Took in Hamilton with the wife and ate dinner here. Service a touch slow considering the place was quite empty on a Wednesday night. Sat near a rather loud table of four young men in "spirited" conversation which detracted from the experience a bit.
Overall a nice place for a special night out with your significant other. Full rotation of the dining room take about an hour and some of the views are obscured. Only the floor and "exterior" glass wall move. The inner portion (kitchen) and ceiling remain fixed.
This was one of the most amazing places to go for a special occasion. My boyfriend and I went for our seven year anniversary and we were so entertained by the rotating floor and views of the whole city. We had a lovely seat against the windows and it was so fun! The waiter and waitress that tended to us were AMAZING, possibly the two nicest and most attentive people in the food industry I've met. They made sure to come around and ask tables if they wanted a picture, that way you didn't feel awkward asking for a few in the different lightings before sunset and after. Also, they asked us if we were here for any reason and we said it was our anniversary. For desert (which was the best course) they brought over a chocolate cake for no charge along with the desert we had already ordered. It was so generous and kind and really made out night!!
I was disappointed with the service. Everyone seem to cater the big groups and my dinner of two was left to the end. I had to call loud to get attention and the waiter to table next to me assist. I was disappointed.
Overall, the restaurant is nice with a beautiful view. The service was alright and the food wasn’t all that good. It was for my boyfriend’s birthday and all he got was a small chocolate cake and was told happy birthday by our waitress but three other people in the restaurant got sung happy birthday by a few of the staff. The steak was burnt and tasted terrible. I also didn’t like the fact that gratuity was included and jacked my bill up an extra $33 dollars. I feel like guests should be able to pick their own meals and have the opportunity to decide if they want to spend $89 each on food that isn’t 100% tasteful.
The wait staff was nice enough but just took forever to come to our table in the first place and then hardly ever returned
The restaurant had the most amazing views, staff were attentive but not in our faces and the food was lovely! We had a great evening
I thought it would be a bit more jaw dropping in person but its still nice if you get a window seat. Must get there 30mins before your reservation to get a window seat! Its not guaranteed.
Spectacular views, of course. And the people were nice, and the service was good. But the food was essentially hotel-fare, and NOT worth the extremely high prices. Party of 3 was $500 with the tip. Felt like I got "taken" afterwards...
The view is incredible! Food was ok - tasted like there was lemon in the mashed potatoes, didn't taste very good. Not the best meal I've had for the price. Service was very good.
We chose The View because of its revolving restaurant. It was for my Husbands's Birthday. A Little pricey but worth it. We enjoyed the fixed price menu. Lots of choices.
