Food was excellent (we shared the Paella). Noise level was off the charts - well above 100 db.
We enjoyed Paella night, a Thursday evening. The calamari appetizer was delicious and enough for two people to share. The seafood Paella was excellent. Our server was friendly and professional. The resturant is small and dark and not much on ambiance. Casual dress is acceptable. A good choice for seafood and fish as well as Cuban food.
The Wave is one of our "special" restaurants, and is often the one we chose when we are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. I do wish there was a better view (pool) and was quieter, but the food and service are always above average. One thing I do wish the Wave would do is acknowledge special occasions. Though I always state that there is a birthday/anniversary when booking thru Open Table, there has never been a single word mentioned while we are at the Wave.
They brought out a beautiful “Happy Birthday “ dessert tray for my mother. It was a fantastic meal and that was a special touch
The filet was fabulous. So tender..
Indoor dining is moderately noisy, but tables are not so close together that it is a problem.
The Wave Kitchen and Bar was excellent! The view of the pool and beyond to the ocean was gorgeous. The presentation of the food was beautiful and artfully crafted. The food delicious!
My wife and I went for our anniversary and had a really nice experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes to treat themselves to a unique dining experience and excellent food.
Excellent service and all 4 meals were perfect!!
The Wave has a lively ambiance and cool vibe. Food and service was very good and served in elegant surroundings. We enjoyed our meal, albeit a little pricey, but definitely worth a visit when you're in Vero Beach.
We went for their early bird dinner. The three course dinner was wonderful. When we arrived at 5:30 the room was not noisy but by the time we left it was quite noisy. The wine they serve by the glass is exceptional. We plan to return to order off the dinner menu.
The entire experience was excellent. The chef special, snapper, was award winning. Our server, Mayara, was perfectly attentive. We enjoyed the open kitchen atmosphere. Will most definitely visit again.
We had a delicious dinner. Love their paella and avocado salad. Good Service.
THE CALAMARI WAS HORRIBLE. DEEP FRIED AND MUSHY SND NO CALAMARI IN IT EXCEPT SOME TENACLES. THE LOBSTER PAELLA WAS A joke. For $40 you get a tiny dried out piece of lobster and a small Bowl of rice with small dried clams and little else. For a Spanish menu restaurant upscale they should rethink who is cooking this food.
Plantain chips were outstanding, best I’ve ever. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and made good suggestions.
We will return
Really cute “Happy Birthday “ desserts!
Honeymoon stay in Vero Beach
Excellent food, generous portions, awesome setting and outstanding service
Excellent Paella...so flavorful and was done to perfection. Our waitress was great also!
The fish sandwich was delicious!!! The pompano was so fresh and tasty!!! Love The Wave!!
The food was excellent as usual however our waitress must have been over booked or soemthing because we saw her one time only prior to food arriving. The food took a little longer than usual( although it was excellent as usual) and it would have been nice for her to stop by and and just let us know the kitchen was taking a little longer or just to even check on us. Then she asked if we would like a second glass of wine , I said no my husband said yes for him but she left so quickly so didnt hear us properly and brough two glasses of wine , which we did not take as we did not order it. She became more attentive as we finished our meal but at that point it is really useless .
They can’t get their act together !! The food is never Hot !! We also waited an hour between courses !!
The waitress was very attentive. We would've liked the opportunity to eat outdoors but we weren't asked. 3 of 5 meals were The Cuban sandwich. I've not had 1 that was not hot before. Ours were all cool, not appetizing.
This restaurant in the Conde D’Este resort, and we have been eating here for a week. The Wave has great food which we can also get as room service. Pan roasted grouper is delicious. Wait staff are very good, helpful and really nice on top of it. Bar tender is a bit overworked but makes nice drinks. There is a nice outdoor dining area which it wasn’t warm enough for us but is lovely, by the pool.
Very active bustling place. A bit noisy. Pool and bar right outside restaurant. Avocado salad was exceptional.
