The Valley Kitchen
My family loves to go to Valley Kitchen and split the Tomahawk steak - it’s just outstanding and makes such an impressive presentation. The setting is lovely and the service always attentive. We feel very lucky to live just down the road from CV Ranch and able to enjoy the resort frequently.
Our waitress was very welcoming and helpful. She was very attentive to us and I would recommend this location for a calm but beautiful setting!
We arrived on time for our reservation.
They sat us on time. Our waiter was good.
My wife needs gluten free and the menu was clearly marked.
Our meals were great!!
Sea Bass and risotto with garden organically grown!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and meals.
Atmosphere was good. No view but energy of staff and people was uplifting 🐬
Ordered the Tomahawk steak(very expensive), it took an hour to get on the table. It came with vegetables and sauces. The steak it’s self tasted good even though it was ordered medium but came out medium well. Everything on the platter was cold. So they brought the side dishes out warmed up one at a time. The meal was eaten in Increments. We spoke to the manager and he just said sorry. Poor service and poor management. I forgot to say the bitter hostess forgot to check us in on opentable. Classless
Inconsistent and inattentive service. Disappointing since we are local and have enjoyed our experiences here before. Almost seemed like our server left half way through our meal. My mushroom polenta was delivered with burned and black toast pieces. I asked it be replaced with unburned toast. I ordered a second glass of wine and was basically done with my meal when it was delivered. We waited and waited for someone to pick up our check when we were ready to pay. Just all around awful. The staff seemed overwhelmed and all around out of their league.
Food was disappointing and ambiance chaotic. We have been there before and had a better experience.
Beautiful setting with attentive staff and great food. The Lavender Bliss cocktail is amazing. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. But, skip the warm cookies, which are neither warm nor soft.
Sabrina (manager) very nice sweet someone to vent with. We stayed 2hrs and most of that time we where talking with our waiter & Sabrina, which was lovely to do. Would highly recommend this place for everyone and also for people with pets. Dobby (my dog) felt very happy, relaxed and felt like if was at home. Can’t wait to come back.
Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Healthy, delicious, food. Poached eggs cooked perfectly, hash browns light and crispy.
It was a little cold outside but once the heaters were on we were fine. There is an issue with the wasps. They do everything they can to address it. Josh was great. Food was fabulous. I had the mushroom risotto. A little less pesto would be even better
Our waiter José was very helpfully with our menu selections! Our hostess took care of finding us the perfect spot.
The patio at The Valley Kitchen is very pleasant. The staff are professional, friendly, and attentive.
The lunch menu offers a variety of food choices. My friend had the moules frites which she enjoyed. I was a tad disappointed with the Cobb salad. I prefer the traditional Cobb salad in which the ingredients are chopped. There were generous portions of most of the ingredients which were in large pieces. There was very little lettuce which was overdressed. The Jidori chicken didn't have much flavor which surprised me.
Worst breakfast ever. Buffet and single entrees were below par. Would not recommend this Restaurant.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating in perfect weather. The menu has something for everyone, and the food was delicious. Our wait person was friendly and efficient. We will be returning to The Valley Kitchen.
Polenta with mushroom appetizer was the best we've had (and we're italian). Crabcake was full of crab and had a nice panko crunch, little filler, yet could have used more seasoning. Scallop entree was superb, fish cooked perfectly and corn pudding accompaniment added a touch of sweet and crunch. Excellent combination together.
We are locals and so enjoy The Valley Kitchen especially enjoying a birthday celebration recently. Started at the bar and asked for a quiet table for dinner which was immediately executed. Fabulous dinner, excellent wait staff. Thank you!
My husband’s birthday and we were celebrating. Had a delicious dinner and a wonderful evening.
Lovely meal with friends in a gorgeous setting. Diverse and unique menu with regional emphasis. Expert service and lively environment.
There are more high quality restaurants with high quality food and as we expected... Dinner at The Valley Kitchen was amazing. But.. what made the biggest impression on us was their staff. Each and every server that came to our table knew how to make us feel special & appreciated. We told them that we were not in a rush, that we wanted to take our time to enjoy the various dishes, and they did a great job.
