The Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
Trattoria is one of our favorite restaurants, the food is always very good, the setting is relaxed, we are happy to bring our own wine and we never leave feeling like we over paid for an unremarkable meal. Until New Years Eve...I was shocked to find a table still available when my husband and I decided to have dinner out at the last minute, so we made a late reservation. We were seated early, which was nice, and got menus right away. We ordered the same appetizer we always get without really concentrating on the menu as we were really in no hurry. The appetizer came, and when we finally took a glance at the menu we realized that it was a $90 per person 4 course dinner menu, which was not indicated when I made the reservation on Open Table. We have eaten here more than 10 times in the last year and have never had a bill that amounted to $270, with the tip, even when we were there with another couple. Had I seen mention of this when I made the reservation I would have opted for somewhere else, as sitting down to a 4 course meal after 10:00 at night would not typically be a choice we would make. And for the bill to be more than double the amount we are used to paying, kind of took some of the enjoyment out of it for us. I understand charging a premium on particular holidays but it should have been noted on Open Table, or at least mentioned when we were presented with the menu. Unfortunately this really changed the experience for us and will likely keep us away for a while. I may look forward to going back once the sting of feeling gouged goes away a bit.
It was a decent meal but not at that price.
This restaurant is AMAZING!! It is small and intimate and the food is sensational. It is always fresh and beyond delicous. The service is amazing and very personal. Most of the time the chef will even come out to say hello and make sure you are enjoying everything. I can't say enough about this place. We come with friends and also for romantic dinners for 2. LOVE!!!
Not our best meal here. Food was OK, service was kind of weird. When we told the waitress that we wanted tap water instead of bottled water, she lost interest in us. This was weird, because its such a small restaurant. We normally go here for special occasions, but I think its time to find a new place to go.
