My wife and I dined at Le Petit Chef on Saturday the 23rd to celebrate her 44th birthday. This occasion was noted in our reservation. The staff only remembered when other birthdays were being recognized. Then just offered cocktails. I also alerted the staff of a shellfish allergy that I have. This was only recognized after staff put lobster in front of me. Then offered an alternative. The food was excellent, however the experience fell short.

Apart from the technological part which is obviously sophisticated, the restaurant is old, the chairs are uncomfortable and the service is provided by very informal waiters. The price charged is much higher for the food and drink that were served. It's good entertainment but that's it.

I have been a frequent visitor (at least 8 times) of your restaurant. This time the servers were simply doing their job, didn't connect with a smile or conversation. Food was ok, but not that great. Don't know I didn't hear the stereo affect or the volume was really down. Thank you for the opportunity to share our responds.

Sometimes you would expect that an experience like this would sacrifice on the food in favor of the special effects. Not the case. The food was very good! Definitely a fun way to spend an evening. My only feedback would be to improve the playlist at the beginning of the experience, and between the courses. The same song over, and over can get nauseating.

We booked this as a spinning restaurant, instead of had a child’s projector on table of a silly chief which did my eyes and head in made me feel queasy and whole point for us visiting New York is this it is advertised as a spinning restaurant Food is ok but Luke warm and small portions and for 541 dollars for 2 with tiny glasses of wine to accompany meal think it’s over priced and a massive disappointment I would not recommend it at all Service is as to be expected caring and nice But over all unless you can afford to waste money I would never book again

Animation was great but overall experience was nothing close to the amount charged for it. Lobster was too hard to chew. Portions are limited. The experience started later as they kept waiting for latecomers.

primary waitress was great. she was very helpful and friendly. rest of staff was also very friendly and supportative. unfortunately they let a large party of about 20, including several very small children, to enter about 45 minutes to an hour after service started. they were very loud, children made lots of noise and parents encouraged this. they were also dressed very poorly (rest of patrons were dressed up for a special night). the staff spend too much time accomodating this large group and left us alone for too long. then this group left a bit early while we were still trying to enjoy our wonderful dessert and stopped next to our table to talk loudly for a while. then when we were ready to leave they were still blocking the exits out. the instructions we had stated that we only had a 10 minute grace time. this large noisy group that came in very very late spoiled the show for us that we had paid a lot of money for- I was disapointed- this was our 50th wedding anniversary dinner and I was trying for something very special.

Le petit chef experience: WAY WAY OVERPRICED. Food was bland and lacked flavor. The short rib was the best meal on the menu, and that in itself was nothing to brag about. The interactive video experience was cute, but extremely short. Doesn’t justify the price paid for everything. not worth the value.

What a wonderful experience. Our server, Jay, made it even a more than delightful date night for me and my girlfriend. The food was excellent and Jay was on top of every aspect of our meal. Highly recommend it and will definitely be back with other family members and friends!

I was pleasantly surprised when we got of the elevator and were greeted with a flute of champagne and a bite to eat at a reception desk prior to seating. Very impressed with the restaurant and views from the 47th floor. The 4 course meal was delicious. Burrata and strawberries (1st) Lobster with risotto (2) and beef short ribs (3) were memorable. Our server, Jay explained the course prior to serving and made sure our wine glasses were taken care of. The wine paring was excellent also. Overall it was an excellent dinner and experience, and the wait staff was superior.

Parties were escorted into a small waiting area. There stood only 5 tall tables with dirty and stained linens. One Server brought out and announced, “lobster rolls”, however there was only enough for 6 to 8 people. Then the same processed occurred with the mini taco and French pastry appetizer. I found this odd as they knew the number of people that were attending that night before hand. Only 6 glasses of water were brought out for roughly 32 attendees. It was approximately 14 minutes after entering the dining area itself before any water was offered. The animation was fun and creative although very short. The kid’s menu was basic American chicken fingers and French fries. I felt the price point was high for what was offered. I would not go again.

I truly like the whole concept except I think the restaurant should update their decor a little. For the best location and price , the interior should be a bit better than an old out of date restaurant. The food was good but our server don’t seems to be knowledgeable for their vegan menu, all he said it’s … this is vegan ??? But overall, it’s a great experience

the food could’ve been way better and cheaper. the idea is amazing and the animations are really funny but the food you eat isn’t really good…. the decor could’ve been so much funnier too !! a theme around france as if you were in a kitchen, some kind of ratatouille-theme ? the service was amazing, the waiters were so kind and funny. even more the american/dominican republic waitress with glasses ! overall, the idea is so fun and you really have a good time but it could’ve been better if the food was simpler and better and the decor better too. because once you’re eating there’s no petit chef on the table and the restaurant is a bit bland

We went to Le Petite Chef, which was inside the View and had their special animated presentation. It was very cute and food was very good. There should definitely be a dress code, however . I know it's a generation thing, but even in the summer, shorts and t-shirts are not acceptable for a $300 per person dinner.

Le Petit Chef was so much fun! We went with grandparents and children so it was a great experience for all ages. It is pricey so if you're worried about value this isn't the place. It is great food with a great experience. We gave our family the choice of this or a Broadway Show and this was their pick and we have no regrets.

My sister and I did this experience to celebrate her daughters 18th and 21st birthdays (the 21st being on the day). Apart from there being a little confusion for a number of guests as to how to reach the top of the hotel, we were eventually escorted to the lift and arrived for our dining experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, We were offered a drink and aperitifs before entering the main dining room. There was plenty of space between us and other diners, so it felt quite private. The food was delicious and finely presented. The Petit Chef show for each course was great fun and very clever! The accompanying wines were lovely and the service excellent. My minor comments would be that an accompanying wine to pair with the dessert would have been good. We were offered a choice of one of the previous samples., but these were all on the dry side to have with a desert. My 18yr old niece couldn't have alcohol, and twice they forgot to bring a soft drink for her. Finally, it would have been a real bonus if the restaurant had been rotating, we understood this stops at 8pm when the Petit Chef dinner starts! Overall a fabulous and fun experience with excellent quality and service! Thank you!

This was our first time to experience anything like this. It was very pleasant, and the staff was amazing. The food portions were larger than expected, and the wine flowed freely.

The while experience was so incredibly adorable and fun! I was worried the food may not be up to par but it was amazing and it was just enough food. Our server, Dante, was so friendly and kind throughout the entire service; they made the experience that much more amazing!

To say this dinner was overpriced is an understatement. I understand you're paying for the experience but it was so underwhelming. For $800 for 3 people I expected so much more. I will say the service was was fantastic.
