First time in New York
I had options for each of the courses which should always be the case. Flavour and subtle tastes were evident in each dish and portion sizes were perfect. My lamb shank was beautiful. Service was very good and appeared at the right time.
At times we easily forgot about the view as the food was that good.
Had a lovely evening here for my birthday everything about it was spectacular the food was exceptional would definitely recommend and would love to come back.
The restaurant had a lovely view & atmosphere. Staff were more than helpful and also very polite. Food was very good also, would definitely recommend to visit The View.
Quite an experience.. the food was very good .. service was good giving plenty of time in between courses however $281 was a little on the high side.
All about the view which is amazing
Food and service are average at best however having said that ,Is definitely worth the visit
I would say the Sunday brunch is better than dinner and expect to wait for your waiter/waitress to take care of your orders
Also for the sunset specify that you are there for a table where you can see the sunset as in our case they were inaccurate and our table missed the sunset by 25 mins but we got up and took pics
So good! It was my wifes birthday and they sang a birthdaysong. The waiter, Brian, was the best. The best service and food during our vacation.
Loved our brunch at the View. The waitstaff was outstanding. The value for our dollar for food and view and service was incredible. I can’t wait to return.
Tha "View" was excellent. The food was ample at the brunch, an excellent selection for all tastes. The wait staff was impeccable! The NY city skyline is amazing and the "View" provided an astounding vantage point. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, well appointed and well though out, down to the handsome silverware. The "view" was a wonderful experience and I can't wait for another occasion to return.
Great Sunday Brunch. Made my son’s birthday very special.
Lindo y bueno . Romántico
We had the lamb and steak, well presented and tasted good. My moment of joy was the pavlova, fantastic to the last bite. Service was great in both the lounge and the restaurant, and of course the city skyline was a treat. Will be back soon
Amazing night. Kids were so happy with the view and food was delicious. The service was perfect both guys were waoooooo gave them a 5 start services.
What a beautiful dining experience and the food was amazing
My favorite place the visit💕
Fantastic meal for Andy’s birthday. Couldn’t fault a thing
The food was not as good as it should have been for the price. Our server was very short with us. Great view and amazing cheesecake
The experience itself was nice- the food was sub par and for the taste was over priced. We are glad we dined there as it will be a check off of our list. Would be okay if we never ate there again.
This was our third visit to the View. It’s our go-to place for special occasions, and showing off the city to family and friends. The food was wonderful, as usual, and the service, outstanding. We would recommend this restaurant unreservedly.
Food was good, service was excellent, amazing views as you would expect.
It was expensive. I have had better food and choice in Mayfair, 25% cheaper
This was my 67th birthday dinner which I sent with my daughter and my 7 year old granddaughter. We all enjoy everything about this dinner and I vow to make this an annual dinner celebration. We also intend to visit for Sunday brunches during the summer and for “because we feel like” dining out.
Thank to our server Tom. We appreciated your input and service and thanks for my birthday cake. We will be back.
Al leer el menú parecía que no iba a haber nada que nos pudiera gustar pero al probar cada Plata estaba riquísimo, una gran forma de demostrar que cocinado de la forma correcta todo puede ser rico
the price of the restaurant is not worth the quality of the food and the waiters almost hurl the dishes. Terrible.
Great tourist spot to get great food and service with changing view from the middle of the island.
Wonderful restaurant! Enjoyable Prix-Fixe menu! Food is great and the view of the city is amazing!!! Our waiter was hands down the best and helped us navigate the buildings and skyline. This is definitely a must when visiting mid-Manhattan!
The view of the City was outstanding. The service was attentive. If I could the food a zero, I would. My husband’s review of the dessert: “Mmmmmmm. Tastes just like a Christmas urinal.” (and he wasn’t wrong)
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. To get a meal surf and turf that came out bloody and made him sick as well as the food was very cold. Did not want to complain so just sat it there. Did not eat the desert was not what I was expecting and for me to spend 400$ for 2 it was not worth it at all.
The food was excellent, a bit pricey, but for the location and atmosphere, it’s what you would expect.
Outstanding food and ambiance. What actually made the evening was our server Brian. What superb service.
Food was great!! We couldn’t get a window seat which was 😞. The female restroom was dirty. The male restroom had a concierge..
The brunch was fantastic with great service provided by Josh and Samir. Well worth the money.
food needs a lot of work
service we had to call them over
The only thing I didn’t like it was that i made a reservation for a window table because of a special occasion (anniversary) and they said i had to wait like 45 min to get a window table, so i dont get the point to make a reservation
Wow what an experience. Slightly more cost wise than most restaurants in the area but well Worth it. Staff very attentive and made to feel very welcome
Overall it was a very nice experience. The food was great, excellent service and beautiful scenery. However, I specifically called about the dress code and after going to the restaurant, the dress code clearly is not enforced. I just think that piece took away from the atmosphere some.
I hardly ever write reviews, and I submit this one to be productive and helpful to others... The View Restaurant is a good choice IF you are new to NYC, new to Times Square, or are going to the theater. Be aware, though, that not all tables at The View are alike; quite understandably, not all tables are up against the windows, and some even have very limited views or are set way back in the restaurant. Avoid The View if you are looking for good food, good wine, are a foodie of any sort (even just a bit), or expect a certain level of service. In this case, The View is NOT the place for you. The food is simply large hotel food (and average, at best), the wine selection is limited, the staff seem like lovely people but race around frenetically, and you pay a whole lot of money for the experience that may offer only an average or partial view (i.e. ~$600 for food, bottle of average wine & service/gratuity for just three of us). My advice: explore One World Trade Center or the Empire State Building to get your NYC viewing experience, then spend your money elsewhere on a better, higher-quality dining experience.
Foie Gras app with Veal shank for main course. My date had the crab cake and Filet mignon. Both were well executed and tasty. But the star if the meal is the view. Quite awesome
It’s a very good place for date or special occasion. If you want to sit right by the window, it’s better reserve a spot before 5:30. The service was great, food was good.
