The Wave Kitchen & Bar
The Wave Kitchen & Bar, offers an ocean-front dining space with amazing views of the Atlantic. The restaurant offers a menu directly sourced from local farmers, fishermen and artisanal purveyors. The Wave concept was designed to offer a dining experience similar to what one would encounter at a hospitable and cozy dinner party at a friend’s home with generous attention to detail. The open kitchen and customizable selections aim to engage guests. The Wave will also feature select Cuban specialties developed by Costa’s owners, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, from their Estefan Kitchen cookbook.
Wonderful time, great service and the food was amazing .. wonderful early bird special s. Will be back in the near future !!!
The service was great as was the food! Impressive especially since it was in the middle of a “tropical storm “!
We visit the bars at pool and inside frequently. This was my first Wave visit in a few years ... pool area was packed and there were several distanced folks at the bar. We were seated promptly at a table with a great view of the pool deck. Service was spot on and food was excellent per all 4 of us.
We ordered the paella — all four of us — and it was excellent.
Great food and staff. Highly recommend this place.
The food was amazing.
My server was great, Happy and fun to talk to, she explained everything thoroughly. Location looked perfect.
We were on vacation. The meal was excellent. Large tasty portions of Cuban food and seafood and steak entrees. More value than anticipated at this type of restaurant.
Tables were well spaced. All servers wore masks. Food was excellent. Felt very safe and good experience.
More like a bar or nightclub. No view of ocean - only pool!!
Food is consistently excellent. Restaurant taking the COVID-19 seriously. Nice ambiance and outstanding service. If you're fortunate enough to have David as your server, the night will be even better!
Had a great girls night dinner on our trip. Service was excellent, quick to bring our food and attentive. Good selection of food for our group that had some who liked seafood, and some who wanted other options. Desserts were amazing as well. Portion size was good for sharing with some apps. Would recommend while on a trip!
waited more than an hour before our appetizer arrived. Our server was catering to ma large group and forgot about us all night. i had to get up and ask the hostess to get our check since our server only seemed to care about his big table. We wasted 3 hours of prime-time Friday night. I will never eat dinner here again.
Ambience very nice - Miami style with good use of lights and music. Food was below average. Red Snapper maybe just wasn’t fresh. Shrimp and Calamari appetizer was good.
Food was delicious and our server was super friendly and very prompt. We were able to sit quickly, restaurant was very clean and a fun atmosphere.
We had dinner there and David was our server. I started with a mojito which was very good. Ordered the avocado salad which is like guacamole it was delicious you could split with someone. Next I ordered the salmon which was fresh and tasty the veggies were swimming in butter.. My daughter ordered the paella was fresh and delicious, she said it could use more seafood. Also she asked for a black cloth napkin(black pants) only had white napkins. Service was excellent and would return.
First outing during the pandemic. All associates wearing masks and diners set far apart. Love the paella! A good experience.
This is a wonderful spot for a romantic night out, or a night with the girls. At first I thought the piped in music was a bit loud on a Sunday night, but I ended up really enjoying it. We love Cuban food and theirs is outstanding. Great service, and we didn’t feel too exposed during this pandemic. Our first night out to a restaurant since the lockdown. Great people watching too!
Dinner was yummy and David took fantastic care of us .Thank you for a lovely evening.
My wife and I have dined at The Wave several times. We met two friends there for drinks and dinner as as always, the service and food was very good. The noise level is really loud though, making conversation very difficult.
The four os us had a great lunch!
The food and service were incredible. The staff are always friendly and attentive. We have tried several different entrees and the food is always good with an excellent presentation.
Everything was nice with the exception of way way way to noisy for this type of dining!!!
lovely, came for paella night and it was amazing!
We went for the early bird special with a bunch of our neighbors for the first time couple months ago. We enjoyed the meal so much that we took my boyfriends family there this past week. They have 3 choices on the menu which also comes with salad or soup. The salmon and the steak are both delicious and I would recommend them to anyone. The early birds have to be ordered before 6pm but they take reservations for this Sunday through Thursday so there shouldn't be an issue.
