Love the sharing of food....brought in more conversation and laughs with my wife of 28 yrs. We really enjoyed ourselves. The portions were perfect. We left satisfied, but not full. Our palette was overwhelmed from appetizers to entre'. The service was great and not the scripted way....genuine. We will return.
We were there before any music started. We would go again. Food was good and service was good also.
I was seated with a very large and loud party that made it really difficult to think. Also, it was so dark I couldn’t read the menu.

Get the chef’s tasting! Totally worth the bang for your buck, and you get to have a little bit of everything on the menu. The service was lovely, and the server made us feel like we were the only people there even though it was a packed house.
We just moved to Philadelphia at the beginning of February and my parents took us here for a pre-Valentine's celebratory meal. We opted not to get the Chef's Tasting because it would have been a lot of food for my fairly picky parents but we did order the KY ham, cheese plate (the "saint simons??? - I can't remember the full name - was to die for), chorizo taco, shrimp and grits, short rib, shishito peppers, and the beignets. The whole meal was wonderful, though the short rib lacked a bit of seasoning for my taste. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and family who are visiting Philadelphia!

The Twisted Tail's bar area upstairs has a live Blues Jam, with dancing area, every Sunday evening. We went for this, and also entertained out of town acquaintances with dinner at the long back tables in this area. The music makes for a high sound level, but the food is great and includes the full menu of the restaurant, and it is a fun time. Highlights were the fried chicken, mussels, and the bourbon butterscotch pot de creme.
