We had an amazing experience today at Sunday brunch. The service we received from Antonio was only surpassed by the amazing aray of top quality food. We will definitely be back on our next trip.
Everything was amazing !! Our server Antonio was excellent !!
Unique experience in New York’s only ( slowly) revolving restaurant on the 47th floor of the huge Marriott Marquis hotel. Large choice of food, friendly service, all this for a reasonable price. Especially on a clear day, the panoramic view is breathtaking. Highly recommended!
Excellent service the food was great we all enjoyed ourselves in celebrating our friends’ engagement
Making reservations was easy and hassle-free
Everyone there was so nice and accommodating
Fabulous dinner. The only thing I would have changed is to not check my coat downstairs cause it was a bit cool at some points
It was amazing!
The views are pretty spectacular! Took away stars due to set menu on night and did not offer items shown on the online menu (ie. the lobster bisque that I came for was not available). Second deduction was due to the service and one waitress in particular who was more interested in sharing the menu items she didn’t like (apple dessert) versus providing recommendations. Overall, pretty good food but you’re paying for the views.
The view was really awesome and the wait staff was great. However, it wasn't made clear to us that you had to order the fixed price three course meal. We heard other tables also complaining about the confusion. So you are looking at over $200 for two people easy. The decor is very cruise-ship like and kind of cheesy. The hostess was in a bad mood with someone else complaining when we arrived and sat us next to a large family with loud children, not the date night we were looking for. I then tried to explain I didn't want three courses because I am eight months pregnant and don't have enough space for that but they said they would charge us the $90 regardless of how many courses we ordered. I heard them tell another table this as well. My salad had obviously been sitting out for awhile but besides that it tasted fine. My husband's steak was overcooked, second time round a bit undercooked but he didn't want to send it back a second time so he ate it and ended up getting very sick later that evening, spending most of the night in the bathroom. We both liked our desserts.
This place is an ultimate tourist trap. I was more than happy to pay a few hundred dollars for a nice meal given the location as it was our last night in NY, but it was honestly the worst meal out we've ever eaten. The dollar slices dotted around NY would be a far better option for dinner. Do yourself a favour and just pay to go up one of the larger skyscrapers and get some evening drinks rather than paying through the teeth for awful food at this dive.
Great views. The menu is small but good value. Great service from the team.
Enjoyed it very much! The views and the food were wonderful. Ran out of time to have dessert before our show, but we were full, so it was ok!
My boyfriend and I dined on Friday to celebrate his birthday before a show. We were late and to our surprise everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food was excellent, the hostess gracious and our waiter friendly and helpful. We loved the entire experience!
The staff was very attentive in the restaurant. I did not like the fact that they pushed for us to leave our coats downstairs. We did not. And the food was awful. The view was amazing, but the rolls should’ve been warm, and the food was definitely third rate. I have had better food from street vendors
the prefix menu was average at best. I had the salmon, my wife ordered the chicken. Both dinners were way over-priced, evidently the price for the view. We will not dine here on future visits to NYC.
Chef menu only, but food was great.
Amazing!! Great food!! Great atmosphere!! Great waiters! All round amazing!!
For us it was the first time we visited it was a wonderful experience. Everything from the entrance to the exit was an excellent attention. The spectacular food and the unique attention, since the person who took care of our attention did it with a great taste and always making us feel unique and not to mention the site with I believe one of the most wonderful views of all. Recommended
Went there for a romantic dinner to celebrate 8 years or marriage. Il was a surprise to my wife, and she enjoyed it very much.
Downside would be the service which was quite long, but enabled us to enjoy the view. The food was tasty, but you can find better for the same price. Not sure though that you’ll have a nicer 360° view.
Food was good, but not great for the price. Ordered filet mignon medium - was almost well-done.
The view is amazing, the restaurante not so much. Service is terrible. I recommend going just for drinks.
I think the prix fixe three-course is not a good idea for this restaurant. To justify the 3-course $90 price, the food is plenty and very rich, so the dishes are very heavy. Consequently, at the end of the evening one feels very full but does not really feel like having had a pleasant and satisfying meal. The main course was good, but not outstanding. Appetizers were good. I had the misunderstanding that prix-fixe was a choice, but it was the only option. I would have enjoyed sampling the appetizers and having a lighter meal with smaller serving sizes, rather than being forced into the three very full courses. Yes, it is my fault that I ate all of the food that was served and later felt that it was too much, but if others have the same dislike of wasting food, this is not the place for them.
Exquisito menu, Maravilloso.
Excelente todo. Caro, pero vale la pena
It’s been a few years since I’ve been but the food was not up to par for the money paid for it.
Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we visited, so the view, although good, was not as good as on a clear evening. I had booked in advance and the restaurant knew it was a birthday meal. I booked so that we would be at our table for sunset. When we arrived the only table available straight away was not by the window and we had a 20 min wait to sit st the window. Once we got to our table we could see out of the window as the restaurant revolved. The food was good, but not outstanding and the restaurant could do with a makeover as the decor is a bit dated. The staff were friendly and attentive. My husband received a chocolate cake with a candle at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch. We left at about 10:00 pm and there were very few diners left, so I would advise to eat early for a good atmosphere.
Lovely with a birthday cake!
Absolutely loved this place. Amazing views across the city and lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing - so much choice but also really good quality and some lovely different ideas to try. Thoroughly recommended.
A must for NYC brunch. Great service and view
Marriott does it again.
Fantastic view of Manhattan with attentive service. The brunch buffet had a range of delectable foods and courses. I will recommend The View to others. Looking forward to a return visit!
Fantastic Brunch and great views of the city. The omelet and pancake station were great.
Mimosa brunch was wonderful.
Great idea for a special occasion. Outstanding food and waiting staff were very attentive.
Only criticism was our allotted time was at 10 am and no one was on the front desk to greet us. There was also an issue with the lifts so we didn’t actually get to our table until 10.15.
It was a fun and great experience. Can't wait to come back
Waiter was great ,view was great food just could have been a little more flavorful
Great food and a fixed price 3 course menu, note the wine is pricey and the coffee isn’t included. On the whole we had a wonderful evening for my daughter’s 18th birthday.
Great place to dine as my wife and I enjoyed the food, ambiance service and the overall experience of the evening
Good service. Great view. Expected more from the food.
The View shines for scenery and service — with breathtaking vistas of the city and servers like Reeta, it was easy to enjoy a fancy pre-show meal here on top of the world. The prix fixe menu was decadent and satisfying, if not a touch expensive. I would have liked to see a bit more options for vegetarians — the single meatless entreé available was not as appetizing as the various filets, venison tenderloins, and fresh seafood. But the food we did enjoy was rich and delicious, with unique twists on classic flavors. For a special night in the Big Apple, I'd come back — at least for the view.
A great place to eat with fantastic views. Don't expect a small bill if you're a family of four. Well worth as a special occasion.
It was a good time with family as we celebrated my mother-in-Law birthday! We really loved the rotating effect. The view was spectacular. Would visit again during a different time of the day!
Wonderful place, excellent attention and care of every detail. The cocktails are sensational
