The Union Kitchen (Memorial Dr)
I requested a round table for the 6 ladies and we were seated in a round table for 6. Perfect evening, excellent dishes. Our wait staff was Alex, he was friendly, attentive and helpful.
Fantastic experience. Waiter was great and loved the meal.
10:15 Sunday. Only three tables with people. Lots of Waiters standing around in bar, outside and not attending to table. Waited 10 minutes before anyone came for service. Got coffee and ordered. No coffee refill or complimentary muffins. Ten minutes later, requested these of a waiter passing by. Waited for food 20-25 minutes. This was just a Belgian waffle and a side of bacon and sausage. Nothing complicated.
Waffle was barely warm. Had to request butter, which was bricks of cold butter- unable to use on the now cold waffle.
Overall an unpleasantness brunch experience.
The food is amazing. So so good. The service was eh. We’ve been there once before and had way better service the first time. This time the waiter kept disappearing for long periods of time and we kept having to flag him down. They were not busy at all so I’m not sure what the deal was. Overall it was good but next till I’m request Alex. He was our server the first time and was AWESOME!
Excellent! We loved it. I think this was a first visit for all of us. We were greeted promptly and enjoyed a glass of wine before our whole party arrived. We were seated on time, excellent service and food. The price fix menu was good and we could order off the regular menu as well. The lobster bisque, I’m told, was unique and a bit unexpected. All the other things we ate were wonderful.
Extremely busy for Valentines.
Service was very good, however the kitchen seemed not quite up to the task.
The initial starter of a “Valentine’s special was less than impressive and the second course of lobster bisque was definitely short on sort of lobster taste/content or any endearing richness that had one savouring a spoonful. The very small serving cup was let 2/3 full.
The surf and turf main course of filet was perfectly delivered at medium rare. Very tender and tasty.
My wife ordered medium rare ahi that came out medium well and thus was a disappointment - rather than wait she endured.
Final desert was excellent.
So overall it was a 50/50 experience.
Great customer service..
Met a friend for lunch. Selections were good; grilled fish tacos was the special 2 of us selected. Salads were fresh. Only issue is the tables are too close together so kept getting bumped by staff and patrons. And the noise levels are very high.
Met with friends we hadn’t seen for 2 years .... it was fantastic!!
HARRISON WAS AMAZING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE... and had a great personality loved the pizza

The food took a long time to come out. This is the second time we have been there when the kitchen has been slow. Service was ok, quality of food excellent
Lobster potstickers were delicious!! The muffins and butter was great. I enjoyed my spinach omelet with fruit.

We had a table of 4 for friends that had not seen each other in 30 years. As you would expect, we held our table much longer than we should have and the servers could not have been nicer. Food was good, noise level quiet enough for a conversation. Thank you!
I was not pleased with my dining experience. Unlike previous visits which we enjoyed, I was disappointed this time. Even more so since we were celebrating three birthdays that evening.
The service was extremely slow. It seemed to take forever to receive our drink orders and to place any meal orders. Plus, my first two wine bottle selections were not in stock. The first recommended wine was not good either. It was the first time I have ever not accepted a bottle of wine. We had to ask for water refills, and again, it was a long wait to get the refills.
We were seated on the patio and much to our surprise, and displeasure, people were smoking. Cigarette smoke is not what we wanted to smell during our dinner.
After this last experience, I am not sure I would want to dine there again.
Front reception desk was overwhelmed at 12:45!
I had a reservation and 3 staff persons seemed as if they could not seat guests.
Food and waiter were-excellent.
Had to ask waiter for brunch menu which we did not receive with the regular menu.
Perhaps they need better organization

Service was subpar, food was even worse. Lacked flavor and not at all worth the prices they are charging. Restaurant is SO loud that you can’t hold a normal conversation, you have to yell to be heard. Especially when a server drops an entire tray of wine glasses directly next to your table and glass shatters everywhere. Would not recommend.

Waiter was pleasant and accommodating. Food was hot and tasty. My second time being there and I will definitely come back. Members of my party of eight enjoyed their food also. Will definitely tell friends and neighbors!!
The food was fantastic. Our waiter knew the menu items and specials, suggested a great cocktail (it was brunch so we had mimosas). Just wonderful. I had the Colorado Omelet, lots of heat. Awesome!

Four people. Two of the entrees were okay (buttermilk fried chicken salad, fried fish - slaw not good, looked wilted). Two of the entrees were not good at all (lobster quesadillas - no taste, tortilla not good, home made potato chips are not good), four cheese ravioli (tasted like Campbell's tomato soup out of a can, such a small amount of crab , why bother).
The drinks were better than the dinner.
John I am so sorry to hear about your lackluster experience at The Union Kitchen. I will be sharing this information with our Chef as well as our back of house staff. We pride ourselves on serving fresh and delicious dishes, we obviously fell short of our goal during your visit. Went for weekday lunch. Menu has changed substantially since my last visit (almost a year ago), and they no longer have the Asian Salad, so that was a bummer. First 3-4 menu pages are wines and drinks.
Had the special -- Caesar salad with popcorn shrimp, and it was plenty good, along with their lentil soup. Lunch partner had the Doris salad with Tomato bisque, both were good, though the blueberry vinaigrette was pretty intense. Great service (Devin). We'll be back.

We have a few guests who come in on a regular basis and we recreate certain off menu items. I frequently tell our patrons 'we built the restaurant for you!' I'm definitely not a fan of raw fish but I was trying to impress my gf on her birthday. We decided on the Lolo Hawaiian Tostada and it was fantastic.
I order the fish special of the day and gf ordered Pete's Filet. Both were fabulous. I had to order a side dish of hush puppies.
We love the chocolate birthday cake along with a candle and all.
Waiter was friendly as well as all the staff.
I think I made a great birthday dinner choice. GF was pleased and we will definitely go back.

Lobster potsticker appetizer was outstanding! Peppercorn tuna wasn’t great-no flavor, fettuccini Alfredo was very bland, drinks were great, dessert was great. Overall good place for a casual night out but there are definitely better restaurants.

Food mediocre. Overcooked. Served out if sequence. Waiter arrogant and forgetful. This was not our first time. May be the last.

Always a pleasure to come here. Good food. Good service. A little noisy that night, but otherwise everything was great as usual.
Food was served hot and was very good-service good-somewhat noisy
Had the steak special of the day. It was all fat and gristle, not up to the standards we are used to at union kitchen. Not edible. Terrible meat quality.
Rest of evening itself was great, service, ambiance, etc....but several of us had this meal selection and none of us ate even one half of it. Buy better ribeyes or don’t serve them is my suggestion.
Christmas Eve lunch! Was a great experience and the atmosphere was amazing!

We had the best experience. I have a severe food allergy and mentioned it to the server. Next thing I know, the manager comes out and tells me how the chef is aware and nothing will be cross contaminated. I have never had this happen before, and it meant the world. Everything else was perfect. We met friends and their kids for lunch. The servers were so attentive to make sure that everyone was taken care of. And the food...the food...I’m still thinking of that goat cheese polenta, which was part of the special.
It was relatively good. The food was average to good. My ribeye was not seasoned well. My guest’s meals were reportedly good. The wine was good and economical. However we could not have any deserts because they ran out!!
