Was in for a romantic weekend in Tarrytown. My girlfriend found the restaurant on Yelp with a number of positive reviews. The front room offered a guitarist playing which was nice on a Sunday night. Had the cheese sampler as an appetizer. It came with toasted bread, which the table had already received. Maybe crispy crackers might have been a better way to go. The cheese portions were very small and one of them was runny. Entrees were much, much better. She had the short ribs and I had the pork chop. Finished with bread pudding which was excellent. Added a couple Maker's Manhattans. Excellent pour and presentation. The service was good overall, though our young male server often got lost in a room which seemed manageable. The bartender checked on us and actually took our dessert order. Some might see the menu as pricey, but thought the value was there. BTW, their website is very well put together and offers a fair rendering of the establishment.
Sunday brunch with friends. Great menu. Great cocktails. Friendly staff. Casual, but not noisy.
Appetizers, especially cheese and pickles, were tasty. White wine was great value, kept chilled and poured attentively.
Duck lasagna was dry and overcooked, entree duck was very good though. Striped bass was a sad plate, the sides were so salty had to return them. Freshly made sides were provided but they tasted the same, and manager did not check back on us.
Overall ok value and may come back for drinks and appetizers.
Lovely - we love this restaurant and are regulars- the only quibble is the food is sometimes too heavily salted ...
Amazing food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be going back.
Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Rivertowns. From the welcome at the door until the end of the meal, we just love this restaurant. Excellent, creative food. Locally sourced. Beautifully presented. Knowledgeable, friendly people. Craft cocktails are a real treat. And both the meat-eater and vegetarian are happy here.
The overall experience was superb. Ate early at 6 and chose to sit at the bar. Had starters of truffled roasted chickpea, sun chokes and octopus. Fabulous and bread was fresh crusted country bread and was among best I have had. Had wines by the glass and each was quite good and unique with solid pours and low prices. (10-12).
Table ware was pottery crafted by the bartender Conner and was lovely. Chef stopped and chatted us up leading to a fun casual atmosphere.
I will highly recommend to all my ny friends to come visit this gem.
This was my second time dining at Twisted Oak. Great farm to table restaurant. Everything from appetizers to desserts was absolutely delicious.
It was an amazing meal from beginning to end. It was amongst the top three in recent memory; one of which was in Rome, Italy.
Food was amazing!!!
