We had a wonderful dining experience at Tides last night! The occasion was catching up with old friends from CA. We never felt rushed. Service was very good and the food was amazing.
Lunch was great
Excellent lunch served in a porch setting overlooking the beach. My wife's watermelon martini was perfect. I had the fried haddock sandwich with vinegar fries, very good. My only feedback is to go a bit lighter on the salt on the fries. We'll be returning to try their dinner menu in the near future.
Très agréable, belle présentation des plats , excellente nourriture, mais un peu bruyant.
Great food. The lobster chowder was the best chowder I’ve ever had. Lovely restaurant and garden in front.
45th wedding anniversary! Dave Mahoney was our server and was outstanding! Food was outstanding! At the end we received a free dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate sauce! Overall a great night! Thank you Garry and Chris
Service was very good and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding.
After enjoying cocktails on the porch overlooking the Atlantic our foursome enjoyed a three-course dinner that was superbly served. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all delectable and appealingly presented. We’d dined at Tides in the past and very much look forward to returning.
Superb food and service in a casual elegant environment with beautiful beach views.
The food and ambiance was outstanding. Service was slower than pre-Covid but gracious and professional nonetheless.
Yummy and creative dishes . Love the location and beach decor !
A good experience overall.
Lovely setting and great food
While the server was quite busy, the food and drinks came along at a good pace and everything was delicious.
Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and views and please get the watermelon cosmo, omg I am obsessed with it!!! Yummmmm 🍸🍉
Wonderful evening with friends visiting from Florida.
Great location, food, and service; would definitely recommend.
Lovely view, excellent service. Wish they had more lunch appetizers but would still go back. Drinks were great!
Regulars who now see frozen lobster and diminished quality
Our dinner was delicious and the service was great, it has been a couple of years since we have been here, a lot has changed as to the menu, but we were very happy with our haddock and halibut dinners. You cannot beat the view!
Great meal and great service! We always enjoy eating at The Tides
Always a favorite when in KPT
Amazing. Great food. Are on the porch. Oysters were great and so was the wine.
Service and atmosphere were amazing! A little far from town and transportation in limited in KBT, but the restaurant and food were wonderful!
While my last visit to the Tides was exceptional, last night was disappointing. Our waiter was very blasé and either ignored us or just kinda dropped things off without a nice word. No feeling of hospitality. My halibut was not as good as my other visit. I must say, the watermelon cosmos are divine and my friend loved her meal- though not the service. Most annoyingly, it was only 9 and they started cleaning, putting stuff away, making lots of clanging noise and yet ignoring us.
Burrata salad was amazing!
Different physical plant from what we expected, but the staff was friendly and accommodating and the lunch was good.
Our waiter Dave was great, the food was great except for the dessert pan a cotta which was rubbery. We had a great time but didn’t like sitting across from the stairs and bathrooms.
Wonderful place, wonderful food. We had scallops with bucatini and it was outstanding. The service was great and everyone was so friendly! Definitely coming back next year!
All things were perfectly wonderful. A great evening!
Food was very good and service was great.
Everything was delicious from beginning to end, we will definitely be back!
Our server, Dave M, was fantastic. Such a better experience than earlier this summer because Dave M was our server. We’d/we’ll specifically request one of his tables next time. Still miss some of last year’s menu items, but Dave was a delightful part of our experience.
We had out of town guests and wanted to have a nice lunch. Everyone enjoyed their fresh well prepared seafood dishes from the tuna poke bowl to a hot lobster roll. Wonderful food, wonderful view and attentive service.
Beautiful restaurant, weather was raining so we couldn’t really see the beach, but food was outstanding from the burratta to the dessert, highly recommend!
We were very disappointed in this visit. We come to the Tides every summer and usually have a great meal. The menu has changed and isn’t as good as it used to be but worse than that was the service. It was very poor. Have two other upcoming reservations at the Tides that I’m going to cancel given how poor our experience was. Too bad as we love being able to walk to dinner.
The food was delicious but is you are going there for lunch plan ahead since there is no parking at the restaurant so the only parking is street parking. If you can find a space (we had to park at least a mile away), it’s $25.
We enjoyed the view on the ocean from the dining room. The food was good and authentic.
Wonderful service and food was very good.
Dealing with parking is a hassle and requires permit bought ahead at Kennebunkport Town Office or at machine at beach itself (unless you are overnight guest at the Inn) for $20 for the day. We changed our timing to be there before they opened at 11 to enable getting one of us to airport with comfort. Feels like the intent is more towards walk-in from homes or summer rentals or Inn guests. But, we made it work.
Great to be there early and staff is uniformly wonderful. Food and drinks also wonderful. Sitting outside was great.
The location and the food are excellent. We had to wait a very long time before our server came over to take our order. One member of our party was already seated and had ordered a cocktail about 20 minutes before the rest of us arrived - he still hadn’t got his drink and it was probably another 15-20 more before he did. Our waiter was very nice, but forgot some of our drinks and dropped cutlery on is a couple times. We would have also appreciated an umbrella over our table - it was a beautiful day and very full indoors, so we were at an outside table in full sun throughout our meal. Only two umbrellas for all of the seating areas in the garden seems a little stingy. Overall I’d go back, but hopefully we’ll get lucky and find seats on the porch next time!
