The Trophy Room
Our stellar service, appealing ambience, and inclusive demographic make us a go-to for anyone looking for a memorable experience. We are one of the very few bars in the South End open until 2AM every night, so even if you can only make it for last call, it's worth the visit.
It was so quiet for a drag race viewing party. I was disappointed
The Trophy Room is not worthy of a culinary trophy. Food was average at best. Regardless of what you order sriracha is drizzled on the plate. This is an issue for those who dislike hot sauces and a serious problem for those with allergies and/or dietary restrictions. Service was okay and we never checked on once we received our meals.
They unfortunately only had one server working on a Saturday night. The food was very good, the drinks were so so- especially given the reviews from other visitors. They had loud club music playing at 7:30...
Overall very nice Ambience, vibe, ample portions of food prepared well Some items not available
Would recommend to others
Good beer selection but pizza so so. We got a fig pizza, it was supposed to have prosciutto but there was barely any and mist important it was cooked in the oven therefore it lost all the flavor
Really fun atmosphere. Great service and good bar food (surprisingly). Very friendly, local crowd.
Awesome service, great spot!
Food was great (and big portions!), but the service was lacking. Long wait times, wrong orders brought to the table, etc. Likely would go back for drinks and food at the bar.
Did they turn back to being just another loud bar? Music was blaring, food was mediocre
Great food and great service!
Honestly. This was not at all what I was expecting. This place got great reviews. From the pictures, it looked like a great place to relax and eat some good food, drinks and have some great conversation. We walked in and were immediately blasted by club music. It was 4:30 in the afternoon. We asked for a table furtherest away from the main bar, hoping it would be quieter. The tables are nice. The seats were comfortable, but the blaring club music really killed the atmosphere. The food was average to good. But not at all what I expected after seeing the online pictures. We ordered three different dishes. One was the burger. I believe for what you get, it’s a bit overpriced. With all the other places in the area, we probably would go to a different place with what we experienced.
Very affordable for the amount of food you get, service could have been a touch better but friendly.
Great lgbt space!
Food was dried out and lacked flavor; disappointing.
Went here with friends visiting from Switzerland and Finland and the food was amazing. I have been wanting to try this place out since it opened but just never got around to it. Everyone in my party said their food was delicious. Would definitely be back. I want to check out brunch.
No water once seated for 20 minutes, the manager whom always wears this stripped sweater noticed and didn't think to greet or find the server. Once the server finally arrived she filled the glass next to mine but not mine in which I was the only guest at the table..weird. Bloody Mary's were gross, food was ok but nothing to write home about. Step it up.
Streak was chewy and hard too eat. Server seemed unaware of beer selection. As we walked in at 9:15 the host or maybe it was a bartender barked <kitchen closed at 10>. With that lovely greeting I wish we had just walked out.
Worked with the host to move the reservation to 30min later than originally planned. Very nice server. Fun evening for us
Went for dinner after attending local art event on a Saturday night. Bar was hopping and noisy, but dinner seating enough removed to be comfortable for conversation. Service was amiable and helpful with frequent check-ins to see how we were enjoying the meal. Shrimp tempura dish was delicious! Also shared curry chicken empanadas. Perfect dessert - limoncello parfait!
Service was excellent, though a little slow on a busy Saturday. I ordered the homemade chicken noodle soup (excellent!) and a steak and shrimp entree special. I asked for the steak temperature to be "medium well." The steak was extremely overdone, completely black and charred on the exterior and dry on the inside. The kitchen quickly remade the entree. This time, the steak came out well done but at least edible. Next time, I'm ordering Medium.
Good go to chill spot. The poke bowl had the biggest pieces of tuna I've ever seen! And good cocktails
Our experience at trophy room started off poorly. We reserved a 10:45am slot for Sunday and upon arrival it turned out that the restaurant didn't open until 11. I was annoyed that open table offered a time slot before opening especially because it was freezing out and we stood there waiting while the waiter saw us outside shivering. I would have appreciated them checking their reservations and checking with us so we weren't outside the whole time. The host was also not very responsive to my complaint about the situation once we were let in and his "compensation" for the mistake was we could sit anywhere in the empty restaurant we wanted. Gee, thanks. The food itself was delicious (I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the fish sandwich) and the bloody Mary's were good though I wouldn't be able to drink more than one.
We were attending the theatre at the Calderwood Pavilion. The Trophy Room was a 5 minute walk to the theatre and were able to find on-street parking. The portions were generous and the food was great. Not a long menu, but the four of us were happy, including the vegetarian.
We will definitely return.
I usually go to the Trophy Room for drinks after work but had dinner the other night and was totally delighted. So much so that I went back a week later to have the same shrimp and pasta dish again. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is never a wait for a table but the bar area gets lively into the evening. The Trophy Room is a particularly good value for the price point.
Open table allowed me to make an 8 am reservation for a breakfast meeting with colleagues on a Friday morning. On our arrival the restaurant was closed. It was humiliating and we had to scramble to find another location for breakfast. Please fix this issue!!
Always have the greatest experience at The Trophy Room. The food and service is amazing, and the crowd is always great too!
The food was pretty good, a nice Brunch menu, and the bartenders and servers were so much fun!
Overall, the value was awesome.
Good place for a fun, yummy brunch on a Saturday or Sunday.
As always everything was great.
Great service and Vanessa (the hostess and our server) was phenomenal. The rest of the staff was extremely pleasant as well.
Bloody Mary was average or below to be honest but rest everything was spot on.
The menu has changed and is not a great brunch menu. I had the avocado bruschetta and it was awful The bread was hard as a rock; the poached egg was overcooked. It was slow and yet the service was slow. Wouldn’t go back, it used to have a decent t brunch
Fun and flirty.
We needed to find a place for dinner after a show in the South End and made an OpenTable search on short notice. We thought the Trophy Room looked like it was the right combination of good food, casual, and fun. We were not disappointed by the choice -- it turned out to be an excellent meal and very friendly service. The restaurant is pretty loud, but not so much so that it would make conversation difficult. The host and server were both very friendly. We would recommend the restaurant to others and are likely to go back.
Great neighborhood place. Really good food, beer, and service. Will definitely return.
Great food & drinks!
Meals didn't come out as requested and when a special was ordered and questions asked regarding the sides the answer from the server turned out to be wrong and nothing was offered to remedy it. A burger ordered with no sauce and medium came out well done with sauce so overall not the best
We ate here prior to attending a concert. Menu had a good choice of items, food was good, drinks were nice, service was friendly and quick. There is a nice bar and a fair amount of tables.
The food was terrific. The special was Stripped Bass that was prepared excellent with a Risotto that could have been its own entry it was so delicious. We are only here in Boston for the week but will go back before we leave.
We were very impressed with the quality of the food and service at the Truphy Room. We were expecting standard pub grub but they had a great choice. I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection. We stayed on fur a few drinks afterwards and it was a very lively and friendly crowd. I would certainly recommend this has a place to eat if you are in Boston.
We go to Trophy Room all the time, but our server last night (May 30) was just awful. He couldn't answer any questions about the drinks or menu, he brought out the appetizer with the entrees (and was confused that we were confused by this), didn't refill water, and just generally stood there talking to his girlfriend while we needed stuff. It was extra disappointing cause we were meeting a friend from out-of-town, and had talked the place up!
Disappointing at best; haven't been here in a couple years and unfortunately won't be going back soon
Favorite spot, and the food is absolutely delicious!
