Consistently Good! Very well executed food and well selected wines. One of our top places to eat in the Woodbridge area. Looking forward to our next visit. Nice to see you Sol!

I have been twice now, first for lunch with a friend. We both had the curry which was excellent. However, although it was a Wednesday the restaurant was full and only one waitress so we waited a good half an hour before she even came to take our order. However, she had a reasonable explanation and once the order was taken the delicious food arrived swiftly, and the service thereafter was excellent. As a result we came last week with my family for my eldest son's birthday. Waitresses aplenty this time ensured very good service; the food was again delicious. We love the colour of the dining room and the art.

Lovely venue, excellent food, highly recommend. Just a bit short on the staff front, they were brilliant but looking after a lot of people. Sure that will adjust with time though.

Visited for first time with my wife and two friends for Sunday lunch. Ambiance was good and greeting service excellent. This pub has had an impressive face lift and it is really good to have another quality eatery in the environs of Woodbridge (we walked there). However, the food slightly let it down and certainly my expectations weren't met. I had black pudding scotch egg to start which was superb but was less than half an egg which was disappointing. The game stew looked and tasted bland (dumplings were great though) and I'm not sure we were served the correct vegetables. My friends roast beef, whilst looking good was tough. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful but it was only her second day and she had definitely not been trained adequately for a gastro pub. We will definitely give this pub another try just to see whether we caught an off day but on this experience it could do a lot better

We ate here for new years eve Dec 2015, so it was a special set menu, for £60 per person. I was initially a bit apprehensive about the price, however once the food started arriving, the price was totally justified. The food was fantastic, from the canapés to dessert! Flavours, cooking of it, presentation. We were totally full by the end, and couldn't even manage the coffee and biscuits. The only thing I would suggest is where the door to the kitchen opens into the dining area, the light in the kitchen is extremely bright, compared to the low light level ambience, so the door constantly opening slightly ruins the romantic chilled out vibe trying to be a achieved. I would suggest a filter is put on the portal window of the door, so the kitchen light is softened when the door is closed. And also moving the tables directly opposite the door over to one side a bit, so they are not in full view of the light. Apart from this the service was wonderful , and our waitress very attentive and polite. The pub building itself is very lovely from outside and in, and all in all I would recommend a visit.

Remembering the old Turks Head the building is a big improvement, parking is easy with a well lit area. Although of course it has lost some of it's character but that is to be expected with a new build. The dinning room is pleasant and interesting, the food reasonable but not outstanding, service again was reasonable with just about an acceptable delay between courses but we had some difficulty in reordering drinks at the table. The main complaint is the cost,as a dinning experience it was expensive and we did not feel it was value for money. We will not be returning until the prices are reduced to that of equal restaurants in the area.
