The Troll Pub opened on October 19th 2011, underneath the 2nd Street Bridge in a 135 year old space directly next to the YUM Center on historic Whiskey Row. The Troll Pub is a subterranean retreat that features a Gastro-pub style menu with a wide selection of great tasting food items, craft beer, local artwork, and an overall atmosphere unique to Louisville. We are just blocks from the Louisville Convention Center and only steps away from many of the hottest attractions and hotels situated downtown. Just look for the Troll on the corner of 2nd and Washington, he will show you the way.

We had made a reservation for 4 but ended up needing a 6 top. Staff was very accommodating in directing us to the bar area but came up with a table for us! Great service. Good food! Extensive beer menu.

This restaurant offers mainly bar food. The chili needed salt, spices and some heat. The Buffalo chicken wrap was mediocre. The beer didn’t taste fresh.

Not the same experience at Troll Pub. Multiple items were not good, or as previously experienced. The price definitely didn't warrant the poor food quality. Definitely will not look to return with upcoming events at the Yum Center.

Stopped at the Troll Pub before an event at the Yum and went back after for drinks. Nice staff, decent pub food and good prices. Recommend!

We had the pleasure of dining at Troll Pub Under the Bridge before heading over to see the Savannah Bananas at Louisville Slugger Stadium, which was just a couple of blocks away. With tickets in hand since Christmas, finding the perfect dining spot for our family of six (four kids included) was essential. The atmosphere at Troll Pub Under the Bridge was a hit with the entire family. The kids were thrilled to be dining in a "basement," finding it an exciting and cool experience. The unique setting added to the overall charm for us adults as well. Each of us ordered something different, and we were delighted that everything came out perfectly. The standout dish at our table was undoubtedly the chicken and waffles; the Bourbon Butter that accompanied it truly knocked it out of the park. The beer selection was also impressive, offering a wide variety to choose from. Overall, our dining experience was fantastic, and we would give it a solid 10/10. Highly recommended!

Loved the unique ambiance in this historical building. Our party of 12 (with 7 kids) was seated in the very cool secret room behind the bookshelf. There is a kids menu available. Service was fast, attentive, and food was delicious. Even the trip to the bathroom was fun as the kids enjoyed the winding hall and "troll door" Very enjoyable meal for all!

I thought the food was good and we had a large group so they put in this little hole in the wall (literally) room. I don’t know if they had issues with the A/C but it was very warm in the building and the room they had us in had no air flow into it. The bathrooms were a sauna as well. I did the Chicken and Waffle sandwich which was tasty so it helped compensate for some the other misgivings.
