This Restaurant is not what it used to be, its very dirty, sticky tables, the menu they gave us was dirty with souce, there is a door for emergency with a Blinds that are broken, they took too long to bring the food, the bathroom were really discusting (looks old) not clena the toilets were filty, I also saw a picure from the wall falling down on top of a client who was in line for the bathroom, the only good thing was our waitress who was very nice. I thiknk that because the Resraurant has not shown care on keeping it nice and clean the queality of the clientela has changed as well. The ambience was bad, not inviting.
Food is always great here. Brunch menu was no exception. The Bloody Mary’s are top notch. The patio was very load and service was slow.
Great location and the food is great. The desserts are to die for...ok maybe not to die for, but definitely the extra calorie intake.
Love Friday nights at the Union Kitchen! Great food, great service, and great singing/playing by Paul!
My husband and I spent Valentines Day here and it was our first experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and taken care of. The customer service was awesome and the food was outstanding.
Exceptional Valentine’s Day event
Food was excellent. The experience got even better with a good singer who entertained the evening
Very loud and the chairs in the patio are too short for the table
The food was great - the shrimp and crab egg rolls were to die for. However, it was SO loud we could barely hear each other across a small table. It was Valentine's Day, so I guess it was more crowded than usual, but we've been here before and the noise is usually an issue.
Nice local place to eat
It was a perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day! Loved sitting him t he patio with the guitarist.
I wanted to love it, but it was actually kind of meh. The entrance into the restaurant is incredibly awkward - one small door through the patio with the host stand inside the door...but it is also the only door out to the patio through which the servers deliver food to patio diners, so...constant traffic jams at the doorway while waiting to be seated. The hostess did not offer any menu aside from the brunch menu. There were possibly 20 tables counting inside and outside dining, and at least 5 servers milling about...but our server would disappear for lengthy periods of time between visits. The childrens' items came out quickly, which was appreciated, but it took some time for the adult orders to be processed because we waited about ten minutes to get the all-day dining menu and then that delayed our food delivery by another 10-15 minutes. Overall, it was just lackluster. Not bad, not great. If you keep your expectations low, it's a perfectly reasonable place to grab a nondescript meal.
We go every other Friday for the great Happy Hour and music. Why? because the food is really good, the service is really good, and the music is really good. Great restaurant!
ALWAYS great food and great service. Happy Hour is awesome!
We love Friday nights especially because of live music. Great guitarist and singer playing many. many classics.
The service was horrible. The food was cold and we always had to hunt down our waiter.
Good brunch, decent food with a ton of variety (which is why we like Union Kitchen).
Made a reservation. Was not honored. Staff could have cared less. Live in the neighborhood. Come in often but nobody cares. Need to learn what loyalty and service means.
Nothing better than sitting outside (a covered outside) listening to live music and eating great food. Great Happy Hour, great service as always, and a lot of fun for the family!
Great all around ! Thank you.
Great food and service. They have such an expansive menu so there will be something for everyone; and the service is always friendly.
New Year’s Eve get together
I was very disappointed. I had a very small wedge salad with the smallest amount of chicken for $15.00. The chicken was not good.
My son, on the other hand, got a chicken sandwich that he liked. My daughter got kids chicken tenders that she liked.
Had a great time! My co workers and I did our Secret Santa gift exchange and really enjoyed our whole experience. I got the corned beef benedict that comes with jalapeño cheddar grits and I couldn’t really taste the cheddar and they were a bit less than warm but I loved the atmosphere and our server.
Great Happy hour! Great service! Most importantly, great food! Friday night music is awesome. We're becoming Friday night groupies!
Good food, great service!
John and Collin definitely turned my day around. Great experience and will be back!
Took extended family of twelve. Service and food were great.
We always enjoy Union Kitchen on Bellaire. It is
A treat to have it as a neighborhood restaurant.
Always excellent. Good food, good service, good everything.
I was a bit disappointed in the Chicken Parmigiana due to a lack of seasoning. This Union Kitchen has lost some of its goodness. Perhaps there has been a change in chefs over the past few years.
loved it! great food and portions. service was good, I would go back
Food was great, mimosas were great....fun vibe and the customer service was over the top great.
Fun happy hour gathering at The Union Kitchen. Enjoyed $5 wines, 1/2 price small plates.
Awesome drinks, yummy food!
We had a business lunch that required a lot of discussion. Waiter was stopping by and checking as needed with limited interruptions. Excellent service, good food, quiet. Recommend.
Three couples met for Sunday brunch which we never before experienced at Union Kitchen. Not only was the food delicious, it was very well priced.
We asked for a quiet table and were accommodated by our request. Our server was wonderful and he and other staff were really attentive. We’ll definitely be back soon.
Great neighborhood place. They have redone their menu and updated some items while maintaining some local favorites. Great service. You will always get a good meal.
Really good food; great service. Bathrooms need a major cleaning.
