The Victor Cafe dinner we enjoyed by all six people in our party and were very pleased with the operatic voices we were lucky enough to listen to with rapt attention! The food was excellent, as well as the wait staff were fabulous! We'll have to go back again soon! It's well worth the drive!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Victor's Café. The opera singers were amazing. Actual they gave us a nice break in our meal to sit back and enjoy our dinner together. Old school charm, authentic Italian cooking, pleasant atmosphere, how could you go wrong in not picking this gem.

Great night at Victors enjoying great food, music and outstanding service. Great value on Italian wines - the specials on the night menu more reasonable an outstanding Barolo. Veal was delightful, burrata fresh and roasted peppers perfect. With the singing, made it most enjoyable. Will be back to my old hood again.

A really fun dinner. First the Victor Cafe is a very good traditional Italian restaurant that has been around for decades. But it is more than that! All the servers are trained opera singers. Periodically through the meal, a bell is rung. You are then treated to a solo by one of the staff members. A very pleasant experience.

Everyone should go to The Victor Café. The food is great Italian food as the talented wait staff
will perform Opera as you dine. For your birthday, all of the wait staff sings Happy Birthday
with the Operatic twist!!!!! Great food and entertainment.

After dining, you can go upstairs for an after dinner drink. The upstairs is cozy, calming
beautiful. The Victor Café is a Philadelphia, PA diamond!!!!!

Second time here. It was our 25th wedding anniversary. My party consisted of my son, my wife and myself. My wife's meal was prepared incorrectly prior to her getting it so it was delayed. Not a big deal other than the waiter feeling like he had to give us a full explanation of what went wrong in the kitchen. We didn't care as we were enjoying the singing while we were waiting. What got me very upset is that my 20 year old son specifically requested that the group sing a quick happy anniversary song to the tune of the birthday song which we heard them do many times. He had asked that he be able to record it and was told it wouldn't be an issue. So when dessert came out we were all prepared for a happy anniversary song to be performed but they simply played something unrelated over their sound system. I will never forget the disappointed look on my wife's face. We drove one and a half hours from NJ for the experience only to be completely let down. Do not go here if you expect anything special for an anniversary. They'll sing happy birthday but apparently that's all they know. We could have gone anywhere for our 25th but chose Victor''s Cafe. Big mistake that I will regret for a very long time.

I took my parents to Victor Cafe as they were visiting out of town and it was a wonderful experience. It was one that I've never experienced before. Not only is the staff wonderful in their service, but are all extremely talented. You don't have to be an opera fan to appreciate the experience you will receive. The Victor Cafe should be on everyone's list.

Arugula with figs was very tasty as was the ravioli with lobster and the pasta with shrimp and scallops. This was our second visit and we will take friends the next time we go. If we lived closer we would probably be regulars.

We went here for my daughter's birthday this past weekend and it was a wonderful, memorable experience! I reserved through Open Table and I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday. I didn't even have to say anything to the waitress about the birthday and they brought us a cannoli with a candle in it and sang to her. She is a singer herself and it just made her night so special! Such a fun place to go!

Dinner at Victor's Cafe was the best night I ever had in any restaurant ever. Had been there 25 years ago when it was famous for it's live opera singers who were the wait staff but they've improved the acoustics and have recorded music for the live opera singers. The singing of opera classics by the wait staff was unbelievably moving. The food was excellent and the red and white table clothes and photos of celebreties all over the walls was magnificent. This is a must stop for everyone. What a fantastic evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Victor's Cafe for a wonderful evening!!!

For anyone who yearns for those timeless gems in opera, this is the perfect place. It is the best of opera, sung up-close and personal, by talented trained singers who are passionate and knowledgable about the food they serve and the songs they sing.

The Victor Cafe is just a few blocks East of Broad Street and easy to find for us out-of-towners and on weekends they even have valet parking. The restaurant seems to occupy two townhouses side by side, and the space opens up after having entered through a very narrow and crowded space/area. Every employee you encounter there is extremely friendly and smiling. The walls are decorated with hundreds of pictures of people and venues in the musical world........The surprise is that everyone of the wait staff is also an aspiring opera singer. Every 15 or 20 minutes a bell is rung and one of the young people sings an aria or musical poem ( no recicatives ) and everyone of them had a magnificent voice, soprano, mezzo soprano and tenor !!! They really had their hearts in it.
Service was a little slow, we had to wait almost an hour for our entree and the food, veal picante and veal salt-imboca, was tasty, but not outstanding. The seafood selections were limited, they only had the old standbys, shrimp, scallops, and mussels / clams. The only fish available was filet of salmon and bronzino, presented as a whole fish and not deboned. I would have loved a nice thick piece of sea bass. It was a nice experience and we will be back.