This restaurant is perfect for family gathering but not ideal for romantic getaway. Also, we should have booked for the night instead of just visiting the restaurant.
Terrible service for a beautiful setting and hotel restaurant. Food is good but service is extremely slow, unapologetic, unrefined. Forget silverware, water (when requested), forgetful, didn’t want to order more because of hassle. Overall etiquette lacking.
This was our first time to Valley Kitchen and overall we were impressed. We had a nice table for four in the corner next to the window. The ambiance is lovely. The food excellent. We had risottos and pasta and appetizers which were all beautifully prepared. The service however was dismal. Dustin was our server and while he was a really nice guy he needs some training. Once our entrees were delivered he didn’t check back in with us to see how our meal was or if we needed anything else. We asked for tea refills twice and finally flagged him down to get the refills. He didn’t offer a desert menu or coffee. We had to wave him over and ask for a menu. For the prices and the quality of this restaurant the service should have been great and unfortunately it left a bad taste in our mouth. We would return and hopefully get better service next time.
Our night at Valley kitchen started out to be not so great. I had asked for an awesome view or fireplace seating as it was my birthday and I wanted it to be special. However the hostess said all the awesome seats were reserved. Hmmm. We were seated outside at a windy table. Then we were blessed with a fantastic server, Kimberly. After I pouted for a while to Kimberly, she went to work to make it happen. She really listened, and that my friends is what makes GREAT customer service. We ended up with an amazing table with a view to remember. Between Kimberly and Luke, our waiter, they made my birthday night magical. Thank you.
I made a reservation for outdoor seating but when we arrived, we were told outdoor seating was full. We would have gone elsewhere had we known. Frustrating to say the least as the reservation was for 5 PM with plenty of free tables outside (still tables open outside as we left after 6 pm).
TheFood and atmosphere was outstanding! The service was a little slow even wit was not especially busy. The staff was friendly and plentiful but our table was never cleared prior to the next course even though it was evident we were finished with previous course.
Worth a trip, donuts are not worth ordering, huevos rancheros very good.
Very pricey for very unimpressive salmon served on what was called a tomato fennel fondue , but was really a runny tomato fennel sauce. Accompanied by flavorless peapods and corn on a cream sauce. Salmon underdone. Waited a long time for coffee and dessert.
Service was incredibly slow
We had a wonderful dinner! One of us had a seafood risotto, one had salmon, and one had a lamb dish. All were delicious. We are Ranch members and eat at The Valley Kitchen often. It’s a warm, inviting atmosphere with wonderful views from the inner dining room, or you can sit outside near the pool in a loosely enclosed area. The staff is welcoming and since we live on the property it is a short walk from our home if we choose. We are lucky to live so close to a wonderful restaurant.
We hadn't been to The Valley Kitchen in a long time. The server was great and food excellent however we chose to sit outside. The smoke from the fire was blowing right toward us for most of our meal which made the outdoor setting smokey. I'm sure we could have moved inside. Perhaps the restaurant can do something about the outdoor fire pit and the smoke?
Entirely too expensive for the quality and quantity of food received. If you want to spend 35.00 for a hamburger or 38.00 for two scallops, this is the place for you.
The setting with a view of the golf course was beautiful, romantic and relaxing. Our server, Robert was excellent. Each dish was delicious
Overall we had a lovely dinner. Some things that could have made it better? 1. Air-conditioning too cold blowing on us and dinner entire time. 2. Better meal spacing. It felt rushed and one course piled in a other on the table. Clearly we were still enjoying and they kept bringing out next course too quickly.
Beware sitting outside for dinner when the fire pit is on. Smoke and ash blowing around and smelling up the place. Server Manuel was outstanding. Ate inside for breakfast two of the mornings and much better ambiance. Cozy couches act as seats for some tables. Great spread for the buffet and good views.
Mediocre hotel food.
Beautiful setting, great food and awesome service. What more can you ask for?
The place and grounds were beautiful. We were seated at 7:45, didn't get our meal until around 9:30. It was extremely noisy. I ordered the beet salad which was tasty, but only contained a total of 6 half pieces of beets and cost $14
Everything from being greeted, the table setting, the wait staff, was the best!
And then the meal itself, stupendous!!!!
