The Tower Bar
I love the Tower Bar. I have for years. Last night was the exception. After our first course but before our main course arrived, the junior server knocked over a full glass of water. It saturated my pants and my entire place setting area. They resolved this by placing a napkin over the wet tablecloth. It was soaked. I placed another napkin over that so I could try to pretend every time my hand touched the table, it wasn’t met with an icy wet spot. They served my main course on top of the saturated napkins. I really tried to make do but it truly affected my ability to enjoy my meal. I asked for a new tablecloth and instead they moved my guest and I to a table next to us. Also my filet Mignon which I ordered medium rare, came very medium. They took off our dessert and a round of wine but to be honest our entire meal should have been complimentary. Will I return; yes, but I hope this experience was an exception.
The ambiance was nice but the food was quite mediocre given the price
Very romantic place to go, very dark and very cosy. Lively bar if you're looking to meet people. The food is consistent and good, we had the cob salad with lobster / cob with steak. Both were excellent. To top it off, they serve Nolet gin! Our favorite!
Fabulous as always, thank you!
Love the tower bar for the atmosphere and old school Hollywood feel. I was very happy with the window seat we were given as requested. Drinks, food and service were all outstanding, best meal so far in LA. Scallops, salmon, truffle fries all A+. Only con was that it was extremely loud but I was there at 8pm on a Saturday night and the place was energetic which I guess added to the vibe.
I felt the service was snobby. We had ordered an entree to split and we didn't get that entree and got into a verbal argument with the waiter. Saying we never ordered it. We most certainly did and instead of saying we are sorry, his person wanted to keep saying we are in the wrong and never did. It only got worse from there.
Wonderful as always
Think London Club meets down home dining. Service is always fantastic and the crowd isn't prancing around like show ponies. We come at least 6-8 times a year for a "civilized" dinner (and the incredible truffle fries), and always go home satiated and smiling. Many thanks to Gabby for always making our experience fantastic!
We were seated in an area that was so dark we had to use our cell phones to read the menus. My branzino was grilled to the point of being dry. The fingerling potatoes were dry and my asparagus could have been a little less grilled.
All and all, for a Thanksgiving dinner, the Tower Bar could have done better.
Great food, great ambiance & great service
My reservation was at 8PM, and I was sat at 9:30 with little to no explanation from the blonde hostess who was dismissive, rude, and condescending. Meanwhile those who were celebrities or well-known wealthy people were hurried to their tables quickly. It was my friends birthday or I never would have waited so long.
Once again Gabe and company surpasses themselves with another memorable night at the finest restaurant in the city. Craig on piano always adds so much color to the room - one of the finest pianists in the Southland - and the lamb was perfect as was the chicken entree and the chicken pot pie! Fine selection of wines as always and superb service from the minute you enter. Jeffrey Klein has truly sustained something remarkable at this iconic venue that he brought back to life years ago and the changes he continues to make the venue are tasteful and truly beauty in rooms I have known since the 1980’s when it was a private club. You can go to Musso’s or La Scala or The Grill but the Tower has superior service, a staff that engages you and takes care of you - and in a room that is lively and comfortable. This is the finest place to be on any night for any occasion! I’ll be back for our traditional Christmas Eve Eve Dinner!
Waitstaff was outstanding! Pigs in the blanket so delish.
Loved the restaurant vibe and the service was good. Drinks were good. Food was mediocre for the price so even though we had a wonderful evening, I don't see us going back.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service... very good for special occasions
Great as always!✨✨ Love coming here for brunch!
The place was awesome except for the food. To charge that much for food and have it not be great is not ideal for any restaurant. I had the chicken pot pie and an ice cream sundae. I had to add a ton of salt to the chicken pot pie and the ice cream was very icy with little taste.
Everything else was great, but to had bad food at an expensive restaurant is poor.
Simply put, one of the finest dining experiences we have had in our life.
Live jazz and ultimate old school style with modern everything else.
Very rushed service
Not the same since Dimetri left
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Tower Bar recently, and we had a lovely time. I was craving their grilled pork chop, and it was even better than I remembered. My wife enjoyed her scallops, and the ice cream sundae was a fun way to end the meal. Attentiveness and service were just right.
We specifically booked the Tower Bar and when we arrived, they wanted to seat us in the Terrace restaurant. We prefer the ambiance of the Tower Bar - that’s why we booked it. We are hotel guests and flew from Australia but it made no difference to them. If they didn’t have the room, they should not have accepted our booking. We left instead.
Everyone is extremely nice and professional!
Absolutely one of the best lunch spots around!
Always the best!
Ate outside. Lovely service, spectacular view and food done just right. Birthday celebratuon lunch for my friend. Topped off with 2 cookies and a candle! What could be better?
Great as always!! Excellent service and food
Amazing as always, thank you Gabé!
The scene never gets old here. It’s a lovely place and the service is excellent. The food is always on point. I noticed that they basically doubled the prices from last time I went there. Can’t really justify a $45 burger but you are paying for the whole experience.
Staff was wonderful. Food was incredible! We love this spot.
We recently had brunch at Tower Bar and had a great experience. The ambience was lovely, the food was good and reasonably priced compared to other hotel restaurants and the service was outstanding. The hostess and management team were extremely friendly and checked on us numerous times and were overly accommodating when they were out of the menu item he selected. We will definitely be back!
Lovely experience. I love coming to Tower. Always first class and friendly service
Great place. Very good food. But huge staff attitude re seating etc. Alas. That said server was fine.
Spectacular location and top notch service! Such an enjoyable afternoon!
Amazing service and food with beautiful decor and a throwback to elegance
Was seated at a terrific table promptly. The waiter was very attentive and informative...and the food was terrific as always, as was the martinis! The Tower Bar always delivers!
This is a super fancy “casual” restaurant. Meaning - it’s pricy, but it’s a lovely atmosphere. Hollywood elites can be overheard talking “deals” etc. We loved the Fried Zuchini & Broccolini, as well as the very creative cocktails!
