   We attended Thanksgiving dinner last year and it was so good we returned this year. The restaurant did not disappoint us. The food, the service were excellent. Thank. you again for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

   We liked this place the few times we came for late night dinners. It just wasn’t great for Thanksgiving. Actually, that’s being kind. The turkey was dry. The stuffing was dry. The yams were tough. I asked for salt and gravy. I got the salt a half hour later and the gravy never came. The 4 inch “pie” was served in a to-go box (made us feel like we weren’t welcome to stay and have coffee) and there were two for four people. The filling in the pumpkin pie was the same thickness as an iPhone. It was more like a cookie. The pastry so tough that you couldn’t cut it. We broke it in half and ate it like a cookie. There were three types of pies to choose from. But since you had to split this tiny “pie” with someone, (seriously… a Tasty Cake pie size) four of us could only choose between two. In short, for a reservation before 1:00 there was ZERO excuse for this.

   We were celebrating a milestone event and looking for an intimate restaurant with excellent food. The small plates and cocktails at The Twisted Tail were phenomenal. We sampled numerous meat and vegetable dishes. None of them were disappointed. Someone in our party (who will remain nameless) wanted to lick his braised short rib plate. Our server was attentive and came back quickly with answers to any questions. We were excited to enjoy some live music with dinner. It was sometimes difficult to carry on a conversation from our table close to the bar, but I'll take it for the opportunity to support live musicians.

    Amazing experience and we were able to actually try their food tasting menu that doesn’t constrain us with choices. The lady at the bar was sweet and friendly. The ambiance was amazing too. I highly recommend the mac and cheese. A must visit.

    Booked for my birthday. Food is excellent always. However, we had the worst service imaginable. I came here 5 years ago for another birthday of mine and it was wonderful. This time, not so good. Server was barely attentive, no one took the time to put drinks in front when dropping, they slammed them on the end of the table. My husband asked to have a special birthday set up for dessert. They slammed donuts in front of me and ran away. No happy birthday, no thanks for celebrating here, no candle, nothing. Manager never came over to see how it was. Drink took 30 mins. I managed to get two in a 4 hour period. It was awful. Quick bite no special event type restaurant. Won’t be back. Wouldn’t have tipped her much. Unfortunately they added gratuity automatically. Beyond awful. She was also rude, wouldn’t explain things. Not sure what else to say.

    There’s live music which was nice but made conversation difficult, very loud. Food was good. Service was delayed because they seemed short staffed but overall nice and good food!

    Extremely special occasion that we noted when making the reservation, and it was not acknowledged by the hostess or server even once. We had an incredible experience when we hosted an event at Twisted Tail last year, and were disappointed to see that the impeccable service, drink and food quality, and staff kindness has notably diminished.

    The Sunday Blues Jam is a real treat. Will go back with friends. Lamb chop lollipops were perfectly prepared. Nice menu selection., food and drink.

    As much as I liked the location and the inside of the restaurant, it was too dark and noisy (but I am a baby boomer!). The food was bland, and for the cost (very expensive!), the portions were so small I was hungry after an appetizer and entree. The server was very friendly and attentive, however.

    I went to Twisted Tail for restaurant week. One word to describe the food: Tastilicious!!! 😊 The ambience was pretty chill as well. This restaurant is a must on your list of places to eat.

    My gf and I were greeted as soon as we walked and were seated within seconds, as we had reservations. The ambiance was great, service was great, and the food was delicious and came out in a timely fashion. This was our first time dining here, but we will definitely be back.

    Our table was ready when we arrived. Food and service were excellent. There was a band playing when we got there, so it was a bit loud. But it was a weekend evening, we had a 9 pm dinner reservation, and the band sounded good! So, the noise level is less of a criticism and more a statement of fact. Would come back here again.

    I visited for Restaurant week and maybe that was the problem. The wait staff was very nice and quick to drop off or pick up a plate. The food however was not so good. Everything was consistently underseasoned. It seemed like perhaps the kitchen staff was not tasting dishes before plating them. The menu had tons of potential for big flavor, but the dishes fell short. The crawfish mac n cheese was dry and the crawfish chewy and overcooked. The wings had a lovely rub, but the meat was so dry it took many plunges into the dill ranch to get it down. The fried chicken had a beautiful crust but had zero taste. The dredge is one of the easiest places to up the flavor game, but it just didn't happen. The hanger steak was nicely cooked (medium) and had a lovely cilantro sauce, the one flavor-packed item of the night. The sauce was bright, fresh, and full of herbaceous goodness. The one highlight of the meal was the salad. It was crisp and had a wonderful vinaigrette. I know restaurant week is a busy and hectic time with quick table turnover and an abbreviated menu, but it is also an opportunity to bring in new dinners and showcase your food to people who might otherwise pass it by.

    Came in for Restaurant Week prior to a concert and had a wonderful dinner. Twisted Tail is one of the first places I’ve been that still offers up “normal” portion sizes for all their restaurant week portions, instead of the smaller plates. The $40 per person for four courses, because of this, was an exceptional value. Great drinks, great food, great atmosphere. Love this neighborhood spot!

    Our restaurant week meal was delicious, everything made to perfection. The service was so quick and friendly. The hostess even offered to move us if the live musicians set up next to our table were too loud. We will definitely be back!
