The Vintage Room at The Reserve Golf Course Ratings and Reviews
We wanted to spend a lunch witht are son and daughter-in-law at an upscale restaurant. We have visited the Reserve many times before but it's been a while. Of the four of us one was happy with the meal and that was a burger. We have no problems spending $70 for lunch for four without alcohol but expect a lot more than what we've got. There will sometime before we return. It was very quiet because we were the only ones in the dining room maybe there is a reason for that.
My husband and I met another couple for lunch on a Friday a week after New Years Day and there were very few people in the restaurant, so we got plenty of attention from the server. I don't know what it would be like on a crowded day. We had looked at the menu online before going, but found that the menu had changed just a few days earlier and the website had not yet been updated, so some of the items were no longer available. There was no gluten-free bread available for sandwiches. Selections seemed a bit limited, but most of us found something we liked. Their happy hour menu looks yummy. I'd like to go back in warm weather and have snacks and drinks outside on the deck.
My wife and I went for a afternoon lunch date and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful scenery and comfortable quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, the menu is in the midst of a change so we didn't experience the full effect. They did provide a mini menu and there was a light shmorgishborg fruits cheeses and meats as well as some salmon which my wife really enjoyed. We were giving a gift card from a wonderful brother and sister of ours and chose to go ahead and pay for the meal and save the gift card for when the full menu is prepared. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and our waiter Jason was remarkable. He deserves a raise.
I made reservations for myself and my wife on December 1st. Our server was EXCELLENT! She made every effort to provide us with an exceptional experience. It was our first time there and I was interested in the prime rib dinner. It turns out that there was not enough for the night. Our server went the extra mile and made several trips to the kitchen to ensure that if there was some prime rib left that it would be served to myself. Turns out there was a slice left and it was to my liking. I loved that the she went above and beyond to make our first time there an enjoyable and memorable one! Thank you!!!
We visited on a Saturday evening, and since the weather was good, most diners were outside on the patio, so we had our choice of tables inside overlooking the golf course. The menu is somewhat limited but broad enough that the lactose-intolerant and the gluten-intolerant both found something they liked.
The service was attentive and cheerful.
We brought friends with us. The food was great. We love our waitress RHonda, she is always pleasant and knowledgeable about what is available we always ask for her. Our friends really enjoyed the food. One had the reserve salad and the other the prime rib. We will definatly be back. Everyone there is very helpful and very pleasant. It is useally very quite but last Friday it was verythromycin noisy, there was party in the small conference room withas small children that were out of control. Poor Rhonda was the waitress, we felt very sorry for her, but through it all she was in control and very pleasant. We will be back and ask for Rhonda again.
We enjoyed the crab cakes and the salmon quite a lot, but the large seasonal blackberry salad we split, was a highlight of the meal! The dressing used on the greens along with the hazelnuts and goat cheese made this a salad that is one of the best I have ever had! We also enjoyed eating outside where we could see a few golfers finishing up their rounds as well as a wedding rehearsal party planning the wedding for the next day in the sitting area in front of the lake. All in all, a beautiful location to eat outside and view the little lake and golf greens!
A group of eight of us went for dinner and to listen to music by Gayle Ritt. The food and service was great as well as the music. There were only a few others in the restaurant. I guess they don't advertise or else this place would be busier. It is out of the way on the west side...
The service and food at The Reserve's Vintage room is consistently excellent. During daylight hours the view from both the dining room and the deck is stunning and the sunsets are spectacular. Make the trip for lunch or an early evening dinner or happy hour. You'll not be disappointed.
We brought two couples to dinner on a week night. While they were out of a few things, the server did mention it before taking our orders. Our party ordered razor clams, lasagna, pulled pork sandwich, lamb burger and the flat iron steak. All entrees were very good and we will return to this restaurant again. In good weather, ask to sit on the patio overlooking the golf course. It is beautiful!
Food was great but service was quite slow. We sat out on the deck and there appeared to only be one or two servers for what must have been 20+ tables. We made reservations ahead of time but still had to wait a good 30 minutes for a table. I would suggest adding more servers out on the deck area.
We'd give the food mixed reviews on quality, but definitely a bit overpriced. My wife had the Mahi Mahi, which was excellent. I had the filet and it was very fatty (it's a filet!) and had a gas flavor from the grill that overwhelmed any other tastes. Our server was not very experienced, especially for a fine dining atmosphere. After a rushed initial visit to the table for drink and appetizer orders, we didn't see him again for almost 30 minutes to finally take our entree orders. Meanwhile, he set up a tray stand directly next to our table and proceeded to serve all of the other tables in his section from the improvised serving station he'd set up. It was very distracting and not a premium experience for us. Very disappointing overall.
