Another great dinner at Timbers!!
We've never had a disappointing meal here!
I always make reservations to sit in the area we prefer.
Very good food & the prices was right, I usually when a few dollars here in casino!
The waiter seemed to be on speed as I was telling him what I wanted while ordering & he, very fast, went through my choices of what I could get with my meal and I already knew but didn’t get it out of my mouth yet! I told him not to rush me, he was very courteous & efficient except for making me fee Ike I was to slow at ordering
Good value for prime rib. Although my husband would have preferred a bigger cut.
Early May was in between seasons and not busy so no problem making last minute reservation. We were very pleased with service, quality of good and value.
We've eaten here twice on a 4 day trip and will likely be returning again a third time. Solid food and friendly service in a throwback yet clean and comfortable setting. This place has no frills and it works. The view from the formal dining area is nice and we enjoyed all the natural light. Wood interior is pretty.
The food and chef are fabulous! This is a hidden gem!
In town on vacation, they used to be a better value. It used to be our favorite place when prices were better.
Went for the daily prime rib and lobster special. My wife and I ordered the prime rib medium...it was more like medium-well (no slight shade of pink to be found)...so order medium rare. Other than the temperature, the taste was fine. I was better off than my wife, because I eat it with the creamy horseradish. The lobster was good....gone in two bites, but for I expected that for the price. My kids both ordered the pizza off the kids meal. The pizza was not good as the crust was burnt and tasted like cracker bread. The hot sourdough bread was delicious...probably the best food item on the table. Service was good.
Good prim rib. Service by Tim was great.
Food was good. Of course I ordered the prime rib and lobster tail which was good. The rest of the family was happy with their food. Wife ordered the vegie burger which she said was one of the best she's eaten. The only reason I gave the ambiance 3 stars was I am not used to eating in a smoke smelled restaurant. The casino is right next door and all the smoke smell seems to linger into the restaurant. I am just not used to that. I would recommend this place to others to eat.
While food was good, the ambience is just horrible, located off a casino. Very few guests and just two tables with people at 8 pm. They were setting up for breakfast and it was noisy with the dishes, etc and clearing dirty tables. A very sad place. Nonetheless we enjoyed the rib eye and lobster.
Great prime rib and lobster. Everything is a good price too, including drinks.
Always good food and plenty of it. Very reasonable wine and cocktails. Great lobster and prime rib.
Prime rib & lobster was spectacular
The prime rib and lobster special is amazing and is definitely a 2 person meal for sharing. The appetizer crab cakes we ordered in addition to the meal were disappointing. They were crispy on the outside but way too mushy on the inside. They also lacked taste and substance. Because we elected to split the meal, I ordered a bowl of clam chowder. This was a great and bad decision. The soup was so good and filling that I had little to no room for the prime rib, baked potato and accompanying veggies. The service was attentive and personal. We plan on returning to the Timbers for not only the price of the meal but the quality and attention to providing a great dining experience.
We were on vacation. Always try to go have the Prime Rib and Lobster when visiting. Good service and value,
Food was cold and not very tasty. I can’t believe this place is a locals favorite. Service was excellent.
Service was wonderful
$26 surf and turf sounds like a great value... until it arrives. Then you understand why. Prime rib was rubbery and over cooked. It was sub par casino buffet line food
Very enjoyable dining experience.
We were seated in the bar. After looking into the dining room and seeing it almost empty, we asked to be moved.
After about 5 minutes, we placed our order..and the salad was served immediately. 5 minutes later, our prime rib arrived!
Because it was a stormy night, it appeared most people did not go out...so they were in a hurry to get orders out quickly that had been ready 2 hours earlier!
The meat was warm...not hot..the baked potato was warm...not hot. The salad dressing (blue cheese) was watered down. The bread was great..and Terra, our server....We should have returned dinner until we finished our salad..which was improved once Terra brought a thick dressing to me.
We were rushed..food was just warm...
If we return, we will...ask for a salad...and when finished, then place our order...
Great food, great ambiance, filet was a little over-cooked but otherwise a great meal and great value. We'll be back!
Always enjoy this restaurant but they did not have the reservation from open table
As usual the $24.99 prime rib and lobster dinner was delicious, economical, and a pleasure to eat. The service was excellent and friendly.
Have passed Lakeside Inn for years, always wondering about their dinner special that they advertise on their sign. It doesn't look very fancy from the outside, but inside, The Timbers is very nice! Quite a gem in Tahoe! The food was excellent and a good value! It has become a regular destination when I am in the area.
Robert, Thank you for the great review. We are happy you finally came into Lakeside to try The Timbers. We have many famous dinner and breakfast signature dishes. Come in and try them all! We hope to see you soon.
Everything was great service was wonderful, clean restaurant, great atmosphere
Thank You! We never get tired of hearing that our guests had a fun enjoyable experience at Lakeside.
La comida fue bastante regular. El servicio bueno
The restaurant is very old and has little ambiance. The food was very expensive and the food was mediocre at best. The service we received was on point from both our server and bus staff.
I highly recommend this unpretentious restaurant in the Lakeside Inn Casino near the turnoff from Highway 50 to Kingsbury Grade. The prime rib and calamari were excellent. The drinks were generous. The service attentive, not intrusive. The most amazing thing about it was the low price for both drinks and food.
I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. My main complain is that the salad was not fresh and the salmon was over cooked. Also, I didn't enjoyed the strong combination of flavors and spices in the dishes I tried ( rosemary salmon and black shrimps)
Just OK. Value restaurant with a good price on prime rib & lobster. Otherwise, a bit overpriced for just okay tasting food.
Excellent food fairly priced and friendly staff! Large menu has something for everyone.
the portions were very good. Food was great. Value was excellent. Service was not the best. Although we had reservations we were not seated at our reservation time. We were told to come back in 15 minutes. When we came back, they still did not want to seat us. We were told we'd have to wait. We asked to speak to the manager, then miraculously a table was found. As we were being seated, I noticed several open tables. Maybe they were short staffed.
Went for the prime rib and lobster. For $24.99. The lobster was around 5 oz and the prime rib was a huge slice!!! With sweet carrots. Garlic smashed potatoes. Was a great deal and we were very happy with the meal. Service was great. Would recommend for a meal while in Lake Tahoe
4 of us ordered 4 different entrees and 2 appetizers. Too salty, overly cooked, and not fresh. Stay away from the Damon, pork chops, Brussels sprouts, prime rib sandwich, French onion soup. Bartender could not mix drinks. Stick with beer if you have to go.
I used Open Table to reserve our reservations and when we arrived they said they had NO reservation for me. Open Table obviously doesn't work well. My advice is call in your reservation. We had to sit at the bar and eat our dinner.
Went for the lobster and prime rib option. Food was very good-the menu has some nice creativity for dishes and the special Reuben soup was delicious! Fantastic service. Restaurant itself has a dated appearance in terms of decor, but the meal was wonderful.
Tried it for Thanksgiving dinner. Food was ok. Wouldn't go back because the restaurant has no atmosphere. Felt like cafeteria seating. Cement floor, square tables with hard chairs.
Celebrated two birthdays on November 10th! Food was delicious, server and table staff were very good.
It was veteran's day. You should have honored Vets, even if it was just a free desert or something small like a modest play voucher.
