The Union Kitchen (Bellaire)
Awesome experience Rob along with the rest of his staff made it a great experience for my me and my family! Highly recommend.
Food and drink, and service, are always excellent at the UK. We are regulars because of their consistency and fun environment.
Jack is the greatest waiter on the face of the planet. The food is very tasty and the bar has a great selection of beers.
I was very underwhelmed by the entire experience. Usually, this is my go to "easy" brunch spot. Today, the service was slow during a seemingly slow brunch time. Half of our orders were wrong. We couldn't find our waiter to resolve the issue. I was also given mayonnaise when I requested sour cream, and ruined most of my meal. I was then told after the fact that they were out of sour cream. Not at all the usual brunch experience.
Great neighborhood place
There was a group of young girls from a soccer team that were squealing and yelling and keeping up so much noise it was difficult to hold the church fellowship lunch & meeting we were trying to have. Sorry, but we probably won't try your restaurant again for our annual fellowship luncheon. We were trying to stay in the location of the Nursing Home (Gardens of Bellaire) where we serve.
Attentive wait staff. Decent food. Not too crowded when we went for brunch on a Saturday.
The waitstaff at the Union Kitchen ( Bellaire) is so friendly and helpful.
I especially enjoy the salads and fish dishes .
Just one of our favorite neighborhood places still! Sat at the bar, arriving at 5 p.m. to have happy hour and dinner. Eric at the bar was our main man and took good care of us. Started with my favorite Craig’s Mexican Martini and the husband had a beer. As we are Loyalty Club members, we got an appetizer for half price. We love the Lolo Hawaiian Tostada. (Half price was $5!) Still continues to be our favorite appetizer. Zingy, too!
For dinner, I chose the Peggy’s Diver Scallops, also one of my favorites. Love the butternut squash risotto that take center stage with the scallops surrounding the risotto. My husband had the Braised Beef Short Ribs. (I did not have a bite that night, but ate a small portion of leftovers that we brought home and it was delicious! Served with mashed potatoes.)
As always, we will be back!!
Everything about it was great! The food & service was excellent.
Delicious fried Asparagus appetizer! Our entrees where hot, tasty, and came quickly. Server (John) was very attentive to our needs. An enjoyable and lingering evening.
Union Kitchen is a comfortable spot for a casual evening. The food is always good, and the service superb. If the weather is cooperating, side outside for some fresh air. Good variety of both drinks and food. I had the Red Fish and it was wonderful. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana and she really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!
Good day of week meal
Loved my lunch!! Robert was so welcoming, we sat
on the patio (which was refreshing!), and my salad was so fresh with great blackened shrimp on it.
I will definitely return.
My love and I had a great time! Delicious food , great drinks
and we caught the end of a football playoff game - Eagles upset win over the Bears!
Good food. Great service. John did an outstanding job serving us.
If you like comfort food... this is the place for you; however, I did find one "healthy" option but paid $24 for a small piece of salmon that only came with a few sprigs of asparagus.
Union Kitchen Bellaire never disappoints! we love this place.
I love my girl and WE love dining here. This was a perfect Christmas season date!
Love the fresh fish and salads!!
Patio seating was tight and loud. Food was lackluster. Such a disappointment compared to their Sunday brunch.
Great business lunch to celebrate the end of the year. As always, the food was exceptional.
Our service was slow to start but it did improve. The food was great!
Our waiter was outstanding! Everything flowed at a good pace. We had a great meal and a wonderful time.
We recently had dinner on a quiet Monday night. Since the restaurant wasn't crowded, we had no trouble with parking and we had excellent service. On a busy night, I can see how parking would be a challenge. The lot closest to the restaurant does not allow Union Kitchen customers to park. The other parking is small and difficult to access or directly on Bellaire Blvd. which can be challenging. But aside from the parking issues, it's a great place for good food and good service. We shared a couple of small plates and some pizzas and the total cost was quite reasonable for wine and food. All in all, it was a very nice evening and I would definitely return.
I found this gem last year when I was looking for a good place for a holiday celebration with friends. The employees are sooo nice, the go above and beyond. We weren’t sure on appetizers so they brought us 3 to the table free of charge..who does that?!? We have been back atleast once a month since last December and have always had a great experience. Brunch is also great, good deal on mimosas and a large brunch menu. Would recommend and do recommend this place to people all the time
It was quite enjoyable to run by the Union Kitchen after church for Sunday brunch. Even at the last minute, they were able to seat us quickly and the brunch menu is excellent.
Great happy hour!
Our time spent eating and drinking at Union Kitchen is always a pleasure. Such a great neighborhood spot!
My food was horrible, especially the eggs. It all came out cold and the manager had to redo my waffle. I was disappointed, or waiter Nicole wasn't attentive and was rude when we had questions about the menu. It was disappointing.
Thank you to the manager for trying to correct all that was wrong but it really left me disappointed overall.
Very good menu very reasonably priced. Food that varied enough to satisfy everyone's tastes.
Love this restaurant, we come here 3 times a week, great music on weekends!
Jack the bartender makes you feel special.
Parking is terrible. Difficult to get to and your car will be towed if you park in the parking just to the West of the building.
I really appreciate the GM helping to accommodate my growing table. We started with 6 & it grew to 12. Had to play musical tables due to they were super packed but the GM was so kind about it & he kept us laughing with his wonderful sense of humor. Will definitely return.
Great service for our party of 6 with 2 children. Hostess was the best! Eric also was great. Always great
The food was terrible. No one in our party liked their dishes. My pizza was ok. I have found that this restaurant is best for breakfast and that’s it.
Was fantastic as always!
Always excellent! Food and service are great! Jack at the bar is the best and Rob the manager is tops!!!
Union Kitchen was good as usual. Great food, in the neighborhood and usually no wait during the week.
The food was good as we all enjoyed our dishes. Our server, Rene, did not seem inviting. He seemed to just go through the motions of serving us and was only slightly attentive to our needs. He split our bill's incorrectly, but added on a 20% gratuity to our group of 7. I would have given less if it were my choice. I would go back again and hope for a better experience.
