   I made this reservation many months ago. I asked that we we sit by the window because it was our 39th anniversary. They did not give us a window seat. That was very disappointing!

   Food, drinks, and service were great, as usual. Great ambience, too. But wow, the prices. In the past it was a little more than we would typically spend but justified by the occasion. However, after paying $38 for fish and chips and getting three pieces (maybe 6 ounces) of halibut, the Wayfarer is officially out of our price range regardless of the occasion. I get that operating costs are higher, including payroll costs, and they have to do what they have to do—it’s just a bummer as it was our go to for a long time when in the area.

   My friend and I went to the Wayfarer for the first time to celebrate his birthday. They provided a great table, with view of Haystack Rock, and had nice birthday plates. The decor is rustic and 70s style. Our server, Angie, was excellent, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Cocktails were very good. The food was fine, but not exciting, and a bit pricey. Entrees are from $35 to $55. I would recommend but don't expect the fine dining experience of a city. You're in Cannon Beach, after all!

   I had the filet and it was excellent. My wife had the Halibut and she really enjoyed it. Good view of Haystack Rock from our table. The sun was a bit bright at the start of the meal. Pricey, but everything is these days.

    The young Man who was his host Sunday night is amazing. He was so welcoming, he went above and beyond to help us. Making sure we will have a wonderful night.     The team was AMAZING! We were celebrating our anniversary and set the table in the best way. More than one of their team members wished us a Happy Anniversary. Food was amazing, service was spectacular and we got to sit at the best seat in the house with the most gorgeous view of Haystack Rock!

    Great food and our server was pretty good too. The noise level in this place always surprises me and I’ve been coming here for 20+ years. They have a hard time cooking a steak at medium - which is something we run into almost every time we order one from here. Their ‘clam bake’ was excellent though, as is their Cesar salad. Pricy of course - because you’re in a popular coastal town, but we visit here often and enjoy coming here each trip.

    Fantastic meals and appetizers! Most tables have a view of Haystack Rock and the water which adds to the experience. Be prepared to spend lots of $$$ Will definitely return!

    What a beautiful view. The food was fantastic, and the front host was very nice. however after we were seated we were forgotten. quite some time passed before someone finally asked if we had been taken care of. The server was polite however we were not checked in on and i was out of water. He said he was going to get some then nerver came back. its was as if there was no server assigned to our table and he just took it on but was over loaded.

    We visited for my husband’s birthday, which I wrote in the reservation. I also requested to sit near the window if possible because of the amazing view of Haystack Rock. A window table was waiting for us and our server knew we had a birthday. The food was amazing - steamers, crab bake, whole crab and the chocolate stack for dessert were all delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was fabulous and even though this is high end dining, the ambiance is casual and homey. Loved it!

    First of all they didn’t hold our reservation and we had to sit in the lounge bc a large party showed up, we were 5 mins early for our reservation. Waitress and food were amazing. We made reservations again on their website for 2 nights later and when we showed up they said they were closed and turned away, very disappointed. Website let us make reservations for 30 mins after their last seating. We are now starving.

    Huge thanks to the Hostess who showed flexibility and kindness, seating us at a window booth. Our waitress was a delight. My Halibut with mushroom duxelle was absolutely delicious and artfully presented. The Haystack Heaven dessert was shared and if you like chocolate, order this!

    This is a restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere and good classic food options. The waiter took a while to get to us but his service was friendly and efficient after the initial wait. One negative is that the restaurant is advertised as having great views of the ocean - and they are more "peekaboo" than great.

    Great time! I had the crab special, and my only request would have been that their hold all the sides until you’re done cracking. By the time I was done cracking my crab all of my food was cold and the butter had become hard again.

    We have eaten at The Wayfarer for a number of years. We have watched it go through many paint jobs, menu changes, new staff, etc. We know most of the servers and have eaten almost every entree on the menu. It has been one of our favorite places to eat in Cannon Beach. We recently had dinner there. Service was not the same, the food was terrible, and the prices were high. We spoke to the manager and talked with our server regarding our meals. They admitted that things have changed with the new ownership and that the quality was not the same as in the past. We will not go to The Wayfarer again for a long time! Possibly the new ownership can get its act together and live up to the reputation that the restaurant has had for the last 50 years! Disgusted and sad.

    One of our favorite restaurants in Cannon Beach. But we had 3 different waiters over the course of our dinner. It was great food and nice waiters but we’re used to dealing with one person. There was a party of 20 at some tables so that could have been the difference. It was really busy so mostly understand. Please go there! It’s worth it. We’ve gone there for years.
