When I book the restaurant for dinner I don’t expect to be seated outside in a marquee.
I love it here. It’s the best all around
Had a wonderful time - as usual. The Tower Bar is LA's most elegant dining spot. It's chic, understated, and reeks of old Hollywood glamour.
Food was mediocre and a bit overpriced. Ambiance is great and romantic as always.
Great space, great service, great time. Very reliable!
Night was ruined
There was a fixed menu of $165 per person for food that generously would come out to $75 on any other night. And nobody told us ahead of time there was a prix fixe menu. It wasn't disclosed on Open Table. When we arrived, the hostess told us to go back and someone would meet us and seat us. We did as told and nobody arrived so we took a seat. The place was empty and we were the only ones there. So we sat in a decent place. A waiter gave us menus, served water and then a maitre d came over and asked us who sat us there. We said nobody was around, so we sat ourselves. He moved us to another place because of some reason. In the new seats (lame, away from the piano, away from the windows) we endured two change overs of primary waiter (normally not a big deal). The entire night, we were served the wrong courses, we were served without explanation of what things were -- blah blah, first world problems, I know, but for the hard core price, you would think they'd polish it up A LOT. I could go on, but I've invested enough in this experience. (e.g who serves oysters with onions as an appetizer on Valentines Day? How tonally off key can you get?)
Our server was AMAZING!! She made the whole night so enjoyable.
Love this place.
Amazing place and great for birthday dinner. Really over exceeded expectations
Cristos, our server, was a true gentleman and an asset to the establishment / hotel. He set an accommodating tone from the outset, and certainly made our evening and experience exponentially better. Not that I don’t love this place, and frequent it, but this was the first time we had the great fortune to meet Cristos, and I would encourage all of you to request him if you go.
Cocktails - Moscow Mule & The Tower were delicious
Starter - Crab Cakes - one of the best I’ve had in LA.
Entree’s - scallops - amazing. Huge, perfectly cooked / prepared, and delicious.
Fillet Mignon - ordered just a little over medium, and while it was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, the cut I had was lacking flavor. Strange as it Hadn’t been an issue in the past, but a minor thing overall.
Sundae bar desert is one of my fave options in this town, and an old school treat.
Dimitri - the Sunset Tower legend - was welcoming and accommodating as always, and it was a pleasure to see you again sir!
Great atmosphere, great experience, and highly recommended if you’ve never had the pleasure.
Sexy crowd fun energy
Terrible table in dark lounge. Would not seat us in the main dinning room. We left.
It was great food, great atmosphere & great service
This place has, sadly, gone way downhill. We had rude and inconsiderate service from the moment we were seated until the final bill arrived. If you want slow, incompetent, uncaring and inattentive service of mediocre fare, this is your place! And it isn’t the first time, either. This was us giving a second chance after a similar experience last year.
Amazing service. Wonderful table. Excellent food. One of our favorites.
Best food and even better staff!! This is my go to place in all of LA
The only negative was that we were not seated promptly disputed there being empty gtAnles. The food is great. The restaurant is dimly lite and has an old school vibe. We eat there quite frequently and it never disappoints.
Outstanding atmosphere. Transported to heaven with the Art Deco decor and fantastic view. Food was delicious, zucchini chips light as air, veggie quinoa plate yummy and Orlando was awesome waiter. Will become part of my LA itinerary for sure.
I love the tower bar
