The food was amazing and a great variety! Service was brilliant at the beginning but it did slack off a bit halfway through. We had the Sunday brunch and although it was expensive it was very good and the view and experience made it worth it.
We went to The View for Sunday brunch. This is a revolving restaurant on the 47th floor of the Marriott Marquis. The setup was kind of cool where the seating area revolved but the food stations remained stationary, so if desired, you can have the food "come to you". Or you can take a short stroll to the food. Almost all the seating is against the window, so the views are wonderful, especially on a beautiful day like we had. The service was attentive and professional. The food was very good and plentiful, with a good variety. For $68 pp, I thought it was a good bargain, with 2 free mimosa's. We would go back.
The best Sunday Brunch in NYC. A must try, great for birthday’s or family gathering.
My daughters Confirmation
Went to the restaurant and luckily was given a window seat. Great view of Manhattan and good was lovely
Great views, great ambience, a must to see landmarks and Times Square while enjoying a great meal
Very good service and an amazing view
We celebrated our 25th anniversary in NYC and The View was our anniversary dinner. We made 7:00 reservations so that we could see the sunset. We were seated by the window immediately. Our server was Luis and he was spectacular! We chose the crab cakes for appetizer, the filet mignon and NY Strip for entree’s, and lobster Mac and cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and potato mash as our shareable sides.... INCREDIBLE! I truly believe it was the best food we’ve ever had. We were sad that we couldn’t finish it all, but then they packed our dessert to take back to our hotel. The Green Apple Mouse was delish!
We were so glad we chose The View to celebrate! It is a pricey restaurant, but we knew that going in. We would definitely do it all over again!
I brought my parents and their friends here on their first visit to the city, and it was a fantastic decision. The view at sunset is one of the best you can get in the whole city, and the food and service were up to par with what I would expect from a nice restaurant in NYC. Keep in mind that you will likely spend twice the prix fix price per person if you buy drinks and sides like we did, but I think I would be perfectly content without any of the add-ons if I was being more frugal.
The only other thing to note is that you may get lost on your way back from the bathroom because by the time you return, your table has moved! But that honestly just added to the fun and laughs. We had a great evening.
Very nice view, obviously. Great service and food. Server suggested the chocolate sphere for dessert and it was a work of art! Loved it. Consider bringing sunglasses depending on your timing.
A fun place to go before a broadway show. The food was good, but certainly not excellent. Your there for the view and the novelty of seeing NYC from a revolving restaurant.
The view from the restaurant was amazing but besides that the restaurant was completely disappointing. We left the restaurant throughly disappointed in the food, So much so that we would never return or recommend it to anyone. For appetizers we got ravioli and the ham. The ravioli was very good but the ham was completely disgusting. For entrees we got filet mignon and lamb. The filet was just ok and the lamb was horrible. For desert we got the chocolate and the apple desert. Both were the worst deserts I have ever had. Presentation they looked good but taste wise they were so bad. We spent almost 30 dollars at the restaurant only to think the food was very disappointing.
I guess we paid for the scenic view but def not the food.
The waitress didn’t seem very personal and for a restaurant so pricy she was not the caliber waitress I would expect.
Great, affordable food with a spectacular view of New York.
We endured a very lovely evening, the food was fantastic along with the views. The only critique would be the pudding was too sweet for me, however I am a savoury person and my mum certainly enjoyed her pudding.
Amazing service since the host gave me a window table after certain but not too long wait. Food is unexpectedly delicious with good value and my server Luis is very friendly as well.
Love the atmosphere- nice views of the city! Food was good!
Beautiful food in lovely surroundings, and the service was outstanding.
Loved it! Went there for a date and our servers were just charming.
Great food! Waiter was awesome. A perfectly clear night. Would not be worth it on a cloudy night.
We went for and after play dinner and had an exceptional and enjoyable evening. The prix fixe menu offered something for everyone for each course, though it is a bit pricey. The food was excellent, the view fantastic and service outstanding. Would recommend for a great time and will go again
This was a great experience for my wife and myself. The food was great. The only issue was the long wait time for the food. We had a 7pm reservation and we did not get our appetizer until over an hour later. Overall, it was a great experience.
First time in New York
I had options for each of the courses which should always be the case. Flavour and subtle tastes were evident in each dish and portion sizes were perfect. My lamb shank was beautiful. Service was very good and appeared at the right time.
At times we easily forgot about the view as the food was that good.
Had a lovely evening here for my birthday everything about it was spectacular the food was exceptional would definitely recommend and would love to come back.
The restaurant had a lovely view & atmosphere. Staff were more than helpful and also very polite. Food was very good also, would definitely recommend to visit The View.
Quite an experience.. the food was very good .. service was good giving plenty of time in between courses however $281 was a little on the high side.
All about the view which is amazing
Food and service are average at best however having said that ,Is definitely worth the visit
I would say the Sunday brunch is better than dinner and expect to wait for your waiter/waitress to take care of your orders
Also for the sunset specify that you are there for a table where you can see the sunset as in our case they were inaccurate and our table missed the sunset by 25 mins but we got up and took pics
So good! It was my wifes birthday and they sang a birthdaysong. The waiter, Brian, was the best. The best service and food during our vacation.
Loved our brunch at the View. The waitstaff was outstanding. The value for our dollar for food and view and service was incredible. I can’t wait to return.
Tha "View" was excellent. The food was ample at the brunch, an excellent selection for all tastes. The wait staff was impeccable! The NY city skyline is amazing and the "View" provided an astounding vantage point. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, well appointed and well though out, down to the handsome silverware. The "view" was a wonderful experience and I can't wait for another occasion to return.
Great Sunday Brunch. Made my son’s birthday very special.
Lindo y bueno . Romántico
We had the lamb and steak, well presented and tasted good. My moment of joy was the pavlova, fantastic to the last bite. Service was great in both the lounge and the restaurant, and of course the city skyline was a treat. Will be back soon
We booked this restaurant for our daughters 21st birthday celebrations and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and our waiter could not do enough for us and to complete the experience was the view from the window showing all of New Yorks sky line. Brilliant, thank you.
The food and service where excellent however I do not think the suggestion of 89 dollars 20% is acceptable we could of invited another guest for that price I would never tip that much it spoilt the night as we felt we were obliged to do so
Amazing night. Kids were so happy with the view and food was delicious. The service was perfect both guys were waoooooo gave them a 5 start services.
What a beautiful dining experience and the food was amazing
My favorite place the visit💕