We picked The Wave to go to when we didn't know any restaurants in Vero Beach. We wanted somewhere on the ocean. We should have paid attention to the fact that this restaurant is their all-day restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, meaning it would pretty much be your standard hotel dining room. I will give them kudos for their food though as 3 out of 4 of us were very happy. My friend and I had the fish tacos, something I don't normally order, and they were excellent. My husband had the skirt steak, which he said had a really good taste. Unfortunately, I can't remember what our one unsatisfied guest had. We also had dessert. The pumpkin cheesecake was about 2 bites but my scoop of mango sorbet was huge and very smooth and creamy. There were only 2 other tables occupied and sadly, one of those was a table of women celebrating a birthday and they were very loud. The acoustics in the restaurant do not make for close conversation. I can't say I wouldn't go back, as my food was excellent, just be prepared that the ambience was nothing special and it was very loud.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, but after getting seated we had to wait for over 15 minutes for our drinks.
Once our Mojitos arrived we did not think there was any rum...it was very “weak” and tasteless!
Although our server Theresa was very good number of menu items were not available even though we arrived before 7 pm i. e. appetizer, entrees and Pecan Bourbon Pie.
Overall, not a very good experience. The hotel & restaurant has a good vibe, but the service and kitchen execution was poor and we would not return.
Great food, Amal our waitress was amazing, tried to make a reservation for next night and was told it was full. However when I returned to the hotel from another restaurant it was not even 1/3 full. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially for a hotel guest.
The food is consistently good and the service is superb! Beautiful environment as well. My only criticism is the noise level is very high - some sound proofing ceiling tiles would be helpful since there are all hard surfaces and the sound is amplified.
I always enjoy an evening at The Wave Kitchen and Bar! Food is always terrific, attentive service, and the restaurant team led by William and Megan are always terrific! This is why I return again and again!
We love The Wave! Always a great meal with a beautiful view! We had great service today and the salmon was delicious! My brother had the Cuban steak and beans and loved his meal! My husband loves the burgers are great and my mom enjoyed her shrimp wrap! Today we shared the churros and they were delicious with Carmel and chocolate sauce and rum! YUM!
We ordered off of the Cuban Kitchen menu which was absolutely delicious. Flank steak cooked perfectly. Ham and Swiss croquettes and calamari for appetizers! Service fantastic!
We typically have very good experiences at The Wave. This visit the hostess attempted to seat us in front of a glass door (we had requested a view if possible). There was another two seating table with a view so we requested it instead and were seated there. I ordered the red snapper fresh catch of the day. It was outstanding. The seasonal vegetables and Lyonnaise potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. My husband ordered the Paella. He said it was delicious but spoiled by gritty clams. Our server was attentive and friendly. As far as ambiance and noise, we found it extremely loud. So much so that we could not have a conversation, opted out of coffee and dessert and hastened our departure.
Food was good but it was much too noisey. Couldn't even have a conversation.
I took my girl for valentine's it was perfect we love it can't wait to go again !!!!!
The food was excellent all the courses
The was the second visit in 2 weeks. We went both times for the early bird dinner. The service was better the second time. We ordered the same thing. The steak dish from the early bird menu. Both times it was delicious. The vegetables were flavorful and prepared perfectly. We tried both the black bean soup and salad. I preferred the salad but the soup was very good. You need to really like black beans as that is the only flavor in the soup. The other people in our group each had the Mahi and the chicken. They said they were tasty but the steak looked far better and a much larger portion. For dessert we had the sorbets and one person had the rice pudding. It is served cold. This was unappealing to me but the lemon sorbet was excellent. We celebrated our anniversary on our first visit and were served a complimentary dessert. It was a scoop of the ice cream and a flourless chocolate cake. Excellent and very pretty. A nice surprise. The ambiance is lovely and a pretty view of the pool. We also had appetizers out by the pool. The ceviche was excellent and I enjoyed the homemade salsa. I would return again.
Sad that it is SO LOUD. My husband could not carry on a conversation because he could not hear anyone speak!
Great experience all around
So loud in the dining room we couldn’t hear each other speak so had to move to the bar which was better.
All concrete room and glass so sounds bounce off the walls and floors to a tremendous level. Even the wait staff acknowledged the echo effect in the room and didn’t blame us for asking to move to a quieter spot. Until they add rugs, drapes or sound deadening material to the ceiling I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Service at the bar was great and so was the food but please do something w the dining room!!
Place is amazing BUT VERY LOUD
