The Village Table Ratings and Reviews
We have been going to the Village Table since they first opened! When we used to get the seafood paella, the dish was hearty with seafood variety. This is not how it was the last visit; much more rice than seafood. Not a good value for $61 (2).
Excellent Flatliners, but they ran out of Bailey's. We were excited for our Flatliners dessert, but left disappointed.
Overall, I would still recommend. Very nice family and great atmosphere.
Disappointed in the food. Ordered a vegetable Paella that was quite expensive ($29). It was only some vegetables on top of the rice. Also ordered the artichoke appetizer which came with about 1" of inedible, unchewable leaves attached to a small heart - with the sauce it was hard to see where the heart was so you could cut it off from the edible part.
The food, ambience, staff, and value are always excellent. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we know that we can always rely on having a pleasant experience. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious.
What a delightful surprise! We had a wonderful family dinner..everyone enjoyed their meals, music background level was perfect, and ambience was comfortable yet cozy. Restaurant looks very unassuming and they need a better sign..rather plain but you won't be disappointed!
Great find. We arrived during Happy Hour, so we were going to order three or four tapas; however, our waitress pointed out the tapas special that included four or five tapas for a cheaper price. Can't beat that. The bottle of Spanish wine we ordered paired perfectly with the steak my husband and I shared and Johnny, the owner/chef, came out to discuss the wine with us. Food, service, ambiance ... and nice owner. This place has it all.
Wow, this place was fantastic! You have a choice of sharing tapas among the table or ordering entrees. We started with marinated olives that had just a little kick to them. Because it was 2 for 1 entree Tuesday we each had one of their seafood offerings. I had the seafood paella (one of three the offer) and my husband had the shrimp pasta which he loved. I will return here if I find myself in Telluride.
Tapas were outstanding, especially the cheese plate and the Spanish egg tortilla, but the salad special (beet salad) was fairly standard - beets, greens and goat cheese - and my partner's salmon was overdone. It is also a very pricey restaurant. A gorgeous interior, however, lovely tables, and attentive service.
Our favorite restaurant in Mt. Village. Seasonal fresh vegetables, everything from roasted chicken, quail, duck, fish. I've tried it all, yummy! Extensive wine list plus a great bar. Live music is an added touch. Outside seating is a plus. I highly recommend.
The Village Table is consistently a great place for dinner. The staff is always friendly, the food is a unique but familiar Mediterranean menu and there are drink specials and tapas as an alternative to a full meal. They go out of their way to accommodate special requests and we have eaten there dozens of times and never been disappointed.
The Village Table is one of our favorite Telluride restaurants. The food is always delicious! Cozy and comfortable for quiet conversation. Outdoor seating is also available. Terrific service. Chef/owner Johnny makes it a point to visit with his diners. Nina's flan is the best!
