiccup (which they made right), the food was exceptional. We will certainly be back.

We had a very nice time and a very nice meal here. We were surprised when our waitress for the evening disappeared and servers stopped coming by, but other than that it was a wonderful evening.
