At our stay at The Grand, several suggested The Wash. Wr ate there two nights in a row. Who does that? We had friends come in and we had to treat them to what we loved! Jake was our server first night and a blonde lady was ours on night two. Jake was amazing! She was wonderful too! You can’t be in the area and miss this place. Arrive a few mins before your reservation and visit the famous candy shop next door. One of the best restaurants ever!

Our waiter, Jake, was great. The food was excellent although I don’t think I would’ve paired lima beans and corn succotash with the scallops, which were delicious. Great ambiance.

Reservations handled very well table ready, and very nice. The doside of our experience, several items were not available when we ordered at 7:45. Out of gumbo, out of crab cakes, out of rice to go along with Redfish. Was very aggravating to one of our guest who was set on having all of the above, ended up getting four shrimp. We do admit that they were full, but should have been able to plan for the additional people, since all tables are reserved ahead of time.

Made reservations and table was the first table by the entry. Wth..prices was 15 per cent higher than menu on the web..at least...food valve way over price for the serving. Food was great though..was expect mire romantic atmosphere.. made reservations 2weeks in advance too..not returning...dont understand the other high ratings of this place...gravel parking too. Wth

Came here when we were on vacation with friends - everything was absolutely delicious. Highly suggest the chateaubriand and key lime bread pudding. Service was outstanding, great atmosphere.

It’s a cute little place with a great story. Unfortunately that’s about all the positive things I can say. The server was very unwelcoming and lackluster in his duties. I had noted in my reservation that this was our one year wedding anniversary and there was never a mention or recognition of it at all. The food was ok-my husband did enjoy his scallops, but my “crab cakes” were more like crab fritters than cakes. The grilled shrimp were just ok, the fried green tomatoes were not even cooked and could hardly be eaten. The bread was also not even worth the calories. Unfortunately it’s was the special not I had thought it was going to be.

This was our first time visiting the Wash House, my wife and I have tried several times to get in but the place books up quickly…and for good reason. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the temperature was spot on.

Three of us went for a birthday dinner and had an amazing night. Our waiter, Jake, was phenomenal! He was attentive, never intrusive, and very funny in a quiet gentle way. I will absolutely ask for him any time I make future reservations. All three of us started with the smoked tomato bisque (that Jake recommended), the filet, and the key lime bread budding. Everything was excellent. It really was a great night.

Service is very good. Food is also very good but pricey. Would be nice if restaurant offers some bread with meal. Seating is cramped because it is located in an old building. Also parking is limited and a problem when restaurant is busy. But if you want a good meal and are willing to pay a higher price to eat at a historical site, this is the place.

Great service and ambiance. The food was tasty and well prepared. I do find the menu to be very limited considering the restaurant is establishing itself as a prime place. I also find the prices to be a bit high. Overall I gave the restaurant a 4 star rating primarily because of a limited menu selection and, to a lesser degree, because of slightly high prices.
