The Tree Room @ Sundance Ratings and Reviews
The Tree Room never disappoints! The menu is always changing and the Chef's selections are unique and outstanding. Of course the ambiance is probably my favorite part of visiting. Being only 20 minutes from this world class gem has definitely spoiled us over the years. We will keep coming back until they either shut the doors or kick us out. If you're looking for a romantic getaway in the woods, this is one of the State's Best.
The food was really good, but the servings were tiny. My boyfriend ate as soon as we got home because he was still hungry despite getting bread, soup, the most expensive entree and dessert. For the price, I think they could have given more food while still having it up-scale and beautifully prepared. My wine was delicious though, and the waitress was great.
Sundance Tree Room is a very special place. I have been going there for over 35 years for special occasions. I have gathered fond memories and had fine dining each and every time I have come.
The wine list and menu is exquisite and unique. You can ask a week in advance for a tasting menu if you know you’ll have a hard time choosing just one menu item! The clever and delicate choices are thoughtfully planned and expertly executed. This is however , punctuated by the cost of such dining... making it VERY special. I didn’t mind and I feel it is worth every penny for special occasions or for an impression .
The artifacts can not be overlooked. Some rare precious finds fill the room with the ages of story’s told, events witnessed, and passages of time not to have been forgotten. Pottery, rugs among other priceless finds were thoughtfully gathered by Robert Redford himself, or gifted to him knowing he would be able to showcase them in a way that we all might benifit from seeing such ancient lore and absorb the spiritual meaning and love behind each precious piece.
You know beyond doubt that this is not just a dining experience but more of a journey of the senses. Come early and cozy up by the fire in the library . Stay late and mingle with friends new and cherished in the Owl Bar for an after “after” .
This is a special place.
We were married at Sundance and decided to celebrate our anniversary this year by going to dinner at The Tree Room. It was wonderful. We will definitely be making this a tradition. The service was perfect, the restaurant is beautiful, and the food was absolutely incredible.
This was the best dinner I have ever had. The Pepper Steak is perfect and the raspberry lemonade tasted like pure raspberries, never have I ever had such a fresh, real tasting lemonade. We loved the classic rock, classical guitar album, the crackling fire, and interesting interior. The staff was perfectly friendly and attentive.
I came here while on vacation in Utah. I had a great experience. Mik Severe was an outstanding host. We did have to wait about 10 minutes beyond our reservation time for unknown reasons. The restaurant was fairly empty. We should have been offered better seating away from the workstation, especially in light of the numerous open tables and booths. The portion sizes are small, but the menu items are executed to exacting perfection. I highly recommend the Tree Room for a special occasion demanding an high-end and expensive meal.
Very fancy and expensive but you get what you pay for. I asked them to bring flowers for my wife for our anniversary and they got us great flowers. They were so kind and helpful through everything. Additionally, I got the peppered steak with mango chutney and I'd go there again just for that. We also liked the salad and the berries and cream.
We went for our birthday and the experience was awesome! The decorations are so cool and we felt so cozy. The food was amazing and every bite was delicious. We tried things we wouldn't normally and all of it didn't disappoint. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday too. Definitely recommend.
So glad we could celebrate significant birthdays of two old friends at the Tree Room where the incredible food is equaled by the warm, cozy environment and excellent service. It is a special, magical place. One of us flew in from Minnesota to come to this wonderful place. Thank you for a memorable evening!
High quality ingredients in well thought out dishes.
I had the Kompachi to start followed by the Squab.
Both were excellent but the squab was outstanding !
Beautiful room - liked the lighting and ambience. Love the large indian rug on the wall it’s an incredible centrepiece.
Highly recommend this restaurant while staying here or locally.
Cozy cottage with a beautiful view, comfy bed falling asleep every night with a crackling wood burning fireplace in front of us, early morning yoga in a yurt warmed by a fire, feeling like a kid again making pottery, beautiful fall walks right outside our front door, AMAZING food at both The Tree Room and Foundry Grill.
The Tree Room never disappoints: pampered service, exceptional food, wonderful ambiance, quiet enough with wonderful background music (classical guitar during our recent visit) so you can carry on a conversation, no rush (with prices at the high end, they are not trying to turn tables ala Texas Roadhouse), but the entire experience is high end. Perfect for a special occasion.
The Tree Room has become our annual tradition for celebrating mom's birthday. It's elegant, exquisite and the food and service is impeccable. Thank you for the attention and care you offered to our 94 year old mom and thank you for the artistic presentation of delectable food. The Tree Room is what I look forward to each time I visit Utah.
I've lived in the area for over two years and had been wanting to try this place for a while, but always thought it was going to be too far away. Turns out it's only 20ish minutes from central Orem, and well worth the drive!the wine and cocktail list is very impressive, and I'm looking forward to trying their seasonally changing menu at future visits.
