Every visit to the Tower Bar is nothing short of an amazing experience. We had an intimate and romantic dinner my wife and I. We are already looking forward getting back again ASAP!
The Tower Bar is so amazing!! Everything about it is first class!
I always love tower bar. It’s tucked away and the food and wine choices are reliable. It’s a quiet place to meet. I was disappointed that the terrace is closed. But everyone is very nice and accommodating and we had a lovely window table in the bar.
I love this restaurant, especially the view! I was disappointed when I found that the patio side was temperarily closed. However, they advised me of that. What really upset me, they did not let me know that they no longer took cash, credit card only. There was a large party and some guests came with cash! They called me to verify my reservation but did not tell me about that change, I called with questions and to change the reservation and not a single person mentioned or thought to check if Id been told about the payment change!
Great great great experience. We all really enjoyed it.
Had a fabulous birthday dinner in a beautiful setting. Drinks were great and so was the dinner
Table was virtually in the lobby and the food was very average. Had heard great things and were disappointed. Would consider going back just to see if it was a one off poor experience. Had no idea that the restaurant didn’t take cash, so was stuck with $300+
One of the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. The restaurant was behind schedule on seating, our server was overwhelmed and inattentive. Our drinks took my requesting them twice before arriving. Our food was not prepared as requested. Typical LA scene where the only people receiving good service are the "celebrities". Will not return.
We had to wait almost an hour
Fantastic experience all around. Met good friends for a reunion dinner and would make this a regular restaurant if we lived in LA. Special attention is taken with all details including impeccable and genuine service by everyone.
Tower Bar never disappoints. My LA Go to for cozy dining with a NY VIbe!
My birthday dinner was ruined with guests practically yelling across tables, the main dining room was far too loud. We were moved to the terrace dining room to be bothered with cigarette smoke from the terrace. I used to love Sunset Tower for lunch and dinner but shocked at the clientele that has taken over!
Great! We enjoyed the meal and the service
Original deco, great decor and beautiful people,
Great dining experience as always, only negative was being on the pool side rather than the dining room.
As usual, the staff, food and views were phenomenal. Our waiter was incredibly attentive while never looming. I always love it here.
Love the Tower Bar. Great food. Great scene. Waiter was a little curmudgeonly but I'll allow it.
Just superb in every way, Dennis looked after us , lovely guy & very good service
Amazing experienced-really loved it -my new favorite restaurant in Los Angeles!
Great experience. A dark, warm environment, simple food done right and excellent service. The food was crazy overpriced, but kinda worth it when you take everything into consideration - the ambience, decor, service, history etc., Possibly the best roast chicken I've ever had.
Great food great service
When I book the restaurant for dinner I don’t expect to be seated outside in a marquee.
Extremely poor service! I made reservations three weeks ahead. Arrived early for reservation. Was seated one hour past reservation time, only after I complained and said I was leaving. I watched numerous tables being sat without reservations. Many people were upset as I wasn’t the only one being pushed aside.
I love it here. It’s the best all around
Had a wonderful time - as usual. The Tower Bar is LA's most elegant dining spot. It's chic, understated, and reeks of old Hollywood glamour.
Food was mediocre and a bit overpriced. Ambiance is great and romantic as always.
Great space, great service, great time. Very reliable!
Night was ruined
There was a fixed menu of $165 per person for food that generously would come out to $75 on any other night. And nobody told us ahead of time there was a prix fixe menu. It wasn't disclosed on Open Table. When we arrived, the hostess told us to go back and someone would meet us and seat us. We did as told and nobody arrived so we took a seat. The place was empty and we were the only ones there. So we sat in a decent place. A waiter gave us menus, served water and then a maitre d came over and asked us who sat us there. We said nobody was around, so we sat ourselves. He moved us to another place because of some reason. In the new seats (lame, away from the piano, away from the windows) we endured two change overs of primary waiter (normally not a big deal). The entire night, we were served the wrong courses, we were served without explanation of what things were -- blah blah, first world problems, I know, but for the hard core price, you would think they'd polish it up A LOT. I could go on, but I've invested enough in this experience. (e.g who serves oysters with onions as an appetizer on Valentines Day? How tonally off key can you get?)
Our server was AMAZING!! She made the whole night so enjoyable.
Love this place.
Amazing place and great for birthday dinner. Really over exceeded expectations
Cristos, our server, was a true gentleman and an asset to the establishment / hotel. He set an accommodating tone from the outset, and certainly made our evening and experience exponentially better. Not that I don’t love this place, and frequent it, but this was the first time we had the great fortune to meet Cristos, and I would encourage all of you to request him if you go.
Cocktails - Moscow Mule & The Tower were delicious
Starter - Crab Cakes - one of the best I’ve had in LA.
Entree’s - scallops - amazing. Huge, perfectly cooked / prepared, and delicious.
Fillet Mignon - ordered just a little over medium, and while it was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, the cut I had was lacking flavor. Strange as it Hadn’t been an issue in the past, but a minor thing overall.
Sundae bar desert is one of my fave options in this town, and an old school treat.
Dimitri - the Sunset Tower legend - was welcoming and accommodating as always, and it was a pleasure to see you again sir!
Great atmosphere, great experience, and highly recommended if you’ve never had the pleasure.
Sexy crowd fun energy
Terrible table in dark lounge. Would not seat us in the main dinning room. We left.
It was great food, great atmosphere & great service
This place has, sadly, gone way downhill. We had rude and inconsiderate service from the moment we were seated until the final bill arrived. If you want slow, incompetent, uncaring and inattentive service of mediocre fare, this is your place! And it isn’t the first time, either. This was us giving a second chance after a similar experience last year.
Amazing service. Wonderful table. Excellent food. One of our favorites.
Best food and even better staff!! This is my go to place in all of LA
The only negative was that we were not seated promptly disputed there being empty gtAnles. The food is great. The restaurant is dimly lite and has an old school vibe. We eat there quite frequently and it never disappoints.
