The Timbers provides a relaxing dining environment with open beam wooden ceilings coupled with contemporary decor. Located adjacent to the main casino floor, The Timbers is a Tahoe local's go-to restaurant. The extensive menus offer more than you ever imagine for the price!
You will enjoy traditional American fare and many unique and creative dishes. Dinner choices include flavorful seafood entrees, fresh fish and juicy Certified Black Angus beef, all beautifully presented. Chef Alvaro creates unique daily lunch and dinner specials, including hearty homemade soups. Breakfast is served all day, everyday.
Good value for money. Rustic ambience. Food was very good, but not excellent. Service was outstanding.
Excellent meal! We ordered the BBQ flatbread as an appetizer; then I had th 3 cheese soup, which was INCREDIBLE! My wife ordered the Beef Cheek, which was very tasty & tender, much like a pot roast. Prime Rib for me. Outstanding. We would definitely recommend y
The Timbers to anyone. It was a little loud, and somewhere, something should say that the restaurant is inside a casino.
We’ve been wanting to go for their advertised Prime Rib and Lobster. It was perfect. The cocktails and wine selection great. Enjoyed our waiter.
Food is consistently good. Waitress was friendly and food was delivered promptly.
Service was poor!
Great local experience. Just the right amount of options on the menu and much better value than the other casinos. The bread is worth the trip. We will be back on our next trip to South Lake.
The server was great very attentive but the food was cold even after complaining it came back out cold/warm
Food was good. Service was good. Only thing is the place needs a face lift and the smell of smoke walking to the restaurant through the casino.
Food was plentiful and tasty, meat cooked to order. Average quality. Attentive to child, but meal came last d/t mixup. A little Smokey from the casinos nearby.
Came here for dinner with the family and to have the prime rib.
Prime rib comes in 10, 12, and 16 ounce portions and you have the option to add lobster.
Although the meat quality was good, one of our orders was badly overcooked and the meat was too dry - as if it hadn't sat in the juices long enough.
The strong point here is the service which is attentive and very pleasant.
Overall dinner was relaxing, the food was okay, and the service was very good.
Awesome service and accommodated all my twerks. Fantastic MEAT
We enjoyed the meal. The more experienced servers were a bit rude to one of the younger servers that was a bit less experienced and didn't do things as well as them. They shouldn't be so openly belittling to their younger teammates if they want to be good mentors. Also, the guests seeing/hearing it might be turned off by it.
Also, I had to order 2 of 3 drinks twice, because they were forgotten.
We really enjoy going to this restaurant we have in the past and love the food. This past visit on New Year’s eve was not the best my food was good This past visit on New Year’s eve was not the best my food was good my husband was dry. I felt that the table next to us got so much attention compared to our table.
I’m really going to give it some time to think about if I’m going to return to the restaurant or not.
The waitstaff was friendly but slow. The burger made my dad sick, and they messed up his side but quickly fixed it. Pineapple mango mojito was great. They have the beyond veggie burger which was good. We witnessed managers berate and make snide comments to wait staff on multiple occasions which negatively contributed to our overall dining experience. You must walk through a casino that permits smoking to enter the restaurant so maybe not the best dining option for young children or smoke sensitive individuals.
Timbers has the best prime rib and lobster dinner! Always happy leaving there.
Smokey, food was good value but service in Christmas Day was not good. Drinks left unfilled, filet cooked more than ordered. Great lobster and bread though!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner specials on Christmas. We sat in the bar area but it was quiet and cozy. The bartender was our server and he was very fast and efficient.
We had the Christmas meal and the glaze that they put over the ham was not very good and it kind of ruined the taste of the ham. There were three of us that had it and non of us liked it. We haven’t eaten there any other time than that since we aren’t local. Not sure how the other food is since that was a special.
The driest prime ribs and side vegetables all looked like they were very old and/or resteamed over and over judging by color/texture. Pasta was probably the only thing that was okay and that's most likely because it doesn't require much fresh ingredients. Not asking for fine dining but this was worse than roadside rest stop dining.
The wait staff was attentive and the food was good but very ordinary.