I have already made reservations to take my sister and brother in law there when they come to visit at the end of the month.
Mite want to warn diners to order meat much rarer than usual on steak nite. Food continues to cook on super hot stones to next level of doneness!
The food was great (I had Mahi-mahi) and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the veggies that went with it. The food could have been hotter (perhaps on a heated plate). The service was wonderful. It was somewhat noisy (due to several loud patrons). They were obviously enjoying themselves.
Was a very enjoyable evening. Food and service were both great. Nice to have a different and unique dining experience with a “Cuban flair”.
Excellent octopus and soup, lobster & butternut squash, roast pork w rice and beans excellent
Great birthday dinner for my sister’s 70th !
The service was exceptional and we were treated like special guests. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. We
will definitely make this a favorite restaurant for family celebrations!
Attentive service, outstanding seafood and vegetables, best ceviche I've had in years. Cocktails were exotic and well balanced. The short ribs were off the chain.
We went to The Wave for the second time on Valentines, hoping that something would be improved concerning the noise level. Unfortunately, in spite of many complaints about the bad acoustics in the dining room, it was worse than before. The service for the set menu was rushed and at one point, I had three wine glasses lined up in front of me from the wine pairings. It is too bad, the food is excellent and the location is beautiful. Please do something about the noise level so that a couple can hear each other.
Enjoyed the valentine day fixed price menu with wine pairing. Everything was perfect, including the live music during dinner. Thank you for a memorable evening!
Had reservations for Valentine's Day. To our surprise, there was a special menu in play with out choices to select from. Simply, this is what you are eating tonight? Since my wife is allergic to duck and there were no substitutions allowed, we opted to go to the outside bar. While I made the reservation through OpenTable, I did have contact with the restaurant 2x during the week leading up to the reservation. Not once did anyone mention the menu being served? So that, was disappointing! We did go to the outside pool bar (my wife's a saint) and tried to resurrect the evening. While the staff made us feel at home, the food was lackluster and even the house Latin specialties were bland and mainstream in flavors. Needless to say, we were bummed!
Valentines Dinner was a very nice 5 course meal for $85. Oyster appetizer, salad, scallop course, filet course and a chocolate strawberry mouse cake.
We are year round residents here and think of Costa d'Este and its restaurant as a local gem.
Our most recent experience was having guests from away at lunch on the pool patio. The
server (male) was absolutely excellent; could not have been any better. Thank you.
The restaurant had great reviews. It disappointed. The food - particularly the Cuban inspired food - was excellent. The black bean soup was outstanding. However, the overall experience was very disappointing. We were greeted by a very sullen young lady who clearly did not want to be there. We had reservations and despite the fact that there were several empty tables (the restaurant was about half full) it took over 20 minutes for her to seat us. They put us right in the middle of many other tables where the noise level was deafening. We had to shout to be heard. Then it took another 15 minutes before anyone came to serve our table. A single drink order took over 10 minutes to be filled, and then it was another 10 minutes before anyone took our dinner order. We asked 3 people for the wi-fi password before anyone provided information. Despite the great food, which was the only redeeming factor, we would not go back. Very disappointing.
Excellent food ... attentive service.
The dining room was a bit noisy fir conversation .. we were a table of only four. A bit of noise mitigation would make this restaurant really soectacular
Chose from early bird menu. Salad and black bean soup were just okay. Salmon and accompanying sautéed spinach were delicious in the sauce. Potatoes were diminished by the sauce. Dulce de Leche ice cream nothing special. Rice pudding brûlée was an unpleasant scoop of chilled gelatinous rice pudding with a sugar crust. Serving it at room temperature and with some cream to pour on top would have improved it significantly. Our server was distracted and inattentive. Rang up the bill incorrectly. 2 people with soft drinks & early bird meal/dessert was $57 before taxes and tip. Pricy. The noise and underwhelming service plus the expense mean I likely won’t be back for dinner. Might try again for lunch.
