I was in Philadelphia twice and had dinner both times. The food, music and staff was fantastic. Enjoyed it the first so much that I had to go back.

I was looking for a good Italian restaurant and this one did not disappoint! It is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Philly. The main draw is the live opera singing by the waiters and waitresses. Although my family and I are not big opera people, listening to the music was nice and helped make this a fun dining experience! We started with the baked clams casino and fried calamari appetizers to share. They were both good, although I have had better baked clams casino. For entrees, 2 of us had veal saltimbocca which was very good, and we were given big portions. Another person ordered salmon which they enjoyed, and were also given a large portion. Lastly, we finished with tiramisu which was very very good and plenty big to share among 3 people who were already fairly full. The service was also excellent! Our water glasses were never empty. The meal took a little longer due to the opera performances every 20min, but it was definitely worth it to hear the great singing. I would definitely make reservations as the restaurant was very busy, even on a Sunday night. This is a very unique place and a great place to go if you are looking for Italian food with some neat entertainment!

The Victor Cafe is a wonderful experience. The food is delicious (though a tad expensive) and the servers (who all sing Opera) are very friendly, attentive, and talented. They ring a bell when someone is about to sing but that still didn't quiet down some patrons. Still, I would highly recommend an evening here.

When I confirmed the reservation I was assured that they would sing happy birthday to my husband. It never happened. Our server Iris paid little to no attention to us. It was very obvious that her attention was centered on other tables - we were a party of 5 and did not order alcohol. Our server walked by our table multiple times and did not even spare a glance at our table. The food was fabulous however the service was quite lacking. After waiting 15 mins to ask a question about dessert we decided that we would simply ask for the check and leave. Honestly doubt we will be back.

My guest and I had wonderful pasta meals, I had the shrimp bisque and porcini mushroom ravioli and she had the spinach salad and the Prince Igor entree along with beautiful opera singing performances by the staff. We ended our experience with a chocolate martini and tiramisu with a birthday candle, delivered by 3 of the staff singing Happy Birthday in operatic style for my dates birthday celebration.

There Aren't Enough stars to rank this restaurant. This was easily one of the best family experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. Needless to say the incredibly authentic Italian food was unimaginable. We are one of those families that can definitely tell a difference between homemade pasta and non homemade pasta. The pasta was not only homemade but everything about our meal was fresh. The singing by the wait staff and the host put everything over the top. Every few minutes you are treated to a full quality show of entertainment. We have two little ones. Our 11 year old ate his pasta in about 6 minutes and our little 8 year old dipped every one of her noodles carefully and wonderfully in her side of marinara sauce. They were so happy that they had to have dessert and the dessert was amazing. My wife and I both had Seafood specials and the freshness was unmatched and our drinks were also the perfect compliment to are already incredible dinners. The Canolli we're fresh and perfect too!
Here's the final thought.
We go out to eat a lot and almost always have a box or two to take home. This was one of the first times I can remember that we didn't need a box. None of us. Which was kind of a shame because I would love to have leftovers of that incredible food again.

Varied options on the menu, and everyone loved his meal. The highlight is listening to the many arias performed by the waitstaff. Each singer prefaced the aria with an explanation of its meaning. I looked forward to every time the bell was rung and someone performed. Upstairs is the coziest bar which is open on weekends. What a wonderful experience!

Opera singing waitstaff, old-time Italian and well prepared. The restarant claims to be 100 years old. The food is good, the ambience great and the prices comendable.

Since we love Opera we decided to try this Restaurant by our friends recommendations. Well what a wonderful experience. The food was superb, the wine that was suggested was perfect and paired well with our food. Now, our favorite part was the talent of the Opera singers and when we closed our eyes it was just like being at the Met. We will recommend this Restaurant to our family and friends and can't wait to go back. Thank you for everything Victor's Cafe staff. Please keep up the great work.

Me and my wife found this restaurant to be the best dining experience we have ever had. From the excellent food and service to the wonderful live music that was provided. We both loved every minute of it. It was also a bonus that it was used in the rocky movies. But the Victor cafe stands on its own as a wonderful dining experience. 5 stars from us. Love from Ireland.

The Victor Cafe is a warm and congenial restaurant with delicious homemade pastas and sauces. The clientele was mixed--business people, those celebrating special occasions, and families. We were looking forward to the entertainment provided by the waitstaff, and their skilled performances far exceeded our expectations. It was a really special evening!

This would have definitely been 5 stars, but it took 20 minutes for someone to even come over to get our drink order...at 9PM on a Thursday. The food was good, nice, historic atmosphere and the stop for the staff singing opera every 20 minutes is amazing.

If we had had even decent service, it would have been a great night.