I’m not one to complain about food, but this place was the worst meal I have ever had. Sent it back to the kitchen, and the manager offered us $30 in dining credits (valid starting the next day so we weren’t even able to use it on our terrible meals). We left them on the table.
Service was good but the place reeked of smoke. Wouldn’t recommend. 0 stars.
Thanksgiving weekend (date night)
Prices have gotten too expensive for lunch and dinner.
Fabulous setting, rustic charm, my wife had the prime rib and I had the smoked pork chop and we not only enjoyed it at the restaurant but made delicious sandwiches with the leftovers. Service was impeccable and prompt.
Steak and eggs good, potatoes some barely warm, some cold. Husband said biscuits and gravy were cold. Manager took his meal off the tab.
Great deal on prime rib and lobster!!!
The dining room is really bleak! We got a booth in the bar which was perfect. No noise and light!
The food was fantastic and large portions. We had plenty for dinner the next night too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The setting is in an older casino so you do have to walk through some stale cigarette smell before you get to the restaurant but once you’re inside that all disappears.
The restaurant was in poor condition and I was leary going in that it was just going to be awful. The hostess didn't really know what she was doing, asked for the name on my reservation at least 4 times, but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. Our server was excellent and overall I was happy with our dinner, good value, if you can overlook the restaurant itself.
great food, great price, and had left overs for the next day.
I had prime rib and lobster, very good.
Waitress, Diana, was outstanding, friendly, courteous and very efficient,
The restaurant overall is in need of a complete renovation, kind of rundown.
Just felt rushed. Very little time between pouring wine to salads to main course. Food was good but too many other choices to return.
The main entrees were delicious. The prime rib cooked right, the lobster tails were good, but the sides were not good. The garlic mashed potatoes had way too much garlic, and I like garlic. My wife asked for steamed broccoli which was not steamed enough. Go there for the steaks, prime rib, lobster. Forget the side; soup and salad, those were good. For $29.99 it's a good deal for Tahoe.
The Roasted Chicken special was excellent! You have the best mud pie I have ever tasted. We will be back!
WE WENT TO TWO RESTAURANTS IN LAKE TAHOE. ONE ON 8-28-19 TIMBERS, ONE ON 8-30 THE CHART HOUSE AT SOUTH LAKE TAHOE. THE CHART HOUSE WAS INCREDIBLE GREAT SERVICE AND THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, PERIOD. TIMBERS, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, NOT GOOD. I ORDERED A PORK CHOP, IT WAS NOT A BAKED PORK CHOP IN SAUCE. IT WAS A HUNK OK HAM LIKE ON EASTER. I HAVE HAD PORK CHOPS IN NEW ORLEANS AND TIMBERS WAS NO PORK CHOP. THE CHICKEN PICATTA WAS FAIR AND THE CRAB CAKES WELL, THIS IS THE FIRST CRAB CAKE THAT LOOKED LIKE COOKED CHICKEN OF THE SEA TUNA. BAD CHOICE. CHART HOUSE IS COSTLY BUT THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD. TIMBERS IS NOT A GOOD RESTAURANT.
The food is good and big portions
The service was very good and it was a good value
Staying at the Lakeside Inn and Dinner for 3 people all ordered prime rib & lobster special 39.00 each. Dinners were cold, Prime rib Medium awful grey color. Rare no better could hardly cut meat. Baked potatoes were cold,Lobster tails were spongy & overcooked. $169.00later with a few cocktails & glass of wine.So disappointed and probably will not recommend nor revisit.
My first visit to The Timbers, and I was very satisfied with the service and food was great.
We have started going to Timbers on our annual visit to Lake Tahoe. Tim took really good care of us this time. After spending a day on the lake kayaking we were both starving. Food was great and drinks were perfect. We have made this a regular whenever we are in Stateline.
We recommended The Timbers for our friends anniversary dinner. They had looked at other steakhouse restaurants but felt they were too pricey. They were not disappointed with the value and quality. We all had prime rib and lobster with different sides and soup/salads. Add in a delicious Rodney Strong cabarnet and we were all in food heaven. Thanks for helping us make it a memorable dinner and evening.
