   Had such a perfect night. Valet was kind and swift. We arrived a little early for our reso- service was great while we waited for our table. Drinks transferred to our table with ease. The hosts and our server helped me pull off a surprise birthday dessert for my fiancé. They were so sweet about it and helped make the day special. Thank you Tower Bar ❤️‍🔥

   The Maitre d' was intransigent. He lead us to our table in an area adjacent to but not in the restaurant (which was not full). We asked him repeatedly to consider putting our party of 6 at another open table but he refused me, nu husband and tier members of our group. When we asked to speak to the manager he said the manager was off for the night.

    The Tower Bar is perfectly upscale without being pretentious, with excellent food, service, and views to boot. Barbara, Angel, Pedro, Tony, and Eric always make it feel like home for regulars and visitors alike. A perfect dining experience each time.

    The food and service are faultless. The food is simple but delicious. It was a Saturday evening and hence busy.....that means tables packed together, very noisy and unnecessarily dark. It was impossible to read the menu without torchlight!

    Fabulous celebration for my Mom's 85th birthday. The Tower Bar was recommended by a friend and she didn't steer us wrong. Angel was our server and went above and beyond. Amazing ambience.

    I stayed at The Sunset Tower Hotel for 5 days and enjoyed dinner as well as breakfast daily at Tower Bar. I loved all of my meals, the service was fantastic, thank you Angel for being an absolute doll, and the atmosphere was stunning. Tower Bar stays packed and if you plan to dine here, I highly suggest that you make reservations. I had reservations for 1 and it took me 30 minutes to be seated and that was after I had asked for a manager (thanks Jen!). Besides that little snafu, I did not encounter any more issues. For dinner I did not want an entire bread basket and was very grateful when I was brought a pretzel bread. While the menu is not large, they do have quite a few mouthwatering options, but in the end, I chose the scallops that were cooked to perfection. For breakfast, I fell in love with the smoked salmon benedict, smoked salmon bagel spread, chicken apple sausage, huevos rancheros and the fruit and yogurt parfait. I was excited for the brussel sprout and quinoa bowl, but it was rather bland and not a favorite. While I did not eat lunch, I did eye a few plates and the dishes looked just as yummy as the dinner and breakfast items.

    Lovely view over city in relaxed surroundings where you are made to feel welcome. Ceaser salad was delicious with fresh juicy chicken. Wait staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Lunch here is my treat every time I visit LA.

    The dining room was a little darker than it needed to be and was very loud. I have enjoyed sitting outside on the patio over looking the pool more in the past, but there may have been an event at the hotel last night. The food and service were outstanding and the Tower Bar remains one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles.

    Honestly I was so looking forward to this dinner and wound up somewhat disappointed. We were seated immediately, which was lovely. However, we felt rushed the entire meal, even while many tables were open throughout the night. The food itself was overrated and brought out so quickly we didn’t have time to digest or really explore the food. Our waitress was energetic but could not answer any questions about the menu. The view was beautiful, I will say. But otherwise I don’t know if I would recommend it.

    The bar and cocktails are first rate. Exact kind of ambiance you would want in a cozy hotel bar. The food is a different story. My husband had salmon with a side of garden vegetables. It was dry and overcooked as we’re vegetables. Hard to swallow when you’re paying over 50.00 for an entree. This isn’t a fine dining restaurant. You.’re best to order fries and a burger which most of the patrons around me were doing.

    Great, iconic place. Has the “old celebrity” credentials, but isn’t immersed in yesteryear. Great location. Spectacular view. Eduardo was the sever, and he went out of way to make me comfortable and keep me informed. Total courteous professional. I had a glass of rose - at $18, you can buy a bottle of many rose brands, but the optics of BYOB along the Sunset Strip make the DIY plus corkage unsavory. Plus, no one eats or stays at the Sunset tower to save a few bucks here or there. I ordered the tuna tartare; comes with light, subtle chips to accompany the ahi and/or guacamole to your palate . Nice dish! Then, the lobster tacos…spectacular! Unfortunately, I could only finish one, but Eduardo gave it to go and it was even extraordinary as a “leftover”. Look, it’s pricey, but you’ll feel like a celebrity yourself minus the paparazzi. And you’ll have a nice memory as well as a good meal.
