The Tower Bar
Was seated at a terrific table promptly. The waiter was very attentive and informative...and the food was terrific as always, as was the martinis! The Tower Bar always delivers!
This is a super fancy “casual” restaurant. Meaning - it’s pricy, but it’s a lovely atmosphere. Hollywood elites can be overheard talking “deals” etc. We loved the Fried Zuchini & Broccolini, as well as the very creative cocktails!
Our server Tomas was amazing he was very attentive to our guests
Classic LA cool. Never disappoints. Amazing service and ambiance.
Food was awful. $70 steak way over cooked with no flavor. We had to send back the fries. Who can’t make fries? Terrible.
One of my absolute favorite places in LA. I've never had a bad time or a bad meal here. The service is impeccable, the room beautiful, the hostess perfection, and the evening glorious!
It was a wonderful experience except for the noise level.
Great service, delicious food, attractive ambiance!
Difficult to hear one another though if you’re anywhere near the bar!!
First of all, this is at least somewhere you need to visit once. We plan to go back because the room is stellar. On a Friday night, a small combo was playing live music - French-inspired - right up my alley. Before we saw the room, we asked for an outdoor table - which was nice. But our table happened to be right in the line of fire with the outdoor smoking area - who knew? In any case, the staff happily seated us inside, away from the smoke - but turns out, that's where you want to be anyway. Just a wonderful place to be.
Tuna tartare is good. Solid. Chargrilled artichoke - excellent. Chicken piccata - incredibly healthy. Scallops - good (I didn't love that it came with mashed potatoes and I misread the menu & didn't notice until the plate arrived).
Drinks are solid. Good wine selection.
Be prepared to spend money - this is not an economical night out, but treat yourself.
Great food and service always come here when in town from new jersey
Always simply divine.
The kindness of the staff makes every visit a wonderful visit!
Sexy and glamorous ! And the best celery soup on the planet!!!
Food was horrible
We were seated immediately and our staff was lovely.
Spectacular ambiance and people watching. Warm service. Perfect menu of classics!
As a regular at The Tower Bar, I was extremely disappointed!!!! I checked in and was asked to wait at the bar. I then followed up at 8:10, (many tables still empty 8:20 again tables still available and 8:30pm and was told I had to sit on the poolside of the hotel not in fact where I reserved and ALWAYS reserve my table in the Tower Bar! After being told our table was actually being reserved for regulars & important guests you can imagine my shock and dissatisfaction in the lack of respect and belittling etiquette I received! Finally we were sat after some persuading. Not professional at all and I am a regular, I live close by, and travel all over the world to only the best and 5 star hotels, restaurants etc and I have never experienced such unpleasantries!
Went for my dad's birthday. He loved it. We were sat immediately at a great table and the service was great.
A gorgeous room, good food, flawless service. Elegant yet supremely comfortable without pretentiousness.
The restaurant itself was superb, outstanding service and excellent food. It has an old school Hollywood charm and the staff is very professional, yet subtle. We ventured over to the bar after dinner. The bar staff had some attitude, and after spending $500 on dinner, I wasn't pleased to wait around for the their attention. Drinks were very good but staff needs to step it up!
Very old Hollywood beautiful decor and ambiance. A must to try
Great experience! Food and decor are fantastic! Old Hollywood glam:)
Overpriced for dinner. I would stick to cocktails and bar snacks.
Food was just ok. When dining at a top notch restaraunt, food should be fabulous. It was not.
Old world Hollywood charm at its best. Amazing views from the patio and wonderful ambiance. The food and drinks were out of this world, and the people watching was fun. Perhaps Michael Ovitz does not hold his regular table anymore at this iconic Hollywood locale, but its an amazing experience nonetheless.
Amazing, per usual.
The Tower Bar is still the best in LA. I’d also like to make a note that Jake behind the bar is always very welcoming and chatty when we come in. A stand out member of staff.
very pleasant experience...
Favorite spot in LA
Classic Los Angeles cool. Great food. Great vibe.
Great all around
Always the best, thank you!
We went for a jaZ brunch but there were two guitarists and piped in music so it felt like we went for a no-jazz breakfast with sloppy service and just okay food A bait and switch to be sure!
Love the ambience of the restaurant. There’s live jazz playing in the background but not too loudly. The food is great but it is expensive.
Crazy to think but its Best Burger and Fries in LA
Great vibes good food great service.
If you want old Hollywood feel with a great view - this is your place.
We have been here about four times in two months. The only negative thing that happened was when I walked up wearing a Gucci poncho the older lady at the host stand said “oh wow” in a sarcastic way that didn’t seem like a compliment. Either way whether it was meant to be negative or not you should let your comments be interpreted in a negative manner. It left me feeling off-put which if we’re spending $400 for dinner each time we come it’s not a feeling you want your guest to have. Besides that the waiter was super awesome and the food, especially the surf and turf, was amazing. Just be aware that you might feel judged based on your outfit.
Impeccable service great ambiance above average food. Great
The classiest restaurant in town. Love to go there.
Lovely setting and always the best service. Food was excellent and always is!
