It is rare to find quality dining in small towns, but this is one of those exceptions. Excellent food, in a unique historic hotel.

E made a 9:30 brunch reservation. We arrived about 15-20 minutes early since we had a 60 minute drive. When we arrived we were told that there was no 9:30 reservation because the kitchen was closed. Why weren’t we forewarned others in advance? We were told we’d have to wait until 10. They were able to serve us the basic breakfast, not the brunch we booked. It cost a fortune. With coffee (no refills) we spent over $60 on two basic breakfast and one cup of coffee each. The Turquoise Room has always been our favorite restaurant, 3-4 times a year, with the drive. I it has lost its charm, history and ambiance. We are very disappointed.

Shrimp and pasta dish was fresh, with vibrant colors, harmonizing textures and perfectly seasoned with just enough spice. Wine pairing suggestion was spot on. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. The experience was delightful and they accommodated my service dog. Prices are reasonable. I plan to return to try other items on the menu.

Good Food. Cool to watch the trains go by and our server was super nice and helpful. $125 for two for food of this caliber is a bit much, but it was worth it for one time visit.

Loved our experience at the Turquoise Room! Combines excellent food, richly historic feel, and welcoming and gracious service. Do not pass up the squash blossoms, signature soup, or mushroom starter. We ate there two nights and enjoyed every bite. And save room for desserts! Don’t miss this stop.
