The Twisted Fork
Notating a booth or patio seating for your reservation is a request and can not be guaranteed. We will do our absolute best to accommodate. Our seating of parties are solely based on availability.
Wonderful and delicious as always. A favorite.
The service and food was outstanding. We sat in the back room and it was very noisy and loud. I was hoping to sit outside, but due to the heavy winds, we were not able to and were put in the back room. As I walked thru the main dining area, it didn't seem to be as loud. I would definitely come back and recommend The Twisted Fork, but not be seated in the back room. Thank you.
Excellent food. Good service. A little pricey but ambiance and location made it worth it.
Great menu!!! Dessert was great and the dessert wine menu was nice.
Consistently always great food with top notch service. The tiger shrimp tamal is a must
Great to be back going strong . Food and service were awesome.
Great salads and with a boost of protein - more than enough for a meal. Finished the Thai salad with salmon for lunch today - so nicely prepared that it was still fresh and tasty. My husband's roasted vegetable salad with seared ahi gone within minutes. Excellent service we were in and out in about 40 minutes - we were hungry and the service incredibly fast.
One of my favorite places to eat for many years. This restaurant is consistently great. Highly recommend.
Our son and his girlfriend came down from Portland. Their plane was late so we had to change our Saturday reservations to Sunday. AS it was Memorial Day weekend most restaurants were booked. But. Twisted Fork had availability. Having had great food, service and a fun time in the past I thought it would be a fun choice.
We arrived on time and were seated at a booth, we were not offered a full wine list, which I believe the hostess should have asked if we want one when she sat us down. Once I realized we did not have one I asked for one, after quite a while she did bring us a list. Upon, by this time we had our appetizers. We went through three requests for wine and each time over several minutes, they did not any of the wines I wanted. Now we have our salads! The manager came to our rescue and suggested a wine that was similar to the one I wanted and gave us a discount on the wine for all the trouble.
Finally, with our wine glassed in hand, our entrees in front of us we began to eat. My husband had the sole piccata he thought it was okay, my stepson had the short ribs and said they were okay, his girlfriend had the bucatini with shrimp, she enjoyed her dish I had the New York steak it had quite a bit of fat on it, now this seems to be the case in some restaurants, the peppercorn sauce was very good served with a vegetable skewer and mashed potatoes which wer a little dry for my taste.
We enjoyed the appetizers the most: hummus with pita bread, couliflower ceviche and thr ravioli. These all had a bit of a twist to them.
If we go back again in the far future I hope the service, the wine list and the food will have improved by then.
Good eating to you who read this review!
Always enjoy the food, wine, beer and service. Outdoor dining area is nice. Concrete floors add a little to the noise factor but not in a major way. Tiger Shrimp Tamal and Beet Salad are super. We’ve visited often and appreciate the consistency of the food preparation. Will be back again and will always recommend to others.
Food was good. A BBQ burger and salmon burger and both were prepared fine.
Even though I made reservations through OpenTable, and requested a preference for patio seating, the hostess said there was only full sun seating in the patio. However, there were at least three tables with umbrellas that were unoccupied. Perhaps those tables had reservations, too. For us apparently, having a reservation did not mean we could get an available patio table.
When shown preference to another indoor table, we were offered a half-booth by the kitchen/bathroom entrance and exit. I suggested a table by the window, and the hostess said that was available, but coming around the corner there was a large birthday party occupying two tables. The hostess should have said "You know, there's a large party in that area. Do you still want to be seated there?" Or even because some tables were blocked off due to social distancing, the hostess could have said the table was unavailable due to social distancing. My expectation on a Sunday afternoon is a relatively quiet meal. I understand that parties happen, but there were many open tables we could have been seated at other than the half-booth next to the bathroom or adjacent to a large birthday party. The reason I make reservations is to secure a better table.
Again, I understand parties, and seating people based on staffing levels, but with so many obviously open tables both on the patio and inside (independent of the tables blocked for social distancing), I was disappointed to be seated where we were. Since I had already objected twice to offered seating (full sun patio or half-booth next to the bathroom), I did not want to object again. I will say I did almost suggest to my dining partner that we go else where.
I was a little bummed that the impossible burger is gone from the menu I would love to see a few more vegetarian/vegan options
Overall we enjoyed our lunch, our server was polite and our food was served promptly and was delicious.
The food was excellent. The sole and salmon dishes were perfectly cooked. One person in our party was vegetarian and there were plenty of choices for her. Serve was polite and attentive. We will be back.
One of the best outdoor dining experiences in Reno.
We love Twisted Fork and go there often. The patio is the best seating and the food and drinks are always delicious!
Consistently great food! Music is not to my taste but then I am an old guy.
Was not aware of this gem. Glad to have discovered it through word of mouth from friends since we come to Reno often from Gardnerville. Is there a reason there is no sign on the RC Willey side? I was surprised as we would have seen it much sooner. Ambiance was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the staff was very pleasant.
A unique and varied menu of excellent choices. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. The food came quickly and was hot and delicious.
A nice experience. Only a short wait for our reserved table. Server was patient while we chatted before ordering. Everyone was pleased with their meals.
Excellent early dinner and we got the happy hour specials. Great value! Food was delicious, service was attentive, a great evening!
Great experience - friendly, professional service that is so welcoming. The cheesy broccoli soup was superb. Large chunks of fresh broccoli and the perfect blend of cheese. Soups here are always well prepared. The mini tacos are a perfect meal with the cup of soup. My husband's grilled veggie salad with the addition of ahi - also excellent. It is back to our "go to" spot after sitting at home for a year.
Nice day to have lunch on the patio and the fish and chips was excellent.
Carla was amazing! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun! Will definitely go back and ask for her!
Another great meal and service! Very happy to have found The Twisted Fork. It is one of Reno’s best!
Would definitely go back, food and service was excellent. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Quality of food was excellent. Next time I would prefer to NOT sit at the tables in the center of the room as you enter the restaurant! Please😊
Great food and outstanding service made for a very satisfying experience.
Predictably awesome. The back of the house never lets the front of the house down.
Food was excellent. Small plates are still big enough to share. NY steak was great. Short ribs were awesome. Bread pudding was pretty good as was the sorbet. Service was a little slow. You would have thought server would be a little more attentive to a table of 4 that had a bill of over $200!
Manda was a great server and was kind and polite and so was the rest of the staff. Fish and chips were fantastic! Loved this place and can’t wait to go again.
Mother’s Day. Service was great food was good. Wine was delicious
Came for Mother’s Day and sat out on patio. All in attendance enjoyed their meals and the service was great. Really enjoyed the outdoor space and Mountain view. We usually eat in the downtown/midtown area and this was a nice change. Will go back.
The waitress talked way too fast.
The menu was a mass of fancy, exotic sounding foods and spices, most of which I had not even heard of before. I had not had a salmon burger before, and it was bland and did not taste like salmon to me.
First time eating at the Twisted Fork. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Our waitress was very friendly and gave excellent recommendations on the drink menu. The food was flavorful and I was satisfied. Good size portions and the blueberry margarita was delicious!
Fantastic diverse menu. Great service and quality. Love this restaurant.
Always a nice experience to dine on the patio at The Twisted Fork. The food is always excellent but still wish they would bring back the potato empanadas to the menu. We dine here at least a couple of times a month during patio compatible weather.
The Thai salad was superb! This was our first visit but it certainly will not be our last.
The perfect place for our lunch crew.
Food is always good but the service was exceedingly slow- maybe not enough help? We sat outside but would have appreciated the heat lamps that were just inside the door
Food was delicious. Service excellent.
