The Estefan Kitchen

Served with White Rice, Black Beans and Sweet Plantains. In 1992, we had the opportunity to open our first restaurant, Larios on the Beach, on historic Ocean Drive, in Miami Beach. We did so in honor of my grandmother, Consuelo Garcia, who had made a wonderful career in food when she emigrated from Cuba to Miami, FL, in 1962. We also wanted to further promote our culture and heritage through our food as we had done with our music throughout the world. This is a very pleasant restaurant. The menu goes into detail about what's in each dish, provides alerts for people with celiac, bacon, etc concerns. Food is tasty, well spiced, service is attentive and aware. The restaurant, pool area, rest rooms, entry way, etc are spotless. Has always been clean, with folks attending constantly. Ropa vieja was flavorful, not too spicy, very fragrant.

We are Cuban and really enjoyed to Cuban items offered. The acoustics in the restaurant weren’t very good, so it was a little loud. This probably wouldn’t be a problem for most people. Overall though, it was a good experience, and we would highly recommend.

Paella and scallops were decent weight staff was completely not engaged and never even acknowledge our presence, we were never waited o. until we asked one of the lovely young women that was clearing plates, and filling glasses with water if she could direct a waiter. Our way, the waiter never came. She kindly took our orders, service was beyond pathetic And nonexistent however, the young woman was tremendously helpful

Great food, menu now offers more traditional Cuban and its well executed. Portions are large. Only downside is the noise level is off the charts… you can’t hear the person sitting across from you and this is without the music/entertainment. Room needs some sound proofing.

Our appetizers came out before our drinks arrived. We had to ask the manager and waiter for our drinks. When we arrived our table wasn’t ready and we were unprofessionally ask to stand out of the way. The food was terrific as were our drinks and wine. It was extremely loud in the restaurant

Food was variable. Cuban chicken excellent; Vegetarian paella good; and Cuban pork was poor. Drinks/wine were good. Server was great but he seemed to be the only one working the whole restaurant. To call the noise level "energetic" does a disservice to patrons who would like to have a conversation. The restaurant has the ambience of a cafeteria: brightly lit, tables packed close together, ambient music is awful and too loud, and the room has all hard surfaces. The restaurant is not lively and fun; it is simply noisy.

Wonderful 2022 NYE lunch our server was Jackie. She was handing all of the dinning room but still took time out to make us feel special. She brought out the chiller for our bottle of wine and had our orders timed perfectly. The ceviche and poke were phenomenal very fresh. Thank you to Jackie and the team for a wonderful dinning experience our last in 2022 see you in 2023.

I ordered the chicken breast with rice and beans and I got a very dry tasteless small piece of chicken breast with some lukewarm rice and a bowl of black beans that tasted like it just came out of a can. What a disappointment for $20. I have had far better tasting food from Chipotle for less than half the price. Service was slow and inattentive. I asked for the check only to be asked 10 minutes later if I was ready for the check! I will not be going back any time soon.

This is a pleasant, intimate dining space. The menu offered a range of choices, from vegan to full-on meats. Fruits and salads were available in exchange for fries. The open kitchen was very attractive. Good, strong drinks. Cuban inspired sandwiches and roast meats were fragrant and tasth. Matthew, our server, was friendly and approachable.
