The Twisted Fork
Excellent as usual. Great service and wonderful dinner.
Good food and great service. Easy to make reservations on line.
Very good food with very good service. A bit pricey but all in all a good place to eat
This establishment used to be a 4 star joint in all aspects. It is not any longer.
Twisted Fork is our go to for great food and service. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our favorite neighborhood resturant.
Never grow tired of the fork. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food and staff.
Food was great. Service was good. Restaurant is kinda plain
We feel comfortable coming back to The Twisted Fork--we can depend on good food.
Good call making a reservation because this place was packed on Friday night. Short wait for a comfortable booth for four and service was very good. Halibut special on dry side, salmon beautiful, but my friend had trouble getting a little cheese for her tacos, go figure! Otherwise everything else really good, just wish waiters would stop asking “do you need change?” When they pick up the check. Very tacky. All in all, nice dining experience.
Service is usually good. The flank steak is an amazing entree.
Twisted Fork is our go to restuarant. Their fish specials are always outstanding. Great service and friendly staff.
Considering the reviews and photos, I was surprised by the casual family restaurant-like decor. But the cuisine did not disappoint and the service was great. Scorpion Buffalo Wings and Tiger shrimp tamal were flavorful and the salads, short rib, and flank steak were fresh, well-seasoned, and well-prepared. Server was very nice and very attentive. For great food in a casual environment, I’d definitely recommend.
Very good service and friendly staff ,diner was very tasty
Bartender made a great Lemon drop. Salads were delicious. I ordered the flank steak, my husband the NY. Both were very tough. For over $30 each, I expected better. Food was served promptly, but didn't see much of the waitress after.
Good food, nothing special. Pretty cramped and loud. Limited menu.
Awesome place for a romantic night the waiter checked on us frequently he was friendly as well it did not take long for the food to come out after ordering and the drinks were outstanding defintly would come back and definitely would recommend this place to anyone.
Great for a lunch meeting. Get a booth for meetings.
The food was good, but we were overcharged on our credit card and then our card number was used on Deal Dash before we even got home! This is the second time our card got hacked after going to Twisted Fork so we will either pay cash or go somewhere else next time! The owners may want to change to an “at the table” check out instead of having their customers get hacked.
Great food and service! Waitress was very knowledgable about the menu, specials, wine.
One if my favorite places in Reno. Great food and great service. I have never had a bad experience here
One of the best specials that I've had here in months. A large, tender Berkshire chop, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Large sides of jasmine rice and roasted Brussel sprouts. Excellent dish. I'd love to see it on the regular menu. True Myth cab was an excellent pairing.
Twisted Fork almost gets it right. It strikes me that their entrees are quite over priced for what they are. I had the Mahi Mahi special of the day which was $38. It came with a workmanlike salad. The pureed yam was good. The fish size was relatively small. I fell into the old restaurant trick which is to tell you about the special but not the price. It always is awkward to then ask the price but the restaurant relies on that.
Overall, it was an adequate meal but nothing to write home about.
The menu has some nice choices and the food is very good! I had the lamb gnocchi and it was excellent.
Staff were flexible when I needed to change my table reservation time (work meeting ran late).
Server was personable and took time to answer menus questions even though it was a busy time. We did not feel rushed.
Food was a bit heavy.
Even though we did not visit the bar, it looked interesting & inviting.
Great steak vegetable soup. Just wished the Sticky Pork Ribs were optioned as a dinner course.
It was a great family friendly dinner. Great place to catch up with friends.
I think the chef must have changed from the last time we were there. The steaks ordered rare and medium rare came out uniformly medium (light pink in the center, no juice). They were dry and tasteless. We used to come for the cowboy ribeye, which was always cooked properly. That item is not on the menu any longer, and the N.Y. strip steaks were not cooked anywhere as well. The skewer of grilled vegetables came out all burnt.
Great dinner, very creative menu. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. Especially loved the cauliflower ceviche and lamb gnocchi.
We arrived about 15 min early for our reservation and got seated right away even though the party before us was told that there was a 20 min wait.
Will definitely go back!
A wonderful, inventive restaurant. The fugal shrimp tamal rules.
Amazing food; the service was great as well.
We chose the restaurant at random, and expected something much different. What a pleasant surprise. The lively, loud bar area is sequestered by walls & windows from the dining area so you can see there’s activity but it doesn’t impinge on your dining. A really nice, simple, practical touch.
Our server was a delight, and we both thought he was a seasoned pro. Polite, directive, flexible, and attentive. Combine that was some really well-made dishes, and it was such a nice evening that we made a note to make it a regular stop.
It’s a little pricey, so it’s a splurge, but there are plenty of places where an upper level price tag isn’t worth it - not here. You want them to be capitalized properly so they can continue to provide nice meals in a pleasant setting.
A special thanks to Angela our server, who patiently let us sit at the table for a very leisurely lunch with an out of town friend. I finally got a chance to try the chopped BLTA salad and was an excellent choice. I would need more at dinner, but a perfect lunch. Everything super fresh. My friend's chicken sandwich was also a hit. The coffee presentation was also a nice touch to close out the meal.
Love the name of this restaurant! The service was really great and everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely go back!
We enjoyed a fantastic NYE dinner. Our server, Joel, was excellent. We enjoyed all of the food, including some of the specials. We will definitely return when in Reno!
Great service and outstanding food. The food and service are consistently very good here.
Food was very good. We hit happy hour and enjoyed the cauliflower ceviche and hummus plate followed by the Asian salad. Our friends had the shrimp pasta dish and soup and salad. Beers were great. We finished with cocktails in the bar. The poet drinks are awesome. Would definitely go again. Could use more sound absorbing furniture but it’s a fun place.
Consistently good. Wait staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Ceasar salad is always fresh, and love mushroom raviolis. Good selection of wine, beer, spirits. Fun appetizers.
We're regulars and were recently VERY disappointed with everything. OK, 2 days after Christmas and for that (only) I'd cut them some slack.
Service was awful, food was not up to par and the overall experience was far below normal. Both of the regular managers were there - with a scowl on their faces - and only a handful of the regular servers. If staffing was their issue, they'd have done better by staying closed!
I'd give them another shot - but finis if that one isn't spot on.
We were ushered out of there in less than 40 minutes ...rushed out of like fast food restaurant the menu was nothing special to celebrate Christmas Eve ... we couldn’t even finish our bottle of Prosecco since they turned off lights and closed blinds before 3:30 pm .... sad Christmas Eve dinner and I had reservations from last week at 2:30 pm for 3 generations my daughter, my mom & I .... server was not overly friendly either !!!! Big disappointment ... not a good choice for a Christmas Eve celebration 😢😢😢
This place seems like it could be so much better. The food is fair, service spotty, and ambiance lacking anything interesting. Since I live ten minutes away, I wish they would either hire somebody to make it a special place, or sell it to somebody that would make it so.
